Hey All...I might be late but I am here. Back at MFP after 2 years but was successful before!

I only lost 0.8lbs this week but I am still happy because it is the third week in a row that I lost weight because later I have been having trouble with losing then staying the same then gaining or losing again. Next week I am due for TOM so hopefully I won't gain so hopefully I stay the same weight or it will be even nicer to lose while I am on.2 -

Weight loss method: 18/6 IF, no dairy; hooping/walking 180m/week, gotta cut out my evening Michelob ultra- next step for sure!, and add another workout!1 -
My strategy focuses on insulin. Insulin acts like a road block on your fat cells and determines whether you store vs burn the food you eat. So my entire focus is on manipulating my insulin levels to keep them low. I follow a pseudo-keto diet (zero sugar, grains, pasta, rice, potatoes... but unlike keto, I don't restrict my veggies if they push me over the cab limit). I also occasionally fast and use intermittent fasting to deplete my glycogen stores and boost metabolism/growth hormone, especially if I know I'm about to attend a social event, etc., where my carb intake might be a little higher or out of my control. I also keep my fat intake relatively high to help promote satiety.
I've dieted my entire life and the calorie-in-calorie-out thing doesn't work for me (my body is very sensitive to calorie fluctuations and instead of losing weight, I just suddenly get super cold and my metabolism decreases, while my weight stays the same... probably due to years of metabolic derangement and extreme eating habit yo-yo's). So calories don't carry much weight to me. More important is what my body does with them: store or burn. Which is determined by hormones. (And also why some people, especially guys, can eat massive amounts of food and not gain weight.)
I work out about 2-5 times per week (depends on how busy/overwhelmed I am), because I enjoy it and want to get stronger, but I don't stress over missing a workout if I can't. My workouts consist of a warm up cardio followed by weight training. I'm chronically sleep deprived, which is a problem, but every now and then I get a free weekend and sleep for hours and hours -- always results in a big WOOSH on the scale!!!

10 Weeks and 4 pounds left! I can do it! Even though the last month has been me playing catch up with my weight loss, I'm still feeling good about my progress.
Goal for next week: 7 years ago, I did Jillian's 30 day shred... for like three days. My goal for this week is to play the dvd and see how much I can do.
Highs this week: I'm still walking a lot, and I chose salad instead of french fries when we went out to lunch the other day!
Low this week: Have you tried the vanilla cupcake m&m's? Don't bother-- they're not very good, and I tried enough for all of us!
We're in the home stretch! Let's finish strong!

Thank you so much @stormywxs288 . It has been a challenging journey but I feel like I am more determined this time . I lost 65 pounds on MFP a few years ago then stopped tracking only to gain it back. I know I have to change my habits forever . I have changed my goals now from 2 pounds a week to 1.5 . It is hard because I want the body I dream of right now but just have to keep going in a way that I can do forever.1
