The trolling is very strong in this one.

    1. The risk is 6% if you eat processed meat EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE
    2. I don't know where you got any of those numbers from but that's not how it works.
    3. Um obviously.

So two or more servings your sayingbis still 6% lifetime risk and 18% chance cholorectal cancer stil for two or more servings of processed meat?

No. The study showed that eating processed meat on a daily basis increased the risk for colorectal cancer by 18%. This means that if you have a 5% risk of developing colorectal cancer (the average), eating processed meat on a daily basis would raise your risk to 6% (6 is 18% more than 5).

So, what is the better choice?, fried chicken piece fried in trans fat free oil or a cheeseburger with 1/4 lb patty and the typical condiments and the enriched bread with hfcs?

    I'd go with the chicken.

nah i believe it because i reasearched that inflammation is bad, and the oil fried in it is not good because the smoke point of the oils for deep frying food is bad compared to coconut and olive oil.

This thread needs to be closed.

The thread is making me nostalgic for the fried chicken we used to get at Hardees 30 years ago. Crunchy, salty, greasy and spicy in a good way. With biscuits. That's the hypothetical chicken I'd choose.

Depends on your goals, the rest of your diet, etc.

Why are those the only choices?

Because i just want to know which is the healthiest, and yes i know their both not good for you but just wanting to know which would be the least worst out of the two..

    Genuine Broaster - Chicken Breast
    Servings: 1.0
    Calories 315 Sodium 1,360 mg
    Total Fat 9 g Potassium 200 mg
    Saturated 2 g Total Carbs 5 g
    Polyunsaturated 2 g Dietary Fiber 0 g
    Monounsaturated 4 g Sugars 0 g
    Trans 0 g Protein 43 g

Mcdonald's - Quarter Pounder with Cheese
    Servings: 1.0
    Calories 520 Sodium 1,100 mg
    Total Fat 26 g Potassium 0 mg
    Saturated 12 g Total Carbs 41 g
    Polyunsaturated 0 g Dietary Fiber 3 g
    Monounsaturated 0 g Sugars 10 g
    Trans 2 g Protein 30 g

I'd save a few calories & go with a chicken breast (more protein) and save room for a side dish too. Either can be part of a healthy diet. Should you eat fast food at every meal? Probably not, but there is room for a "treat" now and then.

If you are so worried about blood in meat causing cancer, skip them both. Period. Become a vegetarian, then you won't have to obssessively over-think it.

Personally, I would have the chicken, and take the skin off. I am gluten sensitive, so if I ate the hamburger, I would have to eat it without the bun, so the chicken would be my choice.
