i see you and hear your goal...so be sure to touch base and let me know how you are doing? not strangers anymore! (sending you a friend request now)6 -

How do you guys determine what even is the goal? The mirror/scales/BMI ('normal weight' is still a wide range)/dress size?
I'm so close I've started to panic about 'what then?will that be enough?'

Get to your goal and then, after a few weeks, I am sure you will have a new mini-goal. Good luck!

Current mini goal: reach 153. I have about 5-7lbs to go.4

169.0 will put me into normal BMI. One more pound!13

I have a research conference I'm going to at the end of July. I'll get to see my friends and professors from grad school. I want to be under 240 by then, making me lighter than I was at any time in grad school. 14 lbs to go. I can do this.14

I made it to 50 pounds lost. I'm sitting at 131 lbs. I did the Shred for a week but the only time I could do it was at night after kids were in bed. I hated working out twice a day. Once I get closer to my goal weight I'll start adding strength at the gym when I go. My new mini goal is to get into the 120s, haven't been 129 for 5 years. Then my next mini goal is 125(weight I was when I first got pregnant with eldest child).
I am humored that when I hit 130(1 lb away) I'll have lost the same amount of weight as what my 7 year old weighs.
We went on vacation in February, about three months after i decided to get healthier, and I kept walking around holding my littlest, marveling at the fact that I had lost more than his weight off of my body...that I had been walking around carrying that much extra all the time!
It just puts it into a whole different perspective, doesn't it? Today I am at 130.4 and I look at my son and just think, I was carrying that equivalent weight around?!?!? No wonder I felt so miserable!!

I'm a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding, whom I haven't seen in 10 years. I started the journey on January 30th at 250, and I now weight 210. The wedding is in August. My mini-goal is to be at 199 by her wedding. Onderland would be such a wonderful mini-goal to hit for her wedding!16

In my teenage and adult life I've never seen anything below 180lbs, so the thought of it being so close is kind of scary, cause that's a new me, completely, especially that my shapes are shifting with weights and cardio.
How do you guys determine what even is the goal? The mirror/scales/BMI ('normal weight' is still a wide range)/dress size?
I'm so close I've started to panic about 'what then?will that be enough?'
When I started in the 230s, I thought 125 would be a miracle. When I got there, I danced around for a few moments and then thought, "I'm still kind of squishy." So, I kept going. I think I'll end up at 100 lbs. (I'm little. Think, "elfin.")
I suppose everybody is different: some people choose an article of clothing as the ultimate goal, some go by scale weight, some a healthy range for BMI, etc. For me, I have an image in mind -- a version of fitness I want to achieve -- so that's how I decided to keep going. (12 more to go.) I want to tuck in my shirt and have nothing sticking out. I want to look down when I sit and have it be flat. That may sound weird, but that's my goal.
Sounds like you have an image in mind, too?3 -
@youdoyou2016 I've got a hourglass figure, so my perfect body would look like Natasha Oakley haha Now I'm like that with a layer of fat1
-
When I get to 170 (4ish lbs) I'll get an electric shaver. Oh the time I'll save haha.3

To hit Onederland before I go to Disneyland... so close I did a happy dance after I weighed in this morning!!!

- Reach 40 lbs total loss - I'm a little over 1 lb away, so I'm hoping this happens at this weeks weigh in. Met! I've lost 40.8 lbs to date!
- Complete C25K - still going strong...I start week 4 today. One more day left in week 4
- Lose a minimum of 15 lbs by August 1st - since I made that goal I'm down almost 6 lbs, so just about 9 lbs to go. Down 8.1 lbs, 6.9 to go
- Make it to the 180s - just about 7 lbs to go. A little over 5 lbs to go...woohoo!
They all still seem within reach!
Updates in bold above, and a new one below.- Reach 50 lbs lost - 9.2 lbs to go.
On a roll!

Previous goal was to work out 6 days this week. I swapped out today's cardio DVD for a leisurely walk but I'm still going to count it. It was too nice out to exercise inside. So... Next goal is to work out 6 days next week. Onederland (again) is also a possibility as I was 202 lbs this morning. If not this week, then next!
I didn't quite make 6 days due to some freak weather - managed 5/6 days this week. Even so I'm happy with my accomplishment. This week my goal is to work out 6 days and also to get below 200 lbs--been bouncing between 201 and 201.8 all week.7 -
249>229>209>199>179>159>129
19lbs away til my first mini goal!6 -
I am struggling to lose a few pounds to make 50 lost and I have more to go but seem to hit a plateau and my mini goal is to stick with my plan as I know my body is changing in inches just not pounds right now, cross-fit is increasing muscle tone and decreasing inches.5

My current goal is 163 - which will move me from obese to overweight according to BMI.
8 lbs to lose. This is my first mini goal.
I'm so close! I saw 163 yesterday. I weight every day....I like to see the ups and downs.
Today was 164, but that's ok. Can't wait to reach that goal and set a new goal. YIPPEE!!!!8 -
Getting under 210, and fitting cute clothes.9
-
Seeing the 70's kgs... I've didn't see them about 4-5 years. And I've been 80-81 kg about a month. Cannot wait! Also my first goal weight is 75 kg (then 65 and then 55).5

I just went below 100kg (222lbs, righ?) first time since death of my grandpa, wchih caused me to get a bit lost. New goal: below 200lbs by the time i go to a concert with a friend in August.12

pacingoamy wrote: »My April goal was to lose 20 by our 2-week Italian dream family vacation (did that) and offset my vacation food opportunities with lots of walking. I gained 1 lb. during the trip and it's gone! So, new mini goals:
- get back to jogging 2x a week and hitting 10k steps 6 days a week through April
- Eating at a deficit 5x a week
- Lose 5 lbs. by Memorial Day (the weekend I have psyched myself up to buy a new swimsuit ... one that I LIKE....one that fits...one that doesn't hide everything but my kneecaps).
If and when I hit this goal, it will be my first time weighing this amount since I graduated high school. I'm 44!
I missed my Memorial Day goal by 1 lb. but I am honestly totally okay with it. I did buy that swimsuit and that was a little more traumatic than I expected. But, I'm almost 6 months into this journey and this last month was taken up with work chaos (overtime, travel, handling some issues between supervisors, etc.)
This is my life. And, I didn't get derailed during the last month, I just worked around the chaos as much as possible which is HUGE for me. It tells me I am beginning to trust the process and to lean into it when things don't go as planned....because it will still be there. Do my very best to stay within my range and get 10k steps in...that's my minimum and I STILL had losses (just not as quick)!
Next mini goal with no time frame...get under that new decade (that 1 lb.) and hit the 30 lbs. lost mark (3 lbs.). I am not within 10 lbs. of my ultimate goal. It will be slow...but I will trust the process.9 -
I want to be a skinny ninja turtle and not a fat ninja turtle lol9

I'm taking it one decade at time for now- if I can just get into the 220's I will be able to wear a lot of my pretty work clothes again. Recently lost some of the thirty Lbs i had put on traveling for work. Loving that empty/not overstuffed feeling! Not losing that feeling is keeping me out if the fridge most days.7
