I get this weird adrenaline thingy when I think about my runs or my walks or my lifting...it is the BEST feeling ever and I am having it right now like .....I will explode if I don't get to be free which is exactly how I feel now when I move my body. I am free.26

new person in mr t's gym tonight, and i get this because while she was trying to sort through her first encounter with overhead press, i had actual contributions to make.
and she said they made actual sense and turned on a few small lightbulbs for her

My husband picked me up today!
He's just about managed to lift me off my feet before, even when I was over 200lbs, but I could always tell he was struggling a bit to even get my feet off the ground - he certainly couldn't move while doing it. This morning he decided out of the blue that he was going to try picking me up since I'm so much lighter, and he lifted me to waist level quite easily and carried me halfway across the room!
I'm starting to think that there's a small possibility I may one day get my jump-into-his-arms movie moment after all...

Four for me:
1.TOM on Wed and would normally curl up on the sofa after work. Away for Easter hols and really want to complete c210k before I go. I normally exercise first thing in the morning. Well I came home after work, got out the treadmill and completed W12 D1! First time on my period my weight is heading down hill, normally after the water weight drops off. My husband kept saying how proud he was of me
2. Fri morning got up at 5:15 for my D2 run and completed it!
3. Not a chocolate fan but during TOM always crave it. Walked the length of a supermarket Wed to Fri and didnt buy anything other than my salad! Previously this was my excuse for eating whatever I want!
4. Finally worked out my homemade popcorn portion.
Love this thread!23 -
Had a few this week, I had a staff mtg to go to and a coworker said I looked like a new woman and I got to tell her and a few others how I am doing it.
I just returned from 1 week vacation and with weigh in was up a couple of pounds but it doesn't bother me as I know I am getting right back into program.
I have to go out with family tomorrow and going to Olive garden, I already looked at nutrition and planned my meal already...
This site has changed my life, all for the better.30 -
This photo popped up in my Facebook memories yesterday. 2012. I didn't realize how far I'd come!

Only ate half of my birthday tiramisu, also I guess I no longer have sausage fingers because my wedding ring fell off in my sleep. I was in a panic looking for it and found it stuck to my husband's leg. I guess it's time to get it resized because I don't want to lose it for real. It isn't big or blingy but it's perfect to me.30

Went for a 2 mile run this morning even though it was rainy and I really didn't want to go! Feeling great now though19

All of this! Well done and it will help me keep my head when my TOM shoes up!11 -

If you still have weight to lose I'd hold off on resizing the ring... you could maybe wear it on a chain for a while, or get one of those plastic thingies that helps to hold it on your finger, or even wear it on a different finger if it fits?
Mine now fits me pretty well again... some days it's tighter than others (especially if my hands are warm), but I still have a way to go before I reach my wedding weight and I wonder if my fingers will actually be smaller when I'm done! Since my band is patterned I don't want to have it resized until I'm sure I'm happy with my weight and shape (that's why I never got it made bigger - I always told myself that "one day" I'd be able to wear it again. It's only taken about 20 years to get here... )12 -
This may sound kind of gross but ... so this thing happens to some guys who are over weight specifically in the belly area... basically if you are sitting and lean foreward the pressure of your weight will cause your stalk and rocks to become numb. The whole general area will tingle and go numb...
So anyways 15ish lbs down and I noticed when I did this while working on a project that the problem has been severely reduced ... still a bit of pressure but not like before.29 -
It was pouring all day yesterday and my stomach was a little upset, so I had to put off my c25k training.
But this morning was a beautiful day. I headed off to the local track and jogged for 32 minutes straight without stopping. This from the guy who thought running a single lap around the track was very hard just a few short weeks ago. The hardest part of the entire run was the vast amounts of sweat that kept getting in my eyes. I'm going to need a 80s style jogger headband soon.30 -
1) I can feel the base of my belly button lol!! It's not a bottomless pit and I can feel my HR pulsing. Makes me feel closer to my mom haha!
2) Someone asked me how much weight I had lost now. I answered somewhat awkwardly that it was 70lbs. They were floored. They thought it was more like 20lbs. Maybe my height hid it more than I thought? Either way, it felt GOOD.
3) Feeling sexy for the first time in my life!38 -
I finished my longest run to date today - 11 miles. When I decided to try to run a half marathon at the end of November last year I didn't think it was possible. But I signed up for one in April, downloaded a training plan, stuck with it and I feel Iike it's entirely possible. Not to mention I'm stronger and much leaner. So glad I didn't listen to those negative thoughts!33

Here are my slightly off-putting NSVs for today. Yesterday, a friend's husband who I haven't seen in awhile said, "Wow, don't take this the wrong way, but you look GOOD!" and today a store clerk asked me if I was single. In all my 50 years I've never been complimented by men on anything physical and to have these two comments come back to back makes me think--Hey, maybe losing 125 lbs really is noticeable! (I struggle with seeing any change in myself.)46

Tonight we had dinner with friends of my husband who we haven't seen since New Year's. One of them told me twice how good I looked, sounding genuinely surprised. I felt a little awkward, but it was nice, too.22

My mom told me today that she no longer worries about my health.56

My husband has stayed relatively quiet about my weight loss and insists he likes the way I look at any size, but today I noticed he's changed my contact picture in his phone to the new, thinner me47

I walk to work daily (Mon to Fri) and see the same elderly man and his sheep dog every morning. The man and I normally exchange greetings and the dog just runs past ignoring me. Yesterday (Sat) I decided to walk my regular route and there they were. Pleasantries exchanged but the strangest thing happened, the dog ran ahead of me, turned around and came up to me licked my hand and brushed against my leg....as if to say well done...I see you doing something different.33

How sweet. You're part of his posse now! My neighbor's sheep dog is always trying to herd me; I might just let him one day and see where we end up.18 -

I had run a couple of 5Ks that year, but hadnt run consistently for quite some time. When I started training I could barely make it ten minutes, lol.10 -
I got told this morning my boobs look bigger because my waist is smaller. Not the classiest compliment but the first time someone has noticed in real life.35
