ok I dare ya! Dare ya too come and GET HEALTHY with me. :)

YOU choose your own activity as long as it gives you STEPS OR MILES.... :)

YOU set your own PERSONAL GOAL as too activity and steps/miles ...

MY PERSONAL GOAL will AGAIN be 120 WALKING MILES

    In August, I ended up within the range I wanted to end up ... between my 2015 August and my 2016 August. I would have liked to get closer to my 2016 August, but a cold/flu/sinus infection kind of took me out of the game.

    I see September has been a relatively low-exercise month the last two years ... ideally I'd like to improve on that and do slightly more this year. :)

    First time here I hope a wee bit of swimming will count. I'll give you a run down of what I'm doing followed by an explanation. Daily 750m swim followed by minimum of 5k run. Oh plus walking the dogs ( but I don't count those). Looking forward to seeing everyone else's achievements in the group.

    'Pinch and Punch the first of the month' - Good morning today is the start of My September challenge. Normally in this my Birthday month I daily run our local big hill at dawn and dusk (around 1000ft of climbing over 20k). This year though I'm still coming back from a nasty ankle injury (torn ligaments and things) so for once I need to be sensible. So after much debate I've decided this month to do a swim run challenge this will be a 750 metre swim followed by a minimum of 5k run. This hopefully will be enough of a challenge without damaging my ankle and help bring my fitness back up. I'm weighing myself today and will on the last day of the month as I'm also going to be spot on with my logging.

    cindy as the FIRST POST explains you just choose YOUR OWN GOAL. Come and log progress as often as you can. You can log daily, weekly or whenever you have the time. I try too do it daily but sometimes even I am a bit behind!

    TODAY even though we've had a lot of rain past few days was not bad as I thought it would be. I manage a 50 minute BRISK walk by myself even though it started raining a bit and I did get wet. Later day it dried enough too walk the girls too.

    ...TOTAL MILES TODAY SEPTEMBER 1ST................5.25 MILES :)

    1/9 - 800m Swim - 5k Run

    No I don't count dog walking not sure why but never have. though one of my dogs does run with me (the mad lab) and she's been rather uppity lately as I haven't been able to run with her as much due to the afore mentioned ankle injury. My Golden (the handsome one in my Profile picture) just likes to bumble along and a wee bit of swimming in the sea (he's 11 now so he can do whatever he likes). As for my Birthday it's the 25th

    Selkie_runner I love you doggie photo! I will not be around end of the month so hope you have a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!!!! Our girls (full blood JR) is 9. Our Beagle/JR mix is 10. I hate they are getting older as I know we will have shorter time together than we have had. I try not too dwell on that and live for the day...

    Today was Rain...walked a mile....More Rain...walked 2 miles....more rain....walked 3/4 of a mile..
    I couldn't seem too get much of a break from the rain today...!

    First weekend of spring. Bit of a bicycle ride on Saturday. :)

    We had everything out there ... cloud, lots of cloud, a few rays of sun, wind, rain ...

    This was a 'route checking' ride for an event we're hosting at the end of October. There will be a few changes ... but this is why we like to ride these things in advance.

    Hi. I'll try this out. I haven't been much of a daily walker though but I'll give it a shot anyway. I don't want to choose a alot of milage because I know I won't reach a bigger number, like most of you posted, so I will just settle with 50M.

    September 1st - 1.97M
    September 2nd - 2.42M
    September 3rd -

    Total so far - 4.39M
    Goal - 50M
    More to go - 45.61

    Likewise, I am not a walker either but would love to join this challenge as I know it will encourage me to keep moving. My goal will be 50 miles for the month. I have looked at the amount of miles a lot of posters do and I am in awe!!

    Well, now you're a bit ahead of me. Argh! Lol, I barely got to walk today, mainly depressed, stayed in bed. Tomorrow if I feel up to it, supposed to go shopping to several different stores & when I'm done, I will see how many steps & miles I have then, if not that high I might just try walking up & down the street or in place...:P I wanna hit this 50 miles!     Sorry you were feeling depressed - maybe going out for a little walk may have helped. There's always another day so don't beat yourself up about it. Going shopping will definitely clock up the steps/miles. What I sometimes do if I haven't walked enough, I will walk around the house several times until I hit a reasonable figure :-).

    Of course you can add me - looking forward to be each other's cheerleader!
