171.6 is my start weight. I have stalled out. I'm not frustrated yet, but I'm sure the day will come when I am. I've reached a smaller, attainable goal that my doctor set of a 20 pound loss, but I decided to keep pushing myself until I reach my ideal weight. I've lost 31 lbs so far. I want to lose 80! I CAN AND WILL DO THIS!
10/20 no scale---(in KY for a 1-day trip...went to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular in Louisville with my husband and our 3 children.) I went on a binge last night because I was told in order to get your body going again, BINGE. My weight will go up for 2 or 3 days, then boom. Let's see if it works!
10/21 No scale except the one in the hotel that's 30lbs lower than it should be. Sooo not counting it. Lol We are in Ohio now. We went to Jungle Jim's yesterday, and I did BINGE again.
10/22 173.2 and we are back home. I know its a big jump, but I honestly have no regrets. I've been on a strict regimen for about 5 months now. I deserved to treat myself when doing something I hadn't done in 20 or so years...ride roller coasters. We went to Kings Island yesterday, and I put in almost 17g steps. Now that I'm back home, it's back to the grind and shedding these lbs.

First timer here! New to myfitness as well. I have been on a weight roller coaster this year, and hate the way I look now. 10 years ago I was 169lbs, hated it, got energized, found a plan that worked and stuck to it (mostly). I was able to get my weight down to 135lbs (give or take a couple of pounds). This year has been tough with lots of family and work stress. No motivation, then I do, then I don't. My current weight is 157 lbs. My goal is to get back to where I was happy and to fit those clothes again. I will settle for 140lbs.

10/20 - 214.3lbs - a better start than I was expecting, to be honest! I ate mostly well and was under my daily count by 240calories, but I had some bread last night with the stew my dad made when he came to visit and was worried my body might not have loved that. I'm happy to be at 214lbs, since that was my pre-pregnancy weight! My son is 11 months old but it's been a journey to shed that weight!
10/21 - 214.6lbs - Okay, I'm not really surprised by this. With my dad visiting for a few dats, we tend to eat out more than usual. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and a few bites of fried mushrooms that the table got for an appetizer. That's okay though. I just have to try to be more consistent.
10/22 - 213.2lbs - I'm so thrilled to see this. My whole issue with health has been bad decision making. Before, I'd be motivated for a short periods of time and then I'd get bored and eat my emotions by getting a box of some cheese snack mix. But I'm really trying to focus in on my decision making and yesterday at lunch tested that. My dad wanted to go to a wings place where everything on the menu is high in calories. Even their salads were 1000+ calories. But I didn't just get whatever I wanted. I studied the menu and added calories to make a better choice. And it paid off.

Oo oo!! Love to meander Jungle Jim's! For those who don't know, it calls itself the world's largest grocery store. Imagine a place that basically has a whole room of different hot sauces! I had to push myself to hit the gym, it did pay off in the scale, yay! Another pound off, I'm trying to lose the 5 pounds I gained from vacation,
8/28 148.8 ~ Yesterday, since I didn't get ANY exercise in plus my sodium was high, I have a gain. I didn't over eat though so my gain is only a pound. Yesterday's, was a success in my books!
8/29 148.3 ~ (Steps18,169) Miles 7 ~ I was hungry the whole day but was able to stick to my dairy, keeping my sodium low. I decided to try getting a workout before getting breakfast. Last night I had to alter my menu since my husband got off late from work. On the plus side a couple workouts during the day helped.
8/30 147.9 ~ (Steps 19,101 Miles 7.7) ~ Yesterday went well with goals, I was able to get a couple workouts at the gym. I switching up though, having my protein drink after my first workout. I need to focus on more fruits for snacks, after vacation, I'm having trouble incorporating them into my diet.

Hi awesome peeps! This challenge helps me feel like I'm not alone in the struggle.. great to see the big picture. Although my scale was not stellar the last two rounds, I'm hoping for a stronger trend this round.

I take it you are quitting soda. Does that mean you've also inadvertently cut way back on caffeine? That would explain the headache. Drinking iced tea may help ease you into it. I use the easy method of making the iced tea. I just put teabags in cold water and throw it in the fridge. In a couple hours, it's iced tea.2 -
I was having trouble staying down around 1500 calories as my activity naturally increases as I weigh less so I have set my calories back at the more comfortable level of 1550, which is closer to the TDEE of a lightly active woman of my age at goal weight. Arguably, if I keep being more active I will continue to lose weight until I am approaching a normal BMI.
Also, since I already gained from traveling and it’s getting colder where the scale is, I’m biting the bullet and weighing in jeans & t-shirt rather than my birthday suit.

0/21 262.4 -- Down another couple pounds of water. That’s how many of those “loss 10 pounds in the first week” diets do it. They assume their diet will greatly reduce your sodium intake along with the calorie reductions.

10/21 179.2 - calories were below maintenance, but I didn't get any exercise yesterday. We're seeing Hamilton today! Plus dinner out. I'll be mindful if my choices.
10/22 178.6 I ate well and stayed within calories. Also exercised yesterday, did a good cardio workout.

@HeidiCooksSupper yes, it is caffeine. I don't drink coffee so that is why it is so hard to give up soda. I am substituting tea but also have to take aspirin for a few days. Thanks for the tip!5

The plan: Drink lots of water, move more, stay within total calorie target of 13,000 for the 10 days. This last one might seem straight forward but usually I don't log everything on days I go over. I think this approach will give me a better sense of balance in my calorie 'budget' over a sustained period.

10/20 - 65.8kg - Ate at maintenance yesterday and needed a heavier carb day but am happy to see the bump up was quite small. I still don't trust that I'm in the 65s! Girls night tonight so expecting to be up tomorrow!

10/22 - 66.6kg - it's been a mental weekend. Working til 11pm both nights. Not a spare second to myself. Need to go grocery shopping and make some time for some exercise tomorrow. Hoping it's mostly water weight and I will still make goal weight this round.

10/20 -156.5 *Wow not bad for dinner at Mom's and a lack of walking (less than 8000 steps ) Ate extra dessert too. Back at it today and a big push this weekend for hitting tons of steps. Happy weekend everyone!!
10/21 ~ 156.8. Almost hit steps but did go swimming with grandson, so? Was super hungry after swimming and had too many treats that’s were hanging around the kitchen/fridge. SO is on his way home, new plan is to stay somewhat stable. So hard as we will be visiting and having dinners with everyone etc. Rain rain rain must try and get those steps in. Maybe find some mud boots and gear and hit up a corn maze. Hmmmm hope everyone likes my plan with secret step goal built in. Have a great Saturday!
10/22 - 158.7. Too much sitting, chatting and sodium. Plus over calories. See what happens Monday morning as the weather is still horrible. I need to go outside!!

Let's give it our best 10 days ever! Halloween is coming up soon and those treats will be additional temptation during this time. Followed quickly by Thanksgiving (US) and Christmas. This will be a trying time for a lot of us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this. Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!

HI there, I have just logged onto the site and love the idea of a 10 day challenge to keep me accountable.
My SW is 153
My goal weight is 150lbs in 10 days and moving towards
145 lbs
I will need to drink up to 2l water or more per day
1 hour walk per day
Move dinner to 6.30 and
Stop snacking after dinner (my big downfall)

End of Round 15: 143.3 (9/10/17- I quit weighing/logging toward the end of Round 15. I felt like I needed a break, and the break pushed my weight up so much. I'm sure I can get it back down (hopefully not actual fat gain in just a few days) with a lot of effort this round.)

I find it very interesting that not counting calories did not have a big effect on my weight, but eating more "junk" and more food did make me feel less healthy. I am going to give this a try again, mostly because I have a big fear of gaining the 50ish pounds back overnight.

Last round again reinforced to me how important it is to not stress out over temporary daily upward fluctuations. For this round I will continue working on my hydration and stretching.

10/20--222.6 Normal fluctuation either due to the 2 handfuls of mini peppermint patties I had yesterday, even though I had already eaten my calories for the day, or water retention from finishing up another day of C25K that I completed in the rain last night. Either way, I'll take it.
10/21--222.2 Finished W2D3 of C25k and stretched. Going out for afternoon tea today. Working on staying hydrated today.
10/22--222.4 Very surprised about the small increase after all the food I ate at tea, maybe all the tea I drank helped. Going out for tennis lessons and then out for lunch with the in-laws, so weight will probably be up tomorrow.
