Starting on September 20 - September 29, JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 17! Lets see what more we can do as we reach a total of 170 days consecutively!

Let's give it our best 10 days ever! The weather is cooling in many parts of the world, Autumn is upon us. The children are back in school, harvest season has blessed us with wonderful inexpensive vegetables. Prayers to all in the hurricane belt, I'll be thinking and sending prayers and good thoughts.

I'm in again! This time around I'm going to tweak my macros a bit, cutting back on carbs (grains). I'm also going to use my moving average rather than daily weight this time around. Still aiming for ~1830 calories. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone!

A birthday in the middle of the last round meant a bounce up which had to be worked off. However, there will be many events like that along the way, but they merely delay the achievement of our weight loss goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It took many years to put on the weight I gained, but it is coming off, bit by stubborn bit. The game continues!
I HAVE the power and determination to do this.A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:Round 16: (Target: 160) Highest, 162.4; lowest, 160.2; Mean, 161.3 It's slow, but I am very happy with the downward trend.- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

My third round.
I'm really struggling with these last few kilos and I'm starting to think there might be some truth in that it's harder when you're in your forties. The daily weigh-in helps a lot, even though I curse this thread when I fancy that treat in the evening...
