Man, I'd be tempted to screw with people if I had this dynamic.
"I'll have the ginormous brownie sundae, please, with a side of large fries. Yes, ma'am, for my dinner, not after."
That made me almost spew my coffee. I just pictured every "I'M BULKING!!!!" meme. Too funny!!!10 -

I have ordered dessert for dinner before, if that is what I really, really wanted. Why waste the calories on dinner I didn't want?!?28 -
"-Support from friends/family can be pretty hit or miss.

^^ This is so true. It was very frustrating for me for a while because I felt very unsupported by a lot of friends, but you just have to remember who you're doing it for: yourself.
- I'm almost always cold now and find myself wearing a sweater in the middle of summer.
- buying clothes is the hardest! I've started buying things just a little bit tight so that I can wear them for longer periods of time. I have no clue what to do with my old clothes though, they're piling up!

I have done that before too. I forget where I was, but nothing but ice cream sounded good and there were not a lot of great options anyway, so I ordered it. For me, it is better than being completely unsatisfied and then wanting something more.7 -
-you will meet people who disagree with your weight loss methods
-You will find out everyone has a different opinion of what is best for you.
-Sometimes the only person you have is yourself and your doctor's
-you are going to have days you just want to do nothing

- Guys actually hit on me now. I think it's more the way I carry myself now that I like the way I look rather than because I'm 25 pounds skinnier, but I feel . . . visible.
- The amount of shame that gets aimed at you for losing weight. I've had people make comments about how I'm too skinny, others complain when I am excited that I finally went down a pant size, and far more feel like it's a judgment on them and launch into an explanation of how they need to lose weight but just can't. I never know how to respond to any of them. I'm not judging anyone. I'm happy to support anyone who wants to be healthier, but the changes going on with me are not a reflection on anyone else. This is my journey, and it's one everyone has to take alone.
- That I still feel fat some days. I own a bikini, and despite the fact that I know I don't weigh what I used to, I still feel naked and fat when I think about walking out the door without throwing my tank top on over it.

On those occasions when you do go out to a restaurant you don't care about being seated in booths anymore.22

For those of us who have answered the question of what we're doing to take off the weight with 'Watch what I eat and move more' only to be met with indignation or disbelief by our peers, apparently they are justified in finding that advice a bit flip and unhelpful? https://vitals.lifehacker.com/why-eat-less-move-more-is-the-least-helpful-diet-adv-1686146359?utm_campaign=socialflow_lifehacker_twitter&utm_source=lifehacker_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow7

That I would be sat in the steam room staring at how skinny my toes have gotten!! and my heels 'stick out' way more! clearly just the normal bone shape, but wow, noticeable!SarahSpalding22 wrote: »

do you have a cash for clothes near you? pretty common in UK, and you get around £5 per kilo. Not an awful lot, but better than nothing, and easier than trying to car boot clothing!

Hmm maybe I am remembering wrong. That sounds more plausible! I gave them 3 bags and they gave me £15 but yeah, I highly doubt each bag was a kilo. Sorry!
@Madwife2009 is correct!1 -

Your head plays tricks on you! Holding up a pair up pants and thinking "aw Hell no!... They ain't gonna fit, much less even make it past my knees." Then when I try em on they're falling off of my waist.
AND how good it feels to buy underwear now.. have to go to a totally different aisle because my size isnt in the "WOMEN'S PLUS" anymore. (I had to fight off tears in Wal-Mart when that one happened.)
I just did somwthing similar.. I was in walmart gettingvsone groceries and decided to go try on some jeans . . when i slipped into the 12s with such ease i teared up! Didnt expect that

How long food lasts when you're eating the actual serving size. Now that my go-to portion isn't "this whole thing, I guess," I grocery shop a lot less.44

Thanks for the EVIL suggestion

Before logging I could guzzle my way through a gallon of milk in less than a week, now I don't even get through a half gallon in 2 weeks....15 -
The cushioning you once had has gone and it is now more uncomfortable to sit on hard surfaces.
You go down shoe sizes, didn't realise my shoe size shrunk until I bought a new pair of shoes and found them to be far too big.
As a bloke when you have been XXXL in clothing sizes for a long period you get used to certain things being in proportion to your hefty size. You then lose all this weight and body proportions decrease but certain male parts remain the same size which is a large confidence boost.
My wife noticed the last change more than anything else to her enjoyment.

Upon reading this... it just makes me mad. It seems they are saying "The answer is not to go on a crash diet and then start an exercise routine you hate." Whereas I feel like "eat less, move more" is actually much more freeing and way less exhausting than restricting fad diets and a massive number of hours spent doing the latest exercise crazy that you hate with the blinding force of 1000 suns. Which is so not the same thing as "eat less, move more"
Maybe it is just that I respond to formulas (the more general, the better) with an exploritory and creative spirit, whereas I just resent rules.
Thing I did not expect because of weightloss: resenting the thinkpieces of people who want to complicate things unnecessarily. It made me feel hopeless when I listened to it then. Now it transforms me into a raging elephant ( albeit a thinnish elephant )

This unexpected development makes me sad: I've lost 18 pounds, started running and bicycling, and began the BodyPump class where we do a bunch of squats and lunges. And all the cellulite on my thighs is so much more noticeable! What the heck?! Do things get worse before they get better?8

Yes they do!10 -
Worst thing finding out when you lose a bunch of weight: the number of people who try to tell you that what you did or are doing is completely wrong.26
