9/21 156 UGH! Pizza for dinner at community bingo last night. I only ate the toppings off one slice of veggie and had taken a healthy salad from home. One SF adult beverage but overall maybe not enough fat or perhaps this is the salt.
9/22 156. I ate dinner too late! Almost 9 PM!! This afternoon I go to my retreat and will be without a scale until I get home late Sunday. I will have a lot of catching up to do! Next weigh in on Monday! AARRGGGHHH

9/24 RETREAT Going home this afternoon. This has been a fun, productive weekend. We'll see what the scale reveals tomorrow, I have had some junk but nothing like last year.
9/25 157.5 Up but not surprised. Had a great time at our mini-retreat. Over the weekend, the only things o should not have eaten were a half piece of Trash Treat and 3 hands full of popcorn. And unmeasured alcohol. Learned to make homemade noodles and Buckeyes. Had 3 dozen Buckeyes to bring home which my husband will take care of. I was not even tempted. My biggest problem was not drinking enough water. I think I will not have a problem recouping. I'm so glad to have spent time with these wonderful women but am equally glad to be back to this group.

I came down with a nasty sinus infection night before last. I always lose weight when I am sick (see R15 average weight above). I have been drinking a ton of water and expelled at least a pound of snot. Plus, no appetite, but I'm trying anyway. Hopefully something good will come of this and I won't gain all the weight back. But it's always doubtful with such an extreme loss, which is why I'm trying not to lose so much. -_-

Yay! I know my average weight won't be as low as Round 15 but if I can keep it below Round 16 that would be awesome! Ate under calorie limit and now that I am feeling a good bit better I went for a SHORT run last night.

Going to a soccer game tonight! I always give myself freedom to eat whatever I want on these nights because we get into downtown about 4 hours early to park, walk a couple of miles to dinner, then walk a couple of miles to the stadium, then walk a couple of miles to the car. That plus the fact that I don't drink makes it a lot easier to eat slightly less mindfully on those nights! Yum.

I'm starting to sense a trend here. Yesterday at the soccer game I ate a vegan hotdog (yum!) and a gourmet donut, and only went over calorie count by about 200. I'm good with that, although today I feel like I have a ball of food left in my stomach.

9/20 - 160.7 I tried Chefs Plate for the first time last night (promo rate) had Chicken Romanesco Bucatini. It was a lot of calories 870!! It was tasty and large I planned for it AND I lost some lbs.... Hmmm. Hit just over my step goal. I think I need to walk before dinner instead of after as it is getting darker and colder out!! Looking for some 5's now.
9/21 - 159.7 Here comes those 5's. Walked 12,400 steps, hit calorie goal. Still need to figure out an evening workout plan. Hope these 5's stick around for awhile.
9/22 - 160.4 Looks like 5's are a fighter. 13,982 steps hit calorie goal was under near the end of the night and had some protein, maybe I miss calculated. Or its just a bounce!! Happy Friday everyone. No real weekend plans yet I'm hoping the weather holds can have a nice walk and clean the house some!!
9/23 - 159.5. Looks like a nice sunny day here today. Gotta get active!!! Love the 5’s
9/24 ~ 158.4. Spent the day cleaning and organizing. Hit 13,000+ steps doing it. Set my 20 year old son up in the basement. Lol. Pushed for a high protein day and did ok. 5

9/25 - 158.8 Think my fitbit is broken. My unit said I was in the high teens when I last looked at it and my app now says just over 10 WTH?? Had a Whole Foods salad for dinner and estimated the calories at 700+ but last night I was so hungry had half bag of Lara balls and some chicken. I think I over estimated the salad.
ETA: Fitbit App just updated and it now says 19,874... Thats good don't feel so bad about the Lara balls.
9/26 - 158.1 Lowest weight in years!!! Years! (Down 65lbs) Picked up SO late last night so I'm gonna try and stay stable. He doesn't know how long he will be home and it could be a few weeks, which is fantastic..... BUT my calorie count may suffer. I'll see what I can do. Found out that our Grandaughter will be born on the 3rd, So excited. But she is breeched and daughter is distraught and upset/worried about a ceasarean.
9/27 - 157.4 Well this is a great number, but I'm not sure why. 13,642 steps, Calories @ 1400. I've been pretty much maintaining for the last 4-6 weeks so maybe the cut is whoosing? Don't like the idea of losing too fast but I don't feel overly hungry. See how it goes. Don't get me wrong I love being here!!

9/26 - 179.2 We had a birthday celebration Saturday and big brunch on Sunday. I went for a 5 mile hike to earn calories for Saturday and still came in at a deficit. Sunday I didn't track. I drank a lot of champagne.
My mother was there. Lol
9/27 - 179 Calories have been on track the last 2 days but I'm not drinking enough water. I've pre logged my food for today.
9/28 - 180 This number is so discouraging for me, but my day got totally derailed when I realized I was expected at a community food/wine event last night. I've logged it, and my calories weren't too bad (still at a slight deficit over what I burned, and I moved very little yesterday) but the sodium... oy. So I'm hoping it will drop. I've got a slight cold, too, which is weird. I never get sick. I don't feel too bad, I think it's a sign to take better care of myself. Is it possible to plateau before making progress? 6 -

Broke two personal records at the gym yesterday! I'm likely be able to finish my first 5k in under 30 minutes at this rate! That's coming up a week from Saturday; I've gotta keep training...but again, it's one of those days where it's more convenient to go to the gym than not to go. I love how that works out.
Today is also grocery day, and I'm looking forward to getting more good ingredients for school lunches.
Friends are encouraging me to get an all white outfit for my upcoming obstacle course races. The more I think about it, the more I totally want to do it.
Also thinking about getting myself a good fitness tracker in the near future, if and when I can afford it. I've been demonstrating to myself that I can actually get some good use out of it, so why not?

Love this challenge and this group for accountability. Weighing every day has been an important factor in my success so far!
SW - March 2017 - 182.4lbs
GW - 145 - it was 150 initially but I smashed that last week and I don't feel like I'm done. I'm happy with where I am but I've got some pooch left and I think having a maintenance range of 145-149 would be ideal...so I'm going to slowly chip away at the last few pounds and work on my fitness.

I'm feeling puffy from the heat, and didn't get out for my regular run with the dog yesterday because it was afternoon by the time we got back from the boys hockey and both the dog and I would have melted into a puddle in the woods had we attempted it. 9/21 - 193.1 Had a good day yesterday. Let's keep it up. Really had to work to get 10K steps recorded; I went to work with my fitbit left behind on the bathroom windowsill.
9/22 - 191.6 I love the woosh. And jogging. And rotisserie chicken with asparagus after jogging. Feeling a little giddy obviously. Hope the rest of YOUR day goes as well as my weigh in!
9/23 - 191.8 This is a totally good number. Let's see the number tomorrow. I just ate lunch at Panera with some girlfriends and had a lovely time. Counted everything, but I have no idea how much sodium is in the food. I seem to be sodium sensitive in relation to fluid retention.

Office day yesterday with a nice lunch break. Had a lovely T-bone last night and I limited myself to only 4 ounces. Gave the dog my fat trim. Now I have lots of delicious leftovers available. back in the office today. No days off this week for me.

My weight is actually down 1.2 lb to 151.6, but the moving average takes longer to move, of course. But yay! I'm eating lots of protein and fat, cut back on carbs, lots of water, and walking. I'd really like to finish the round at least where I started, if not lower!

I got tired of seeing that elevated average :-). So paying attention is paying off and I seem to be moving in the right direction. Yay! Now that the weather is a bit cooler, I'm going to start running again (actually "wrunning" - walk/run intervals). I don't generally go long distance (although I did a 10K last winter), but feel better if I do about 20 min of running 3-4 times a week.

9/20 125.8 -weight crept back up after last weeks several day low at the 122s. I did kickboxing last night. Went over calories by 200 calories.
9/21 127.3 - very frustrated. I did a legs day and a whole body workout yesterday. I was over calories due to the holiday, but not 2 lbs worth. Not sure why my weight keeps creeping up despite increased workouts and watching my calorie intake.
9/22 125.1 - weight went down a bit. Ate within calories. Did a HIIT class and kickboxing.
9/23. 126.3. Urggggghh. I did a whole body interval class and kickboxing class. Ate within calories. I would be ok with no loss, but the gains are frustrating me. I'm already at 1200 calorie intake.
9/24 124.8 Did 2 back to back kickboxing classes yesterday. Ate within calories,

This is the result of another church function! Had an appreciation dinner after church - pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, chips, cake, cookies! Drank water and didn't eat any bread, but went home and ate green beans with potatoes seasoned with salt pork! Went waaaay over on calories and salt! I've got 4 days to get this right!

Still holding on to water weight from my sodium overload! Too much salt is not good for my blood pressure or my heart. Didn't drink much water yesterday; just didn't feel like drinking anything, but I forced myself to drink about six glasses!

Got rid of all of the water weight from Sunday ; now, for the rest of the story! Didn't sleep at all last night; could be because of the iced coffee I drank around 4 o'clock! Didn't go to exercise this morning or to BSF because I didn't sleep, and I felt awful! Got to stay hydrated today, and watch the sodium! Maybe I'll talk myself into doing one of my walking dvds-I've only used it once, and I've had it over five months! Tomorrow I've got another small group meeting at a restaurant! Problems, problems, problems! Oh well, I'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here ! Be blessed all!

9/27 - 73kg (160.9) - damage from holidays not as bad as I feared. Back to 5:2 (or starvation day as I call it) today.
9/28 - 71.8kg (158.3) - meant to be my 2nd starvation day for the week but ended up at a work lunch. Still under daily calories, just need to even out the weekly total.
9/29 - 71.7kg (158.1) - I really can’t complain after my holidays but I’d love to be out of the 70s again for good and back to reaching my goal6 -

9/26: 159.6 This is 3 lbs less than this time last week. Huge accomplishment! A bit over sodium last night (and fat and carbs!) so maybe there will be a loss tomorrow. I'll take anything in the 150s please.
9/27: 160.2 Dear 150s, where did you go? We were just getting aquainted. What did I do to scare you off? Was it the cheeseburger on Monday night? I was still at 1300 calories for the day and sodium under 2,700. Yes, it's more than usual, but not over a half pounds' worth. Whatever it is that drove you away, come back. We can work it out. 2. Log ALL my intake (would be good if it stays less than MFP's calories goal, but if not, then not more than 200cal excess)

9/20 - 187.4 -- so another round begins. I made peace with myself last round regarding those pasta that I mindlessly ate and now I'm back to my usual eating. Setting alarm for water as well since I've noticed that I only consume around 1L when work is hectic.
9/21 - 186.9 -- wonderful loss; slowly but steady. Feeling good also since I was able to drink more water. Also added plain green tea in my drinks list, it tastes weird when unsweetened but I think this is better. I wanna tame my tongue and stop craving for sweets. Stayed within calorie goal but over carb.
9/22 - 186.7 -- good record considering what I did yesterday. Well, I was able to exercise, however I ate too many carbs and too little protein. I ate way more than my caloric goal... like I overate bigtime. The culprit -- BREAD! Before I became mindful of what I ate, I have this habit of trying any 'new' food that I see. And here in my place, there's a lot of varieties of bread and pastries that I never encountered before. To cut the story short, my colleague brought with her a freshly baked stuffed bread with stuffing I've never seen before, soem sort of green powder mixed with feta cheese, I think. And it smelled so good and tasted good, the supposed one bite became 4 pieces of it, one piece the size of half my fist. Then I snapped out of it, asked the ingredients she used, and felt like crying. Need to behave big time!
9/23 - 185.6 -- Looked like behaving well yesterday did the trick, apparently. Was able to accomplish my exercise goal again and finally hit my protein goal. A friend of mine just came back from vacation and his greeting when he finally saw me was, "What happened to you? Aren't you eating? You lost weight!!!" and I was like thinking, "really? I don't even see the difference in the mirror..." but well, I was really happy.
9/24 - 185.4 -- yesterday was a repeat of 09/20: too many carbs and too little protein. Though I'm glad that it didn't affect my weight, I know that I should correct this or this will become a big problem. Any suggestion on how to avoid overeating carbs?
9/25 - 184.9 -- woohoo!!! still doing good! Exercise done! Complete log done! I finally lowered by carbs intake (though still over) and hit my protein goal! Hopefully, I can keep this rate and finally be able to consistently hit my macros goals.
9/26 - 185.6 -- water retention. Had a tasty yet salty noodle dish last night. I knew I shouldn't even have had it, but it's a dish I haven't have for years, so I indulged in a cup and half of sinful goodness... Moving on!!!
9/27 - 183.9 -- back on track! Got my macros in good numbers as well. Definitely feeling great!

9/19- 154.44 Does walking Costco count as exercise? lol Kept to our grocery list and avoided buying a pizza for dinner, even though it was calling me the entire time. Came home and found a salmon patty instead with salad and a few sweet potato fries. Didn't follow my plan, but made positive choices.
9/20- 154.22 Managed to get in a mile walk before it started to rain. Feeling determined to reach my goal this round.
9/21- 155.32 Absolutely no reason for this gain. Eating below calories, getting exercise in, and drinking plenty of water. Hopefully this is only temporary. (my hair was damp when I weighed today, so that might be a small part of this)
9/22- 154.44 Glad the weight is back down. That Costco pizza was still on my mind today, but no one answered when we called to order ahead, so we ended up eating leftovers. Thank you Costco. You saved me a bunch of calories. lol Tomorrow we are doing a university tour with my son so there will be lots of walking.
9/23- 154.44 Seems like my body is happy at this weight, but I am not. I did tons of walking today to the point my feet and legs ache. Lots of hills and staircases. My plan is to take it easy tomorrow and perhaps work in my garden if the weather cooperates.
9/24- 153.78 Hopefully optimistic this weight will stick (or drop). I'm less sore than I expected, but still took a day off. Need to do meal planning for next week.
9/25- 153.12 If this number is true, I have now lost 10 lbs since starting. I've really worked hard and stuck to my calories each day (with the exception of one day I'm not 100% sure of). I have more to go, but this success has me on a high.
9/26-152.68 I have a chest infection and have slept the majority of the day.
9/27- No weigh in today. I have no hot water and the boiler piece is going to take a few days to get. On top of that, my oven died this morning. I will be without for probably the next week and a half. We ate fast food for dinner, and I'm ok with that. It fell within my calories (barely). Tomorrow is a new day and I will utilize my crock-pot the best I can. I just hope I can come up with some low calorie ideas for it.
9/28- 153.12 At little up today, but I guess I'll take it. Went on a 1.3 mile walk and stayed under calories.

I hope the scale's not just toying with me again and this loss stays around. Got some exercise today, no added sugars, plenty of water, actually ate a little low, even with a piece of leftover pizza. Maybe a bit too much salt.

No added sugars, good on water, good on calories but I left too many calories til the end of the day so I am overfull after a big dinner. Only incidental exercise. Today's my "Friday" and for the last five days I've resisted all kinds of desserts in the work lunch room, they seemed to multiply this week.
9/25: 175.5. What? Sigh. FML
Well, today I took a hike, ate under my calories. I had some fruit in a restaurant that I could tell were canned in syrup so I did have added sugar. Need to drink more water before the end of the day.
9/26: 174.5
I got lab tests back and my glucose (83) and cholesterol (176) are at an all-time low! [My cholesterol was 237 last year and fasting glucose is usually in high 90s.] I still need to raise my "good" chol a little but my changes have really made a difference. However, my iron is super low, which explains a lot, though not really a surprise. I think it's impacting my fat burning and definitely my energy.
Anyway, today's not over but I'm on track for plenty of water, no added sugar, eating below calories, and I plan to go for a run around 7pm.
9/27: 173.5..... A cautious hooray. Don't break my heart, please don't go back up.
I did OK on calories today, no added sugar, good on water, jogged my mile. Did I mention I can now JOG ONE MILE? Like jogging the whole way, even if it's slow. It's a big deal in my world.

9/20: 157/Getting closer to my lowest weight from the last round (156.2). I fit the catered Chipotle I had at work yesterday into my calories. I now make it a habit to ask what we will be eating on late nights so I can plan it into my calories so I don't have to bring my own food while everyone else is eating catered food. This is now two days in a row that I didn't go to the gym. I was so exhausted. I have to go tomorrow!
9/21: 156.8/Continuing the downward trend, though it's going very slowly. I have today and tomorrow off so hopefully I can stay on track...it's harder on non-work days!
9/22: 156.4/This is still higher than my lowest weight in R16 (156.2). I feel so impatient but I'm going to keep chugging along. I can't wait to see 155.xx. Ate out for lunch and dinner but relatively healthy and within calories. Did weights and circuit training exercises. Off to go swimming now.
9/23: 155.8/Cautiously optimistic! Fearing the uptick! Nevertheless, it was thrilling to see 155.x! I'm now less than a pound away (154.9) from entering the healthy BMI range! Biked to the pool yesterday and swam laps. Ate under calories so I can save them for later.
9/24: 155.6/Ate back all my exercise calories yesterday, which I usually don't do...including 3 glasses of wine. Had a thing in midtown last night and walked halfway and biked the other halfway home instead of taking the subway! I love these bike share programs!
9/25: 155.4/Good day today. Went to the gym. Mostly did weights. A couple of unpredictable days coming up. Really struggling with water intake.
9/26: 155.2/Slow and steady it seems. 0.4 lbs away from being in the normal BMI range for the first time in my adult life! Ate back exercise calories, so slightly under calorie goal (including exercise). My muscles ache from the lifting! Worried about my sushi dinner tomorrow. It's definitely a weakness of mine.
9/27: 154.2
/Wow! This is an insane drop. Might go back up but for now...I've hit the normal BMI range!!!! Had my sushi today (delicious!) and I think it's within my calories (based on estimates, not measurements). Couldn't get any workout in today but played some casual badminton with my students.
9/28: 154.2/This number didn't go back up! Ate under calories today but no exercise. Feeling major bloating right now from TOM, which started today. I'll see if this affects the scale tomorrow. Need to drink more water, like always .

9/28 -101.0kg im in the few days before that time of month and i must say my hunger increases and this month ive really struggled saying no to those cravings. It sucks because i really wanted to get under that 100kg mark and i have sabotaged myself these last few days. I havent made the healthiest choices today but i am under calorie goal so we will see how the scales are. Last month i put on 0.8kg the day before i was due which is just crazy.
