    Round 7
    6/11 SW = 174.1
    First Goal: 170

    06/12 - 173.8 < SO is home this week... Let's see how I do.
06/13- 174.4 > The scale is all over the place. Hoping for a good walk tonight
06/14 - 173.8 < Walked home from work last night. Dinner out tonight and driving over an hour to get there. That combinations is detrimental to my goals. Will see what happens, ugggh
06/15 - 173.6 < Ah.... Had the best dessert ever (well a shared piece) and not much exercise and the scale said down??? Go me!! .... Until tomorrow then.

06/16 - 174.6 > Here's that nonlinear thing... Good walk but dinner out again... Thought I made calorie wise choices but it could be the sodium. No run either I'm a little sad of that it's been a few days.

Will you be starting another challenge on the 22?
Can you all believe this is round 7? You've all been so faithful to stay connected and logging in to share your ups downs and all around! Way to go everyone!

Well, in our last (JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS) Round 6, we saw once again that what we eat and drink matters! Some more significant changes in weight loss happened as we logged the good with the not so good days! Many of us had NSV AND CHOSE TO NOT EVEN WEIGH FOR THE DAY AND THAT IS Ok! I was on vacation for most of round 6 and will be for round 7 as well--but I'm cheering you all on and trying to do my best as well!

We again added a few more followers and found it nice to encourage others along the way! We are learning every day what works and what doesn't on this journey! It's so great to have short term goals and to break up our long term goals in smaller increments so it doesn't always seem so overwhelming.

So Starting on June 12- June 21 | JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 7! Lets see what more we can do as we reach a total of 70 days consecutively!

    Anyone else game?

Weighing yourself everyday? Controversial you may say? Well for me personally, checking the scale can be motivating. I read in a study of 3,500 people who maintained 60 or more pounds of weight loss for at least a year, researchers from the National Weight Control Registry found that 44 percent weighed themselves every day. Another study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that overweight people are six times more likely to lose weight if they weigh themselves at least once a day. I don't about you, but it helps me and motivates me to keep going or to tweak what I did the day before. I never weigh more than just once in the morning. Our weight fluctuates constantly throughout the day with what we drink and consume, so only make it a 'once a day' rule for sanity sake.

Let's give it our best 10 days ever for an inspirational jump start to Summer!

Here is what to do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.

    On your mark
    Get set
    Go.....

Rather than waiting for the next round, I'm in at mid-stream. I've been having a hard time staying under my calorie target for the past two weeks, so this will be good motivation.

06/16 216.2 -- My lowest weight so far but Happy Scale says my moving average is 215.8 -- not sure how that happens. Yesterday was good; I had two pints, mindfully ate delicious enchilada suizas leftovers and still stayed under my target.

    SW: 202.2 lbs
    Goal: 199 lbs

    6/12: 202.2lbs
6/13: 199.6lbs Drank lots of water yesterday and also did my first day of Insanity. Not taking a diuretic or laxatives but finally getting a break through. Hopefully, my progress will continue but to reach the 10 day goal already, I may not be able to get my body to lose more. But day two of Insanity is later this evening.

6/14: 199.6lbs A good day yesterday for diet and exercise, second day of Insanity completed. No movement on the scale but that's okay. I'm hoping to have lost something in my measurements by the end of the week. More than anything, I'm just happy my weight is staying down and not going up lol. I did have a late night snack of about 2 cups of cherries so good thing they did not effect me.
6/15 200lbs Insanity Cardio Recovery, plenty of water and decent eating intervals.
6/16 200lbs :( Had a bad day yesterday. I was running around and my eating schedule was thrown off. Didn't get to do Insanity, but walked around NYC for 3 hours sightseeing and shopping. I hope tomorrow is better.

06/12 - 205.9. Yesterday was the first day that I've tracked my calories using MFP. I did pretty well, had about 150 calories to spare. I'm not following any specific diet, just eating what I would normally eat, which is a vegetarian diet, and watching my portion sizes, making sure to measure when needed. Today's weight is actually 3 ounces more than yesterday's weight. Hopefully it will start going in the opposite direction by the end of this 10-day challenge. Oh, and I exercised today. I did a beginners step aerobics dvd.

06/13 - 205.7. Down 2 ounces. Yay for the downward trend! Today I had a crappy day at work and I ate more chocolate than I should have. Stress is a food trigger for me and I need to keep that in mind and make a point to change my behavior (turning to food) next time. I logged all of my meals today using the MFP app. No exercise today. I'm going to attempt to get up at 5:15 am tomorrow and do step aerobics before work. We'll see how that goes.

06/14 - 205.8. Not the direction I was hoping for. I know from past experience with weighing myself every day that my weight fluctuates up and down during the week. On a good note, I did get myself out of bed at 5:15 am and worked out.

06/15 - 205.1. Yes! Now I have to keep this up. Didn't get up at 5:15 am this morning. I was tired all day yesterday from getting up early. I'm going to try exercising after dinner tonight and see if that works better for me. I've tracked all my food and today I started tracking my water intake -- 9 cups so far today.

06/16 - 204.6. I did a little happy dance this morning when I weighed myself. Last night I worked out, did one of the 2-mile Walk Away the Pounds DVDs, and that worked out better for me. This challenge is forcing me to evaluate what I'm doing as far as exercise and eating and tweaking as I go along. I like that. In the past, I'd never put a lot of thought into my weight loss attempts. I would just try to eat less or count points or sporadically exercise, and that's probably why I've failed in the past. This 10-day challenge keeps me focused and accountable, which is a good thing.

I like the idea of putting in numbers from other rounds because it shows how far people have come. It's 'only' 10 days but they add up when you keep committing. Sometimes it seems like a daunting task when challenges last for months. So here goes:
    R2 SW 221
    R3 SW 217.4
    R4 SW 215
    R5 SW 212
R6 Missed- Was away with no scale
    R7 SW 208.4 (June 11)

    06/12 - 207.8
    06/13 - 207.4
06/14 - 207.6 Getting close to a mini goal, as usual I'm going to have to buckle down and fight for it :)
    06/15 - 207.2
    06/16 - 206.6
    06/17 - 205.8 <3

    Round 1 for me!
6/12: 269 Couldn't bare to put 270lbs but I probably weighted more than that! Feeling pretty bad I let myself get to this point! I have never walked this much in one day in months! Feels great! NSV worthy!
6/13: 267.8 Surprised I lost that much weight, I might have overate on my calories a little! Teeehee!
6/14: 266.8 I had a little more snack than I should have had, but I must have been able to burn enough calories as to where it did not matter! Went for a walk this morning in heels, definitely going to have blisters on my ankles. Gonna go for another walk, as well. Nothing is stopping me anymore! >:)
6/15: 267.8 Welp! I ate something my boss brought back for me, and my heels were too busted to get a good walk in. :| I am extremely ready to get a 30 minute walk in after work! Looking at my weight loss so far, the gain could have been worse!
6/16: 265.6 WOW! Super excited to see that! Now I can start showing weight loss on my ticker, had to lose the extra weight I gained. Two coworkers gave me their leftovers, I split it between myself and my twin. Did not eat anything else because I wasn't too sure what the calories were. Walked but not as much as I wanted to. Starting to feel confident! B)
6/17: 263.0 Holy crap. . .starting to think I am not taking enough calories in? This is probably just water weight, but I can't believe how happy I am to see that number! I thought that I would still be dissapointed, that even though I have saw that number before and been on this path before the number wouldn't make me feel good. Lie! It does! Had a coworker's chicken tender leftover and decided that since I have no clue how many calories were in it, that was dinner! Walked for 15 minutes :) My boss bought me a Jimmy John's cookie..YUM! But I am saving it for when I have calories to afford! Meeting someone today after talking to them for weeks, so excited I got to lose this much weight before hand!

    SW:274 CW: 257 MGW1(mini goal wt): 249

06/12: 262.4 (up .2lbs but it's expected as I did not do much exercising yesterday and ate a bit over my cals. Tomorrow will hopefully be better as it will be Tuesday and I usually eat better throughout the weekday vs the weekend.)
06/13: 262.4 (More like Cal in Cal Out when your body wants it out...ugh. I wasn't that hungry yesterday and ate a little below 1200 (not on purpose) and worked out really hard. I guess my body is not used to it and is trying to hold on to every little carb and sodium I do take in)
06/14: 260.2 (I couldn't eat that much last night but forced myself to eat an apple and pb2 to get to 1000 cals after working out for an hr...will try to eat a bit more today if I workout for a long time...on a positive note that's 14lbs down in almost 3 weeks eating on average at 1700 cals!)
    06/15: 259.4 (Awesome beans!)
06/16: 259 (I couldn't workout last night due to the power going out...ugh but I still went down .4lbs so I am content...now here comes the hard part...the weekend)
06/17: 257.8 (I was so busy yesterday that I barely had time to eat. Still managed to get in at least 70 mins of exercise in and 1200 cals (at least I think...I hope I am not underestimating my cals) though!)
