Oops, forgot this part:
If you've got a temp of 102, you're doing the fever and chills thing. You're sick. Drink lots and get lots of sleep.
On top of all this, my sinuses are acting up. So I took a decongestant. whenever I take a decongestant, I'm up until all hours of the night. I have feeling that I won't be exercising tomorrow

Off to Hove today, straight after an early lunch. DH has made some sort of protective box for the cake and we have non slip floor mats that we put on the floor of the trunk. Make sure nothing will fall on it and drive carefully! Hope it gets there in one piece!
Don't know if my ex will be there. He usually is. We get on well, but I am always aware he is there. Sometimes his wife comes, but she works in Scotland 4 days a week and gets very tired. The elder daughter often comes, but the boy has lots of sports on Saturdays. The only difference is I might have an extra glass of Prosecco.
This time I think Edie is having a few of her friends from nursery, so it might be a bit noisier than usual. Normally it's just relations.
Got to decide what to wear. The presence of my ex makes a difference. I am more self conscious. I will wear something comfortable, but cheerful, as I will be on granny duty. If the weather is ok we may sit outside, so an extra layer might be called for.
Michele - Get over your bug quickly! No fun! Sounds like some kind of flu.
Lots of love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxx
To the lady who looks after the grandchildren. I'm sure you get a significant burn as it is exhausting! I think of it as slow walking so might just add that in for a few hours. Unfortunately exercise is the most effective and good for you when your heart rate is significantly raised. That's when all the good repairing stuff kicks in. A good book is "Younger Next Year". Daily activity burns calories, but it doesn't repair the body. One good motivation to get fit is to find looking after the grandchildren easier!
Love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxx1 -
Made it to pg 52.
My flu came back even more violent than before. It's knocked my blood sugar all out of whack. Getting surprisingly low readings.
Off to Calgary in the morning for the bridal shower. DSIL and I have rented a hotel with a pool. We will keep the little girls while their Moms are at the bachelorette. Not sure yet what I'm wearing yet
Take care all

Dana, isn't that so infuriating! I try to pit a lot of thought into what I am posting to another person ans then cyber space steals it from me. So if anyone is interested in what I said, go search cyber space. I don't think google goes that far thoug.
If you've posted it, google can find it.

Happy Saturday. A beautiful day that I plan on enjoying with a walk, garden work and grilling something for al fresco dinner tonight! Happy autumn! My favorite season
Heather enjoy those happy grands. I agree with you about dressing for how you want to feel. It totally works, happy colors, or a perfect jacket gives you a boost of self confidence. When I was particularly depressed 15 years ago, I only wore jeans and a big denim work shirt----every day. Everyday. I hid in that outfit for about a year!!
Well, Going to go enjoy my second cup of coffee and then get out there!

Good morning Ladies!
Once again Jake the rescue dog who sleeps in on weekdays had me up at 4:45 am on one of the few mornings I can sleep in, so here I am.
The twice postponed first date finally happened Thursday evening and went well. We were glad we put in the extra effort to make it happen. We have a lot of similar tastes, he was a gentleman with a good sense of humor, interesting, intelligent and easy on the eyes. We will see where it goes from here but the most promising prospect in over a year. This may sound strange, but I liked that he actually wore nice shoes, no sneakers or sandals. He had the forethought to make a reservation at the restaurant I had suggested so we wouldn't have to wait for a table. I was surprised when he said I was smaller than he thought I would be based on my picture.
This evening I'm going with friends to a blues concert, other than that nothing more exciting than grocery shoping and laundry. Still battling to get those pounds off that I put on last weekend, 2.5 left to,lose. So easy on and so tough to get off.
Love and hugs to everyone.

Michelle, I hope you feel better soon. I often put "health" on my gratitude list to remind me to not take it for granted because feeling sick messes with all the things I want to do.
Sharon, best wishes for recovery to you.
Chris, glad to hear that you had a fun date
Joyce, It's time to start training yourself to watch TV or go for a walk when Charlie pushes your buttons rather than going to the store for chocolate.
Heather, I hope the party is a very satisfying event for you.
Dogs walked for an hour, breakfast eaten, meditation next and then more dog walking to get back and be showered and dressed to get an 8 AM phone call.

Well, I went to the MD. They can't do a blood test to determine if its a viral or not, not on the weekend. Which leads me to question: why even be open on the weekend if you can't determine what the problem is?
I did have a low grade fever. I sort-of talked her into prescribing Z-Max for me. Maybe it's viral, maybe it isn't. But let's do something. I DO NOT want to feel this crummy all day tomorrow. She wanted to prescribe Tamiflu. I don't think I've ever had it so I don't know what the reaction would be for my body
Today I didn't exercise. That's something for me. I just seem to be very run down now

Today was a less active day than we usually have on a weekend ...
Several reasons for that including bad weather again. Seems to be a trend on weekends lately to have a really icky Saturday and a mediocre Sunday ... and then maybe a beautiful Thursday when we're stuck working. Also health ... I've been battling a wicked headache for about 10 days now after a weird episode Tuesday morning, 10 days ago, that scared me enough to go to the Dr and I'm to be sent to a cardiac clinic for testing. I'm also on a program taking my BP twice a day. Anyway, by last evening the headache, or something, had left me feeling quite queasy. And when we got home today, I entertained ideas of getting on the trainer or going for a walk to the beach, but all I wanted to do was nap.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow!1 -

Well, ladies, my baby girl – the one who turned 36 yesterday – just finished a 30 kilometer race. That brings her total distance over the past 12 months up to 4005 km, just shy of 2500 miles.

Lisa: The bone scan was of my hip, femur & lower spine. My wrists & hands were not included. I haven't heard the results yet, although I saw the scan for myself. I'm not trained to interpret what I saw. My bone breaks were each wrist and one finger. The wrists were separate falls on unseen ice. The finger break was caused by getting a lunge line wrapped around my finger accidentally & then Arrow took off bucking. I haven't heard from my doctor so far. :ohwell:
Regarding phones: We each have an iphone 5S. AT&T says I can get a new one at "no cost." Haven't looked into it so far. DS and DDIL lease their phones and get a new one annually. I don't need to have the newest and best. :noway:
Joyce: Sending good thoughts for your sister. :flowerforyou:
Allie: "I think the closer it is time for me to move out, the more ornery Tom will get. Oh well To Bad So sad!!!" Is Tom likely to get violent? Are you staying safe?
Rori: Enjoy your air show! Stay safe during rush hour.
Machka: Happy Spring!
Everyone in the northern hemisphere: Happy Autumn!
Michele: Feel better soon! :flowerforyou:
Kate: Between us, we have an array of Apple products. I have a laptop and iphone. DH has a desktop, iphone, & ipad. The laptop and desktop were purchased new years ago and have had some memory upgrades done by our son. They're doing fine.
Penny: Congratulations to your daughter for her 4005 km of racing for the year. WOW!
Homeowners meeting at noon today in the town library conference room. I spent hours last night getting ready. I'm the association secretary.

Hi all. Thanks for your support. I appreciate it more than I can say. The story hit the newspaper too, but the big news of the day was that the University's athletic director was fired (which is MAJOR here) so we are hoping anyone who might have known was focused elsewhere. But I was just sick yesterday, a little better today.
Rori; when I find out where he is going for certain, I'll be sure to let you know. Thank you.
Well I need to catch up on some work since I missed Thursday and half of Friday (had trouble getting out of bed lol), so this is short. Take care, Meg from Omaha3 -
Edie in the Elsa costume we bought her. DDIL played LET IT GO and she did all the actions.

Hugs ladies, mentally handing out huge Mason jars full of homemade chicken noodle soup to the ones that need it!
Hoping for a call today from son. Him and other Nuk rates took a 1am flight to Charleston S. Carolina last night. Hoping he is able to sleep some, and buy a Tracfone to call us today. When he was able to, he texted us and husband on his computer, I on my Amazon fire, and him in a rec room all had a nice chat! He sounded proud! Hearing his voice will be such a treat today!
Up 2 lbs these last couple of days, but I have been a nervous wreck! Time to get back to business.
Well have a great day all!

I must say that I must be feeling a bit better. I am actually eating!
Vince went outside and raked the dirt by the plants we put in. I rested a bit and then went outside to hopefully help him, only he had most of the work already done. We decided where we want to put the plants that we dug up. Then I came in and took a nap. I just seem to get so worn out so easily. But I do feel better today than I did last night. While I was at the MD's she noticed an area on my leg that's red. Honestly, I never noticed it until she pointed it out. Right now it feels warm. She just told me to keep an eye on it. I guess it's not something she was real concerned about.
Thank you everyone for all your well wishes

Hi ladies: I have been reading but not posting. My mother is here visiting from CA for a month and my routine is not quite the same. I had a sad week last week. I lost my little red mare that is in the picture here. Jule apparently has been dealing with degenerative ligament disease for a while but since she was 27 years old and was not limping I did not question her slowing down and not moving as much. She became very lame after having her hooves trimmed and when I took her to the vet they did an ultrasound and found that her suspensory ligaments in both front legs were basically falling apart and unable to support her anymore without pain. She was laying down more and more so I made the decision to have her put down. My DD stayed home from work to go with me. I miss her a lot but believe she is in a place where she can gallop about again.
Janetr - Love all the ornaments. You must have lots of patience to do so many of them.
Rori - Hope the condo sale gets moving and you enjoy the air show.
Heather - The cake is awesome and the DGD looks happy.
Rye - I think you are doing great with the swimming. Just keep going and you will get there. So what if they have to wait for you. I used to swim quite a bit but since the sarcoidosis I have trouble breathing out under water. it makes swimming strokes with my face in the water much more difficult and energy consuming.
Lisa - I actually enjoy driving long distances especially by myself. I put on the music and sing while I drive. Take care.
Katla - Glad you are feeling well enough to go out and work with Arrow.
Lanette - I just got a smartphone this last year. Didn't really want one but it came with a new family package we are doing with my DSon. I find myself using it more and more as I get better at learning what it can do. We have a land line here in WA but never use it.
Michele and Sharon - Sending healing angels to both of you. hope you feel better soon.
Meg - Glad that part is over for you. Sending you strength as you continue to make adjustments.
Becca - Congrats to you, DH and especially Owain!! hope you hear from him soon.
I meditate some every day usually before bed but also at other times. I use guided meditations and just breathing. I also like walking meditations. It is awesome to use a labyrinth for this but I do it just walking around the living room too. The walking is great if you have trouble just sitting to meditate.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA
