Help! Bridesmaid dress doesn't fit. 2 weeks to go..

Getting it taken out isn't an option right now. Already had it taken in from losing weight prior and now it's too tight. The zipper does go up but barely and feel like if I move at all it may rip. I have 2 weeks to go. I hate crash type diets but any advice or similar stories??

Go low carb, you could lose enough water weight to make a difference.22

Try to have as little salt and sugar in your diet as possible and drink lots of water the week before the wedding. Your only real hope is that you're bloated and you can lose water weight to make it fit. The most fat you could reasonably hope to lose in 2 weeks is probably 2 pounds, and that's unlikely to make much difference in how the dress fits. That said, watch your calories enough so that you don't gain any fat between now and the wedding.7

Shape wear, low carb, lower sodium. You'll probably have to drop some water weight. Or you could get it taken out. It's two weeks yo.7

A tailor at the cleaners can add a panel to it. Maybe the store where you bought it has some of the same fabric. Though you did say you didn't want to go that route. Like 35 years ago when getting fitted for a bridesmaid dress, I told the seamstress to make it like 2 or 3 sizes smaller. She did. I didn't lose the weight. She had to add a panel to it. You need to feel comfortable in it to be able to dance, eat and have fun for those hours. Can you get a camisole in the same color and wear it underneath or where one of those shrugs?1

My sister was wearing a body conscious dress last week. I could have sworn she'd lost weight. But she was just wearing Spanx.9

Have you tried flexible eating? I lost 5 lbs in a week just by having my macros in the correct balance. It's great because you don't have to give up carbs! :-)3

Good shapewear. Spanx or similar. Worked for me - I couldn't zip the dress but with Spanx it fit perfect.5

Stop eating carbs for the next two weeks, water and glycogen depleting will help a lot. It will be temporary and miserable but your dress would probably fit in 2 weeks. Then enjoy your refeed day at the wedding5

Flexible dieting doesn't help you lose weight. Being in a calorie deficit helps you lose weight...
OP, I'd go with low(er) cals, low carb, cardio, get some spanx. And if you do all that, and fit your dress, please don't drink too much on the wedding day...I can't imagine your body would cope too well!8 -

Try the GM diet, it will definitely help to lose weight fast. Basically this is a low carb and calorie deficit diet which truly helped me. Google for more info on that.
I tried so hard exercising and eating under my calorie goal, still struggled to lose weight. GM diet kick started my initial weight loss.0 -

Just wear it during the service, then change into something that fits better for the reception.
It's just a wedding. I got married for $100 to someone I'd known for 2 months on a holiday, and been married 25 years and counting. It's just one day, and no-one but you will remember what you wore to the reception.14 -
I think the main issue here is that you're a bridesmaid. The bride will want a variety of photos at various angles. And ill fitting dress on what is her big day could be a problem. I'd just suck up and get it altered back out if it's an option.12

My suggestion is to start doing OMAD immediately, go low carb or keto while doing OMAD, and drink only water, mineral water, unsweetened tea, or black coffee throughout the day. Nothing with artificial sweeteners. Don't restrict calories during your one meal. I believe if you do this you will fit comfortably into your dress. Good luck.0

Could be lack of money or time. Depending on the extent of alterations needed, this could take weeks, especially during wedding season. It's not like taking up a hem -- as just one example, the tailor could need to find/order matching fabric. Then there could be lace, embroidery, beading, etc. to alter as well.

Is there a particular reason OMAD (one meal a day, with your option to not count calories and not to add 0 calorie sweeteners) will work better than counting your calories or for that matter NOMAD (as in NO stupid or MAD reactions)?
At least keto has the potential to drop a couple of lbs of water weight in a few days to help things along... but, really... the correct advice has been given before:
-- fix the dress
-- if you can squeeze you in with shapeware do it
-- do a reasonable deficit and lose some extra to fit in the dress with some water weight manipulation
-- take precautions and have a plan B in case the dress croaks on you
-- expect to gain it all back at the end of this5 -

Only 20g of carbs a day for the next 2 weeks. It might fit.
Don't get excited about the loss. You'll gain it all back as soon as you eat carbs again.1 -
I've been doing a -1000 calorie deficit since March, but not following any particular diet other than exercising daily and trying to eat good fats (avocado, black beans, walnuts, etc) and good carbs (fiberous fruits, whole grains) and plenty of lean protein. And that's a "2lb per week" diet. If you're not already dieting and exercising, it's reasonable that you could lose 4 lbs from a healthy, calorie-deficit with exercise. And like others said...if you just started, you may actually lose more like 5 or 6 pounds from initial water-loss.
I don't see why you'd need a crash/temporary diet at all because for me...every 5 lbs is about one clothing size in odds (juniors) or evens (ie: if you're a Size 10 ...you'd be more like a Size 8 or Size 11 more like Size 9). And I very much agree on the shapewear. Get a strong latex waist trainer and just throw it on for the event and that will shave a few inches off, too.
I say do a normal, healthy diet, exercise daily (which makes the -1000 deficit easy to maintain, and add the shapewear and you'll probably fit the dress unless it's wayyyy too small (Like a Size 6 and you're currently a 10). A crash diet will only make you gain back all of it and likely screw up your body for awhile afterward. It's not worth it.
Shapewear and corsets are a fabulous fast fix with no long term damage. A long latex trainer will cover the most torso area to ensure abdomen and upper back are as cinched as possible. Try "Ann Chery - Style 2021" available lots of places (I have this one):

I have a steel-boned real corset, as well but I don't recommend them under fitted clothes and you have to break them in slowly for weeks. Plus they're expensive if they're quality.2
