Didn't know I could run or lift until I started in my 40s! Now all my real life friends are whining about getting old and fat and falling apart while I'm in the best shape of my life. Would love to have a few more "old" friends who enjoy the same things that I do.

I started 10 yrs later than you, I have a funny shoulder so not done the weights, but keep saying I want to try. Joined a beginners running group last yr, I feel healthier & fitter than I did 20 yrs ago!

I am 53 and retired to the Philippines (from Texas). Hoping to find some like minded people here. I have been tracking for 6 months on another site and they keep "improving" things, and have improved me right out of there ha ha. Thought I would check out the community here.

...no way I can add my 6 months of tracking here.... bummer....

Hey middle agers. Am scheduled to try suspension yoga tonight,. Looking so forward to that! Did my indoor walk yesterday. Thank goodness it was scheduled for indoors as the wind was RAW yesterday.

Have a great weekend all. :)

    Hi everyone!
I'm an (*almost*) 44 year old, mom/step-mom to 4 teens, & battling daily to maintain a healthy weight & reinforce a positive outlook on life. It's tougher to lose/maintain in your 40s, so I am discovering. But, just lost 10 pounds in 5 weeks by the old tried & true method--diet & exercise! Oh yes, YOU TOO can do this! I'm here to support your efforts, I get it. Feel free to add me.

hate to admit is but 39 :( but hey, the older we get, the wiser we are right? in this case yes, if I knew what I knew now, no smoking, drinking, all that crap, chocolate and sweets, fried stuff etc

then I wouldn't need to put myself through all this

Aloha middle agers! Back from my vacation and ready to get back into the swing of health and fitness. Although, I did pretty well while away - always on the move and eating well. But, I did have wine. Maybe too much wine. Oh, and a few mai tais. ;)
