I'm at 197.8 pounds, down from 214, and my goal is 150. I gained 70 pounds from being off my feet for almost 2 years due to hip issues. I had my right hip replaced a year ago and my left one 6 months ago. I've been trying to keep my carbs below 20 grams per day and I have been consistently losing and feeling great.6

Hi! I'm at 178 lbs and my goal is 150. This is my first time trying the keto diet. I've usually done very well losing weight on a paleo diet but all my bad eating habits have reappeared after traveling a lot for work. Looking forward to getting back on track with my health and feeling better!3

I'm in. 277 at the end of November. 214 today. Low Carb Healthy Fat (LCHF) lifestyle. I try to stay around 20 carbs a day and try to eat lots of veggies. I did low carb for a while without them, and prefer including the veggie stuff.5

Hello! I just started keto, today actually! I was clean eating and lost 15 pounds - 195 to cw of 180. Trying keto so I can enjoy some of my favorite foods again. What should my caloric intake be? Thank you for starting a challenge. Looking forward to losing with everyone! Any tips/advice/suggestions/websites/recipes/followers welcome.2

Already down to (well..its doing the waiver between 216 and 214 before it drops) from 234. Goal is 150... The mega goal would be 135. I'm 5'10 and not "big boned" like other people say of me. I travel quite a bit, thus hard to keep to a smaller portion/low carb diet. However, I've been mastering that by taking a lunch at least the first day and then can find places to eat healthy without the portions being too large. It takes work. Most of the time I can stay away from the carbs.1

Welcome to the challenge! I know some people up their cal alottment while on keto, I don't personally, but I find ketogenic foods to be more filling so I dont need a higher calorie count most of the time.
Anyone else have any advice on counting cals while doing keto?0 -
@tracyt829 welcome! Low carb snacks can be tricky without a refrigerator. I do jerky (check to make sure there isn't any added sugar or additives), walnuts, pistachios, almonds and maybe some fruit or veg that will last a few hours outside of the fridge... but nuts, fruits and veggies can all pack a surprising amount of carbs (even considered the fiber/net carbs).

I am in! I just started as well. I weigh 170 and want to get to 155. I am still researching and reading. From what I can gather I should be at 75% Fat, 20 % Protein and 5% carbs.
My plan at this time:
Stay under 20 grams of net carbs
Eat approx. 1400 calories a day

I'm in I started at 286 currently at 233.2 with a goal of 160. I lost 10.2 during the May challenge and would like to do that again. I try to stay under 25g total carb and 15 net carbs.1

Yesterday was quite the day... I had 27 overall carbs and 19 Net carbs so I will count that as a win. I've been fighting this clogged ear issue for a week and finally went to the dr last night. He put me on a steroid so we will see how weight loss goes this week, I was glad to see that I had dropped 2 more pounds this week. That is about 15lbs lost in the month since I started Keto.
I am finding it easier and easier to stick to as I learn which foods to avoid and what to add in to my day. Today I pick up from my crop share for the first time... so I will be adding in more veggies which I have been kind of pushing off the past week or two. I'm hoping to lose 4 lbs this month (a lb a week). I've been ketogenic on and off since the end of 2013 (put on it by my neurologist for seizure management) I went off of keto when I was pregnant and had a hard time getting back on. I struggled between 167 and 147 from 2015 through to this January when I decided to get back on track with the ketogenic diet. I'm finally losing weight again (albeit slow, but that's okay), and I'm close to my goal of being at my pre-pregnancy weight!

I'll join in. I have been doing keto a little over 3 weeks. Starting weight was 247, current weight is 233, and my goal weight is 180. I try to stay under 20g net carbs a day.0

I'm in! I'm also new to this forum but certainly not new to dieting. I've done keto in the past and started again yesterday. I have pretty significant arthritis in my hips and keto is the only thing I have found to control that. Last time I did it Nov-Jan I didn't lose any weight (but didn't gain over the holidays) and my arthritis was well controlled. I was eating only keto foods but I wasn't tracking carbs so I know that's why the weight loss didn't happen.
This time I'm sticking to under 20 carbs a day. Am still trying to figure out if that's under 20 net carbs or total carbs. Yesterday I had 30 total carbs and 18 net carbs. I would have been great except for too much Halo Top.
Current weight 249. I started January 2016 at 268, got down to 229 and gained back 20 lbs. Goal weight 150. First goal is 10% so 224. (Yes I'm an old Weight Watcher)
June Goals

- Weight lift 3x a week

Hi! I'm in - just started low carb, so I'm still figuring things out and could definitely use some support!
I'm over today (46 total / 30 net) - didn't realize just how much some things have!!!
Along with staying low carb, I'm trying to stick with foods allowed on the AIP diet also. I am dealing with fibromyalgia and hoping to reduce some of my pain and inflammation.
Starting Weight: 230 in Jan
Current Weight: 215
Goal Weight: 150
Goals for June:
- Hit my 10k step goal every day (hard to do - I sit all day at work)
- Reduce my pain / swelling enough that I am comfortable at my daughter's wedding on the 24th.

Count me in! Hello All, I am very new to Keto way of eating but super excited that I can sustain this for life! 30 days in and I am not sure how much weigh I've released because I am terrified of the scale but I feel great and positive I have lost tons of inches as clothes are so much more comfortable now.
Last known weight March 2017 232 lbs, 1st goal is 199 lbs to return to One-derland. It's been 15 years since I was a resident, lol. Thanks in advance for the support new pals
