Back again!! I enjoy my daily check ins here. Keeps me on track and motivated to move beyond daily fluctuations.

GW - 150 and then reassess how I feel
07/01 - coming in from Round 8 - 157.3lbs
07/02 - 159.4lbs - again on my Mom's scale. Celebrated Canada Day with too much good craft beer and some very salty ribs I'm going to pay for over the next few days. But no regrets!!

I'm in! I just turned 42. Like most, I've struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember & am crazy busy with my teenager. I am "pre-diabetic" & have a hereditary heart condition. I forget to eat & drink because I don't have those "triggers". You would think that would work in my favor but obviously not. My doctor just told me I have to make myself a priority so here I am committing to doing it TEN DAYS AT A TIME. This pic is a reminder to me where I'm starting.

I started yesterday with a HIIT workout and I've found that exercising 1st thing can put me in a healthy state of mind for the day. That being said, yesterday my friends and I threw a going away event for a soldier who is being shipped overseas for a year and I ate waaaay too much. I guess the moving around and setting up made a difference though.

07/02 - 137 YIKES!!! This is a good reminder why I don't eat the way I did last night on any kind of regular basis! It tasted better than it felt. And I knew while I was eating that I would regret it in the morning. Lesson learned. And I have already repented and ran 5 miles this morning. Hopefully it won't take the entire challenge to get back to where I was and a little less (I hope). Shameful

I'm in. Weight 07/01 = 271 -- but I did see 269 once during last week. This week's goals -- no take out Chinese after twice last week and more days with SIX as the second digit! There will be at least one hefty meal for the holiday weekend: a rib-eye and a large russet are calling my name from the fridge.

My goal is to stay within my calorie limit of 1600 & to only eat Half of my exercise calories back. I am on a 'lose 1.5 pounds a week' goal so I hope to lose 1.5-2 pounds this round. Best wishes all!3 -

Thank you! I know there is no way that was fat...its almost pure water weight. lol only ate 200 cal over maintenance AND spent the whole day walking around. My guess is its the 4500 grams of sodium, the lack of sleep, and the sun burn i got. I'm back on this train.

I am restarting - getting back on track AGAIN today after another 'lost the plot' yo yo = a weight gain of 35 pounds after yet another loss of 56 pounds. (There have been a few of these) I hope that signing up to challenges and support will help me to FOCUS on my goal.
THE PAST IS NOT OUR FUTURE...WHAT MATTERS IS NOW AND WHAT WE DO NEXT. May lightness be with you all!
07/02. 136 pounds (9 stones 10 pounds) today. It's my birthday tomorrow so a good time to get a good grip!

Interesting. I told myself I wouldn't step on the scale everyday but let's see. I'm pretty sure there would be weight fluctuations here and there.

Round 8--On vacation
Went on vacation for two weeks. Had a great time. The scale showed a 7.3lb gain, I thought it would be a lot more, but I know a lot of it is water retention, messed up sleep schedule, and extra salt from all of the restaurant meals. Ready to get back to regular eating and exercising. My goal for this round is to get back down to or close to my pre-vacation weight.

7/3 - 81.9kg - Holy Water Retention, Batman! To be fair, after being very strict for 10 days I had two days of eating just under 2000 calories so I was expecting there to be some scale recriminations. But weekend's over, back to the grind! I'll try not to let this frustrate me.
