    Food is food.
    Thinking and speaking in terms of "superfoods" encourages ignorance of proper diet and nutrition.

    It is on par with discussing which OTC supplements are best for weight loss.
    Here is a hint: They are all a waste of money

    Get enough protein for building muscle and sufficient carbs to fuel your workouts.

    I don't believe in so called "super foods" to me its all about the quantity of meals, calories, fat, carbs, protein, sugar, fibre etc etc but I do have to say I enjoy some of the switches I have made like cottage cheese instead of cheddar cheese and popcorn instead of crisps (potato chips) also I am enjoying foods I never tried before my lifestyle change and thats couscous, chia seeds, linseeds/flax seeds, kale and overnight oats, instead of reaching for that bag of potato chips that I used to do due to laziness I spend a little time and blend myself a smoothie or a juice :)

    While I don't believe in any food being a "super food", I've found that Halo Top ice cream completely satisfies my craving for dessert and fits well within my calorie goals. It works for me!

    hmm. If I had to pick something as a "superfood":
    Beans. high fiber=filling, +protein as a bonus, +cheap
    distant 2nd:
    Lettuce. Can munch on giant piles of this stuff for nearly 0 calories. (great for boredom &/or volume eaters).

    I have found that the Johnny black is good and easier on my wallet...

    No superfoods. Certain foods have become staples that help me reach my goals. Yves veggie dogs (45 calories, 8 g protein, 15% of my iron RDA); Quaker Corn Squares cereal (30% of my iron RDA, satisfies my occasional wish for something sweet), Greek yogurt. But it's all about finding the right balance for health, energy, and satiety while in deficit.

    All food is super, but I'll play along with @ninka_polish because my gif-foo is weak.

    I first experienced having kale in my house when one of my daughters started asking me to purchase it for her. She shredded the leaves into a baking pan, sprinkled them with cheddar, and baked until it was done. I don't understand what she sees in that. Eventually, I started experimenting with kale for my own food.

    One of my breakfasts is a bacon-egg sandwich. When I add 10 grams of shredded kale leaves to my sandwich, which also has cheddar and hot sauce, the kale provides a 'crunch' in the mouth-feel which brings the whole sandwich to life for me.

    Another of my breakfasts is a simple green smoothie I make using kefir, frozen banana, kale, PB2, berries, hemp seeds, and ice. The taste is 'clean' if I can say that, as it doesn't give the sugary mouth-feel of a commercial shake. I like it.

    Dates are a super food. I include a date in my daily workplace food plan.

    I've recently discovered that I like yogurt and greek yogurt with granola and PB2 mixed in.

    Eggs. Sweet baby jesus, how I love them! Also popcorn. When I get home from work I want to inhale everything in sight, especially when I'm cooking. Eating a couple handfuls of popcorn satisfies those cravings. Also, chewing gum helps me not eat what I'm cooking.

    Hello:) for me it's a hen EGG. It keeps me full longer. Warm boiled egg gives me this feeling of a successful meal whether it's part of breakfast or supper. It's a protein source together with vit B and minerals. What is your one superfood and why?

    I always get a kick out of the term "hen egg". I think it is safe to say that whenever someone says just "egg" that is is from a hen (chicken). You only need to use something before the word "egg" if you are referring to an egg from another source, such as a quail egg. I have actually seen the term "hen egg" on restaurant menus. It is just a regular egg people.
