Crunches are the easiest for me. I had my wrist reconstructed last fall, so push ups can get painful, and I'm recovering from tendinitis in my Achilles tendon so I haven't done squats or lunges in ages. I had some serious DOMS this week, but I'm getting up to speed again.1 -

Days 4 and 5 are done! Yay, it helps that I already do 75 crunches a day. Hate those lunges though.

And this should "count" for exercise calories - I'm breathing harder doing these than when I'm doing cardio.0 -
Day 6 done! I've got another 2 challenges I'm doing as well, but this one is tough. The other 2 are done at the end of the month. This one will take f-o-r-e-v-e-r, but I'm up for it!0

I'm starting C25K on Monday. I'm not sure which of the challenges will kick my butt worse!1

Right now it's 100 second plank that's killing me. We'll be at 2 minutes by the end of the month. I have to cut the plank as it is right now- get it? Ha ha! Cut the plank....wow how punny...0

Day 7 complete. Whoa, I can't imagine doubling the squats. We're 1/4 of the way done, if that makes you feel any better!0

Yes, the plank is harddddddd. But the pushups are getting easier and I am doing them better. The lunges, however, are not going well. However, we will push on and persevere.1

Day 7 done - I did 30 squats & 20 lunges at the gym (as well as plenty of crunches & push ups so no break with those). So only a few extra I did at home.1

Lunges can suck, as there are so many ways to do them badly. I was doing the full number of lunges on each leg- until today. I pulled both my quads. I'm guessing it was the lunges, but it could've been the squats. My quads are notoriously tight, and I didn't do any warming up first. My bad, and tomorrow will be worse. Learn from my mistake and good luck reaching those insane numbers later in the month. I may split them into 2 separate "mini" workouts.

Day 8 done, and I'm huffing and puffing a little bit! Whew. I pulled my quads yesterday, but they recovered better than I thought they would. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to walk today! That's happened before. I think a walk last night helped too. Keep stretching and keep strong!1

Just gave blood this morning, but I know by the end of the day I will be strong enough to complete day 9. It is good to already feel stronger.0

Maybe skip the push ups. You don't want bruising. I once put a Christmas tree out for pick up the day I gave blood, and my whole forearm bruised.0 -

I am having a really hard time with the lunges. I just have terrible balance. I am working on that, because as I get older, I certainly don't want to start falling. I am doing them, though, and will continue to do so. Anyone else have balance issues? What are you doing about it? As SheilaCali said - 1/3 through. Yay.0
