Forest fires in the mountains have laid a thick blanket of smoke over us, and the temp is going to the high 90s-100 today through Tues., so I won't be walking outdoors. Stretching & weights, and maybe some jumping jacks.

My body would strenuously object to calling 30 flights of stairs and 50 minutes walking a "rest day." Hahaha!
Are you still weighing at night? If so, (as someone already mentioned) that could account for a wide variation, depending on what and how much you ate or drank during the day. Best to weigh after waking, after going to the bathroom once (or twice) and before showering or bathing.
Consider really resting on rest days, too. Give your muscles time to recover & rebuild into fat - burning machines!
My two cents of advice. Keep on, the weight WILL come off!
LOL my body objected too.....Def resting forreal today! I get bored at work when I have down time so decided to just take a couple of extra trips up and down the stairs......I didn't do it all at once, it ended up being 30 flights and 50 minutes total throughout my 12 hours. but yea taking elevator today lol bc my legs feel like logs

@kelisueray You CAN eat healthy in Vegas. The places on The Strip are pricey and who needs a pass that lets you eat all day at several buffets?!? There are "fast food" places that can be healthy depending on your choice. And you will get in lots of steps if you don't stay planted at a slot machine!
@RenaPink11 welcome!
@sdelpapa CONGRATULATIONS! Eat healthy and don't gain too fast. Don't try to lose while you're PG.4 -
@iLadyT do you weigh first thing when you start your day?
When we exercise, our muscles hold extra water to aid recovery. When I started working out, I made it a point to drink at least one extra liter of water that day. As a result, I never suffered from muscles so sore that I had trouble the next day.4 -

9/02: 238 (ok so my bffs bday weekend continued with going to a buffet last night which I didn't want to decline because it was her bday weekend so I just tried my hardest to go with healthier choices which I guess paid off. If you get the salad first it really fills you.)

@shallid1 My primary reason for overeating is that something tastes good. You would think I was never going to be able to have it again!
@cyranda63 LOL wine and the liquid diet! I started drinking a full glass of water along with each glass of wine. No staggering, no hangover, no yucky mouth. Good job on staggering to your steps!!
@IDebraK we went to Golden Corral last night too! While the diabetic across from me ate about a pound of breaded fried shrimp and dozens of onion rings, plus more and then dessert and poo-pooed my Brussels Sprouts, salad, steak, and prime rib; I left fully satisfied instead of stuffed - a different feeling for me these days. I no longer think I have to "get my money's worth!"

Walking daily - 25 - 50 min
Day/Weight/Comment
8/31 - 176.8 no change. PNE last night for the B 52 concert. No drinking. Yay me that was hard though. Everyone was drinking. Booze everywhere. I did have a few of my friends poutine fries with honey pork & pineapple though. Donuts and muffins in the kitchen today. Could not say no. :-( Not looking forward to tomorrows weigh in. Tired again today. 20 min walk at lunch completed.
9/01 - 176.6 Wow it went down instead of up. I'm surprised. PNE all day today. Tons of walking. So sore at the end of the day. Did not eat properly at all. Poutine fries and junk all day. No real meals except breakfast.
9/02 - 175 - Probably from not eating yesterday. Today I am taking my dad to bingo, and dinner so sitting is the theme today. He is in a wheelchair so I don't get to do a lot of exercising when I spend time with him. I love to visit with him though.

Round 12: 174
Round 13: 171.4
Round 15: 166.8
8/31 166.8 Happy to be back in the challenge after being away for a week. Business trip to NYC and I lost a pound! I will attribute that to less alcohol, more water, and a LOT of walking!
9/01 168.1 Pretty sure I know what this is from. I want to say TOM, but not sure when that's happening due to hormones and heat waves in my body... ugh. I am hot, I am irritable, there is a heat wave coming this weekend... Yesterday I ate too much, did not track, and did not do any planned exercise. I did get my water in, though, and am drinking it like crazy today. It's a new day and so far, so good.
9/02 168.1 Went running on the treadmill this morning after a restless night of sleep. Went out to the coast to beat the heat! Avoided a lot of sweets from here to the beach and back. Stuck with my lemonade water (I have the little 5 calorie packets of Crystal Light lemonade water enhancers for when I am not motivated to drink my water and tempted to drink sweet icy things like Starbucks iced caramel macchiattos).

1/9/2017: 156.6 or 164.2 I got both readings this morning, and a whole lot in between. Scale is being temperamental. I moved it all over the joint, changed the batteries, still going haywire. Ok. This is it. 10 day weight loss challenge. I was 193.8lbs on August 30. Hopefully, I'll be at 191.5 lbs by the end of this challenge.
8/31 - 192.7.-- great! I was kinda expecting to gain weight because I overate dinner, of all meals! Good rhing I still lost a pound. Will surely exercise more control today.
9/01 - 193.6 -- uh-oh! This is what I've been afraid of! The other night was a little bit over my allowance, bit last night was really a problem. And today I'll be going out for another gathering! Hope I can still manage.
9/02 - 193-- the struggle is real! I'm glad I didn't gain weight but not minding just 2 of my meals is really scary. Still halfway of my 191.5 target.
9/03 - 194.5 -- I woke up feeling heavy so I was expecting this. But it's still disappointing. I'm disappointed with myself. Just 3 days ago, I was 192.7, and now, 4th day on my challenge, I'm already 2lbs heavier. I hope this is just water weight. But on the good side, the long holiday weekend is over so I can finally go back to my usual diet.

9/02: 65.3kg - can't wait to see the back of 65kg again

Although this is a 10-day "challenge," we're really comparing each 10 day block (Round) with the previous. It has been really helpful for me to look at the overall statistics of each round vs. the next and watch the High/Low weight and Average over ten days go steadily downward.
I try not to focus on the individual days an fluctuations, but I am human and they can sometimes irritate me as well. Do your best not to get dragged down with the daily results and look at the overall picture.
Hugs!!!

thanks dear! *hugsback*
I know I shouldn't be discouraged by this, I know that really. But it really irritated me, hence the harsh words for myself? I've calmed down now and all's well. This is my first time doing this challenge so I don't have a baseline for myself to compare with. Still, I'm moving on. I want to be lighter and healthier. If the scales doesn't look good today, then there's still tomorrow! I'll continue with my diet, exercise, and healthy living. We can do this!4
