HELLO... I know, I know, it's crazy but I now want to join this group! I have actually about 50 lbs to lose, but I'm just now going to start eating healthy and being accountable. I am 42, I have 2 kids (2 1/2 and 1 yr old), My current weight as of this morning was 215.2. At my highest I was 270, at my lowest 167. I got married in 2012 when I was at my lowest. I have since gained a lot of weight and it's not fair to me, my husband or my girls. I don't want to go another summer feeling fat. I will be starting either Slim 6 or Chalean extreme (still thinking about which one) I have been doing 21 day fix but my eating has not been the best. (we all know eating is more important than exercise when loosing weight, although of course exercise is still very important) Anyway, I want to join the group now to see how much I can lose from here to the goal day. Looking forward to support, motivation and accountability.4

Weight loss method: Weighing, measuring and logging all food. Ensuring I have enough protein and good fats for satiety. Kettlebell and lifting workouts. My goal is 122g of protein each day and 25g of fiber. Workouts consisting of kettlebells and lifting. I also try to incorporate HIIT and Tabata as well.

Challenge Loss: -26.8, 89% of the way there and 3.2 to go!. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but I should be at approx. 180# by 6/15/2017, which would be a challenge loss of 36#, assuming a loss per week of 1.2# until then. It will be interesting to see if I make it that far or not.
This past week's challenge: My husband not being supportive and telling me I'm self-absorbed for weighing my food.
This past week's successes: Very consistent logging. Still weighing everything, despite what my husband says/thinks. Ate a fair amount of Easter candy on Easter Sunday (intentional), but got right back at it and didn't let the excess calories on one day derail me, which is my historical pattern (all or nothing, perfectionism, etc.)
My upcoming week: A lot going on with my kids (soccer starts, dance competition, etc.). Meal planning, drinking enough water, planning my workouts/sticking to the plan, and adequate sleep will be important. My exercise routine has been spotty, but I've been getting my steps in (I've average 11k per day so far in April) and the consistent activity goes a long way in keeping my TDEE up. However, I really need to do a better job of fitting in lifting and kettlebells because otherwise I start to feel squishy.1 -

Weight loss method: low fat, low sugar, low calorie, logging everything I eat.... and TRYING to lay off the alcohol.
Ugh.
I had a 4.5 gain last week, and then by a miracle I lost 4.5 pounds again this week. I've been losing and gaining the same four pounds for the last month.0 -

Hello! I am a post-bariatric patient. On June 25th 2013, I had the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy procedure done. My starting weight was 340 lbs. In the 4 years since, I have lost a total of 158 lbs overall but recently, 30 lbs have found me again due to chronic pain and other medical stuff going on with me, not related to that particular surgery. I need to restart my journey and get it off of me so that I can get back down to my lowest weight of 182 lbs. This is quite a check for me and I know I can do it with lots of support & I will be happy to support ya'll too! :-) (Thank you in advance)3

Just saw this thread today. It's a bit late for anybody to start losing 30# now with a June 15 deadline, but for those of you already in progress I just wanted to give a little encouragement. You can do it! I've already done it! I began MFP only 71 days ago, and as of this morning I'm down 37.4 pounds.2

2 weeks ago I bought a treadmill (I was doing 21 day fix before and I started running 3x a week in addition) and began drinking coconut oil blended into my coffee - I think the combination of the two has spiked my weight loss as I have lost 5.2 lbs since!!3 -
How have you gotten used to the coconut in your coffee? I like certain baked goods and pina coladas - yum! But I just can't take the taste when I try to fry with it or stir it in my coffee. I'm trying to eat more avacado to hopefully accomplish the same thing.1

Challenge Loss: -26.4, 88% of the way there and 3.6 to go!. I did have a set back this week, but I know it's because I'm female and all this extra water weight I'm carrying should go away this week. I have continued logging and eating at a deficit, so I would be really shocked if the gain stuck. My goal is still to be around 180 by the end of the challenge and hopefully meet the challenge goal by the next weigh in (this Thursday).
This past week's challenge: I've been very busy with my kids and getting accustomed to working more regularly (substitute teaching). I love the challenge and the children, but it definitely takes some planning to stay the course for eating. I only fit in one workout this past week.
