Paula: You are WAY too funny! I am so glad I didnt see that but great I better not be looking for it tomorrow!!! Awesome job on sculpt 3-4! I dread once we have to squate/lunge combos I want to cry!

Home sick today with a head cold so hit the Sculpt 1,2. Don't think I have got that tired before. Its great feeling pushing through that feeling of wanting to quit early. First time ive felt that way.
Still having a really tough time with the 7-7-7's I just can't do the in close push ups. I have always tried to do them but never been able to get more then one so I usually just move on to the next set of pushups. So today I figured might as well get something done and dropped my knees and did them female style. Still hard but able to get my seven in then do the next set of pushups normal style. Anyone have some ideas to help me get through these and get stronger at these particular pushups.

Hey Everyone! Tonight I changed things up as I just was not in the mood for any Yoga although the 1 on 1 is good! I just wanted some cardio. So, first I did 10 min trainer Cardio and it was really good. Then I did 1 on 1 Cardio and that hit the spot! I burned ALOT of calories and it just felt AWESOME! What a great workout tonight!!! Tomorrow I have Legs & Back...
Thury: There is nothing at all wrong with doing those push-ups on your knees. Those are super hard ones and I even struggle with them. Good job modifying. With doing them on your knees, you will build up the strength in your arms and one day you will do them on your toes... I am so proud of you for getting in there and working out! We all get that way sometimes, even Tony... In the workout I did tonight, 1 on 1 Cardio, he was super grouchy at work and kept saying he we not in the mood to workout. 3/4 of the way through, he was back to his normal nutty self and dancing around and said he was so glad he pushed play now...
Well, gotta get to bed. I hope everyone has a great nights sleep and excellent workout tomorrow!

What do you think of the 10 minute trainer videos?
Are they worth buying, I was tempted to get them just to pop one or two in in the morning then get home and still do my power 90.
Also thought it would work better for my girlfriend but she has a hard time with the hard impact stuff prefers to just walk on treadmill, tony kicked her butt and shes still mad at him. Just curious what you think of the ten minute trainer.0 -
Good morning.. see I am finally on top of things. hehe
Yesterday I decided to do Legs and Back since I knew today I wouldnt be able to workout since we are going to see Howie tonight. I might try to do some cardio at lunch today and that just might consist of shoveling snow, go figure. I love legs and back, I felt so good after doing that. Man those wall squats and the tippie toe lunges.. wowy. I was shocked I kept up with the workout of all those squates and lunges and I still felt like I could do more after. I love how I am feeling, not totally out of breath now doing the workouts. I really did push myself on this one and just my butt feels a little sore and my calves.
Tomorrow I think I might bring out the ultimate bootcamp tae bo since I didnt find Kenpo was enough for me and I know taebo really makes me burn. And then I am sure Jenn and I will do something fun on sunday to make up for my one day off today. hehe0 -
I am chicken to start with P90X but I want to see results. Do you need any specific equipment or just the handweights.
Jenn - I was happy to see that you use 3 and 5 pound weights - I have been on 3 lbs and was planning on getting 5# this weekend. Now I don't feel like such a whimp!0 -

Stayed in the scratcher this morning and made a deal with myself to go to the gym at lunch time and get a 30 minute run in and then do the 200 thingy ma gip abs thing.
So, that's the plan.
Tena: I do like your recommendation to go to the modified (I prefer that term than "female") push ups as at least that way you're working the chest and arms rather than just standing there waiting for the next workout. I say this 'cos I find those close push ups a byatch to do so, now, I'll do the wide and normal ones on my toes and drop to my knees when they get really difficult but at least keep working. I like it!!!

Good Morning Everyone! I slept super good last night and IT'S FRIDAY!!!!
Thury: I do like the 10 min trainers and regularly just pop them in as you mentioned. I burn anywhere from 100 to 200 calories in those 10 min workouts! I do recommend them. They are a tough 10 minutes though. Did you ever get an email indicating they switched your coach to me??
Jen: I have something for you to do... If you do not have weighted gloves, buy a pair and wear them during your Kenpo... It ups the calorie burn and makes the workout great! Jan on my other thread did it when I recommended it and almost doubled her calorie burn.. Just an idea... I wear mine all the time in KenpoX and Kenpo+. I even went and bought heavier ones. Need to buy even more heavier ones soon...

Tena I could not find any gloves like that, they had the wrist/ankle bands but those would be irritating if they kept sliding on my arms. I will have to go to the fitness place to find them instead of walmart and such here. Thanks for the suggestion, I just like the taebo since it used bands almost the entire workout there too.0

Also try the beachbody website. Go under my profile and I think they sell the gloves separately. I got them with my Turbo Jam workouts..

Well hello Everyone!
Today was a little different for me working out.
I started out this morning doing Ab Ripper 200 and then I got a really bad headache so once I was done I took 2 Mortins and then had breakfast.
I did Sweat 3-4 about 12:15 and it was an awesome workout!!! For the first time I got through all the leg lifts and arms! I didnt have to just do legs and keep my arms down I did it all!
I really hate the I got through most of the jumping jacks, running I can do its those damn run lunges!
By the end of it I was soaked! What a great feeling!
Paula: Sorry I didnt see Tony's surprise but I wasn't looking I try not too look at the tv..I dont want to be scared lol
Off to see a taping of Howie Do It tonight at our casino tonight with my BF, Jen and her husband.0 -
I know what you mean with the arms up. My arms get sore just from holding them up through all of the kicks and everything. Great job getting through it though,0

Got my 30 minute/3 mile run in and then did the Ab Ripper 200 thingy. VERY pround of myself as I remembered all 10 exercises and actually did 20 of each. Jesus, some days I ROCK!!! :smokin:

Hey Everyone! Well I am getting ready to do my bi-weekly grocery shopping. I am getting it done early as I have a workout scheduled in WOWY at 2:30 CT with a big group of my buddies. Today I am doing KenpoX and Ab Ripper w/extra abs..
Thury: Don't be upset with your workout.. Be proud that you did get in there and do it! That is an EXCELLENT thing!! We all have those days so don't beat yourself up on it. Just look on the bright side that you did push play and did not just bag the workout and not do it at all... Did you ever send your email to BB?

I'm with you on the tri pushups. I just did Sculpt 3+4 and modified the push up for the tri's. STILL tough!
Please don't feel guilty. You got up and pushed play and exercised! Just think of the MILLIONS of people in the States who'll do nothing today....... and you worked out. I say well done!
Consistency is the thing. Sticking with it.

Hey Everyone! Just finished my workout for today and it was AMAZING AND AWESOME!! I did as Susan, my coach, suggested and did Chalene's Extreme Abs for a change and my abs were burning. WOW! It felt sooooo good!! My abs have not burned like that in a long time!!! Then I did KenpoX and I was already pumped up from the ab workout and had an amazing workout!!! I wore my 1.5 lb per hand weighted glove and burned 537 calories! I just feel amazing now and the Recovery Drink tastes soooo GOOD!!!
I just got my Chalean Xtreme workouts in the mail yesterday. I have 2 more weeks of Round 6 with Tony and then I will do a 120 day Round with Chalene... Can't wait... I also got my P90X Mocha Bars! I just love those bars...
I am soaked and ready for a shower!! I try to be back in alittle while!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, need it sometimes. I just hate that feeling at the end of a workout when you are not as tired and sweaty as you feel you should be. I was just venting a little bit. I get so exhausted after the 7-7-7's. I feel good today though we headed to the city for a banquet, and I knew they were serving burgers so we stopped at "Ruby Tuesdays" I was not really sure what I was gonna find but they had a cool salad bar that I stuck to so I am pretty happy that I stuck with my meal plan in a tough situation. I have held off this long for these situations to avoid temptation and I kicked its butt so I stayed within calories today in fact I need to have a snack before bed to get closer. I have a hard time getting up to my 1900 calories in a day.
Tena, Yeah I sent an email and got one back that they were working on it so you should hear from them anyday. I did it with my work email so I will not know anything until Monday for sure if they mentioned anything. Well off to bed to watch a movie then get up and hit the sweat 1-2.
Next Thursday is a month into the diet and next sunday is a month into power 90 for the new photo's and measurements. I am kinda excited, I check the weight probablly too often but its dropped quite a bit so I am pretty happy to check it. I will let you guys know the outcome next week.

Hey Everyone! Not doing too much today. It is a much needed Rest Day for me! I have washed a couple loads of clothes. Hubby usually does it during the week but I decided to do a couple today to help him out... I am watching the Super Bowl but only for the commercials. Hubby made a delicious dinner which we ate at the beginning and munched on delicious cucumber during the show. No fattening foods for us!!
Thury: You are now officially under me! I am your Coach!!! How AWESOME is that!! I am so excited and honored to help you in your journey for health and fitness! Don't ever be sorry about venting though. We are there for you for ANYTHING... You have my email if you have any questions or problems that you need me for. Plus I have free long distance and if you want me to call you, I will anytime you need me! KUDOS for you on preparing ahead of time for that banquet! I am so very proud of you!!! Question for you... How come your calories are 1900 per day? I get 1600 to 1800 calories max per day. Just wanted to know... Do me a favor... do not concentrate so much on the weight you lose but on how your clothes fit... Are they getting loose? Are you dropping sizes??? That is the REAL key to getting in shape. I can't wait to see your pics though! You are doing awesome! You may be like me and not see the differences til others point it out to you... So stay strong...

Tena: I am not really sure just kinda using the numbers that MFP gave me, that is not including workout calories though so it is usually quite a bit higher? Not sure if you were thinking that was low or high?0

Tonight I have Back & Biceps and I will do an Ab workout from Chalene Xtreme called "I've got abs". I did Extreme abs Saturday with my Kenpo+ and my abs were burning!!!
Thury: Everyone burns calories at different rates. I burn kinda high and always higher than what the website says. You should invest in a heartrate monitor but make sure the one you get counts calories too because some don't.. I have one made for a woman that I love. It is a NIke Imarha. It runs about $100.00.. But I really love it. Hubby bought it for me for Christmas..

Sculpt 3+4 again this morning. Man but that's a lot of squats. Feel good, had a great weekend and then won the superbowl pools at work! Ha! Maybe I'll treat myself to a good heartrate monitor!

Well today wasnt a good workout at all!
I started by doing Ab Ripper 200 and of course can't get through that. Then I started doing Sweat 3-4 and got to the leg lifts with arms and once I was done those 3 sets I had to stop. My body feels like it is 500lbs and I could hardly get my legs off the ground.
I know Ishould have kept going but when your body isnt working with you it is hard!
I hope to get more energy this afternoon and try again.
It also doesnt help that TOM came yesterday!

Well today I felt guilty for not being able to workout this weekend, I had great intentions for a sunday workout but then we had unexpected visitors on my door step when I got home from Elmo live... and then everyone came over for superbowl after this couple left.. oh well.
So today I did Kenpo X for my lunch hour and I will do chest and back with hubby tonight. I really enjoy doing cardio at work so i think I am going to just keep all the cardio workouts for my lunches and then do the weight training at night with dh since he doesnt want to do the high impact cardio because of his knees. what a baby!!
I had a great weekend, other than Howie do it sucks and we left after 45 min of torture especially sitting in the drunk section just about took me over the edge. hehe We had a great girls night out saturday at Jenns' watching Bride Wars.0 -

Hey Everyone! Just finished my workout and it was TOTALLY AWESOME!! I did Chalene's "I've got Abs" and my abs were screaming! I loved it!!! Then I did P90X Back & Biceps and lifted alittle slower and my arms and back were burning BIG TIME! It was such an AMAZING feeling! I definitely "left it all on the floor" tonight!!! Tomorrow I am doing P90X+ Intervals. That is a killer aerobic workout!!!
Well gotta finish my Recovery drink, hit the shower and then eat some dinner! I will be back alittle later!
