    Successes / struggles this week: Over the holiday weekend had a cookout and had things I shouldn't have, but followed it up with a good long ride on horseback to burn some calories. Was a bit of a mental struggle not falling off the wagon but I got back on fairly easily and am pretty proud of myself![/quote]

    Successes / struggles this week: At the beginning of May I dropped like 7 pounds solely from CICO and making healthier choices. Now I've started lifting and doing cardio regularly and the number on the scale went up a pound and has fluctuated up and back down to 174.5 since then. I know about water retention in muscles when starting new exercise. I know it's still too early to make big judgements. And I know that the scale is only half the story, but the last few days have left me really fighting against discouraging myself. I feel so hungry and grumpy all the time since I've started going to the gym, and not seeing even a hint of positive change is messing with my willpower. Been gaining and losing the same 10ish pounds for such a long time now and I just want to be under 170 for the first time in forever. :(

    Drank too much Saturday night so I craved a bunch of hangover food on Sunday. That's the hardest part for me once I eat poorly I mentally give up.

    I have struggled to get those last few lbs off but they are some kind of stubborn. Eating out is a real challenge. I had a work event happy hour last week: bad food and good beer, it did me in. And I just collapsed over the weekend and ate a pizza. by myself. a large. I don't know why I did that. sigh.. back on the horse today, right?!Good luck to everyone!

    Coming off of a two week diet break for my wedding and mini vacation. Back to the grind now!

    Main struggle - alcohol. Especially with the summer patio season, the social schedule is packed. And keeping up the strength to avoid free nachos after sports.

    Successes / struggles this week: Business trip, skipped a lunch, ate an entire large pizza in one sitting for dinner, was glad I couldn't weigh in Monday morning, but it would appear that the splurge didn't hurt me much if at all. It was nasty unfulfilling pizza, though. It didn't deserve to have calories. :lol:

    Stick with it! I literally went through this for like 1.5 months. I was already working out probably 6x a week, but I swapped out a set of workouts to lift heavy 3x per week, and I also added in C25K 3x a week, and the scale would not budge! I guess I shouldn't say it didn't budge lol, like you I was going up/down the same 1-2 lbs. it was approaching 2 months and I was like wth! And then out of nowhere I dropped 3 lbs! And every week since I've consistently lost nearly 2 lbs a week.

    It's hard, but in the meantime just try and focus on the fact that you're getting stronger or that you can run further. Maybe check your measurements! Just keep doing what you're doing.

    My muscles ache from working out. I have a sweet tooth and am trying to stay away from my husband and kids candy and snacks. Just trying to get use to the healthy changes for now and trying to master food prep for the week so when I work a 12 hour shift at the hospital I'm not eating junk!!

    Successes/struggles this week: Over the weekend was visiting family in hospital...their food options was enough to stick to lighter meals for that time. Gardening is also a pretty good workout over the weekend. I think I'll be doing more of it if the weather holds.

    It's all the beer garden's fault! Even though I biked 45 minutes each way on Saturday, nothing can overcome those pints of high ABV hoppy bliss. Monday's may not have been the smartest weigh in day to pick.

    Over the last month I am still up at there was a two week diet holiday, slowly working back to where I was. Expect to break 130 again mid week. Recently upped my calories by 100 per day to 1300. While I am love having the occasional snack or adding cheese to my meals again it is slowing my progress more than I thought it would.
