SEPTEMBER FITNESS CHALLENGES

Let's go! One more month before we begin celebrating holidays. The special flavored treats are already on the shelves: pumpkin spice, cinnamon spice, Mexican chocolate, gingerbread, white chocolate peppermint, ugghhh . . . the list goes on & on.
I hit a plateau this month - actually, I finished the month 0.2 pounds heavier. I hate these times, we're so tied to our scales. Thank goodness I know that even if the scale doesn't move, I'm changing my body inside & out!
Are you ready? Let's get it!
We didn't do arms in August, so here goes . . .

A common question I'm asked is how do you log exercises that don't populate in MFP. I'm sure everyone has a system, but I time my exercises & then log the time under "Calisthenics" or "Circuit Training". If you have other methods, please share! Best wishes & GO GET YOUR GOALS!!!

I'm in for all 3, though I'm pretty sure no matter how hard I try 5 min of plank straight isn't gonna happen!!
I feel great after August's challenges and while my weight plateaued I know my core is stronger and my pants are fitting better.4 -

P.S.
My Daily Workout was done with modifications. I have two bulging discs so no jumping for me. One foot on the floor at all times & I'm VERY careful when lifting weights. Do what works for YOU!

40 crunches *
10 triceps dips *
20 side lunges (each side)*
15 incline push ups*
10 oblique crunches (each side)*
30 butt kickers*
15 jackknife sit ups*
Planking 20 sec
You will notice I omitted jumping jacks. The sad truth of the matter is that at 331.7 lbs, I am finding them much too painful. I find when I jump, my belly pulls down, and it feels painful.3 -
Day 1 done. A great start for September!!!1

Awesome way to tailor the challenge for you! You'll get there before you know it!

I'm in for planks. My wrists have been really sore lately so unfortunately the pressure on them from the push-ups and dips leaves me out of the complete arm challenge. I will hopefully be able to do the bicep curl/punches and change the dips to some other tricep exercise that puts less pressure on my wrists.1
