I am so not ready to let go of my son. He is 17, going trick N treating tonight with friends, heads to college next summer. Worried about him being out without me there! I know I need to let go and let him live and make his own decisions.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Europe

According to the Fitbit, we walked 119 miles in 14 days.

We ate like gladiators..... I lost 5 lbs. ( I reckon there's a first time for everything)

The toughest part of being a parent is letting your kids make their own (stupid) decisions. Its also important to let them deal with the consequences without bailing them out.

Practice saying: "Bummer, figure it out.. okay?" It's how they learn.

    btw: He'll be fine

Why is it called a W (double-U) when it clearly looks more like a double-V?

I'm probably going to eat more than my share of these chocolate chip pumpkin cookies I'm about to pull out of the oven.
Cookies and candy. Dinner of champions.

in cursive it looks like a u

In Classical Latin, the /w/ sound was represented by the letter “v”. ... To distinguish the sound of “w” from either “v” or the up and coming “u”, a double form of “u” was taken to represent the original Classical Latin “v”, written as 'uu.' Compound letters used to represent a phoneme are called a digraph.

    c'mon now, everybody knows that

I hear that the term "friend-zoned" is a misogynistic term, but I heard it on a video game so I can't vouch for the validity of that statement. Almost makes sense, but not quite.

I wonder when the last time a ski mask was actually used for skiing and not to commit a crime.

Is this about Lord of the Rings? I agree the movies are a bit long but I enjoyed them.

    you didn't waste 12 years.

those years made you more resilient, insightful & cynical.....all useful tools to possess.

Hmmm, yeah that sounds about right. It sort of has turned me into a cynical a##hole.

I was just going to sell mine, but this idea sounds oddly appealing

what's a small gold ring worth? no idea.... then you need someone to buy it, right?
