Alright, back to bike pics. My mountain bike is an older Cannondale Trail SL2, 26-incher. I just realized that I don't have any good pics of my mountain bike, this is the best I could find:
My road bike is a Chinese carbon frame that I built up myself. "Cerberus" is a made-up brand that I came up with because IMHO an unpainted frame looks unfinished. Bonus points to anyone who can figure out the inspiration for the paint job.

Can I be happy in a road saddle with almost no padding? Fabric ALM. I can get it on sale, it looks really cool, would look great in photos. I know the shape is right because I've had another of their saddles. When I camp, I sit on rocks, so how bad could an unpadded saddle be?1
-
Can you? Sure. Will you? Who knows.
I run a minimal saddle on my tri bike and do OK with it. I do prefer a bit of padding to lots/none, but I think it's more the aggressive position of my tri bike that makes it uncomfortable over longer courses than does the lack of padding.
I think if the shape is correct, then you can adjust to the amount of padding. If the shape is wrong, it's hard to get past that.1 -
Maybe I should get a cheap no padding saddle from Amazon and test the concept out before committing to a nice one.0

I agree ... it does come down to saddle shape.

Beautiful! How many times do people start talking to you about the "Cerberus" brand like "Oh hey, I was looking at one of those, but I decided to go with a Trek!"0 -
I have seen cycle brands on this thread that I do not even know about. Here in Namibia we just have certain brands and not that much of a variety.0

Doing a road race on Sunday.4 laps which is 54km in total. And there is one huge hill at the end of each lap. Do you have any races coming up? Tell us about it.0

Kind of bored of road cycling at the moment. I'll get back into it again, no doubt! I ride a TCR Composite 2011.
Just miles and miles of this....erggh.
MTB on the other hand, that's pure adrenaline..
My steed, Scott Spark 745. It's so comfy, and with a lockout on the fork and rear shock and can even drop some roadies! Only weighs around 13kg.

Cannondale - for inside, I just ride one of the stationaries at the gym.
2 -
Giant Contend 3 for inside and outside.

54 km seems like a really good distance--and on the road, too! I had to cut back on my running (was doing half marathons) because of my ACL injury (plus the surgeon identified some arthritis on x-ray/MRI) so I am getting back into riding more than I was. I did a sprint triathlon this fall (1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 5k run) and did really well on the cycling portion--I think I might like to do more cycling races to keep myself busy. Cyclocross seems a little too rough and tumble for me still, and a gran fondo just seems too long...
I am a fair-weather cyclist though--my outdoor season is just about done--I prefer to ski in the winter time.1 -
Distance Bike: Trek 1.1 with half frame bag, solar panel and battery, handlebar bag, MKS pedals, and, of course, the obligatory Brooks B17.
Fitness/fun/grab and go bike: Trek 7.4 with hydraulic discs.
Daily commuter: Trek 8.3 DS Gary Fischer edition, with 48V Lifepo4 e-bike kit installed.

My cycling cuts back a lot in winter. I'd rather be skiing, but I can only do that on weekends. I'll ride after work if it isn't raining or blistering cold. But much less now.0 -

I've had a few people ask about the "brand", but I'm too honest. I should make up a back story and see how far I can go with it. "Cerberus? Yeah, they're a small, Canadian builder, founded by three ex-Cervelo engineers..."0 -

We have a lot of out door time. Our winter is from may/june until September at the latest. But it is still not that cold to ride outside. It rarely goes under 0 degrees. That is an advantage. But in the summer,it gets really hot again.Doing a road race on Sunday.4 laps which is 54km in total. And there is one huge hill at the end of each lap. Do you have any races coming up? Tell us about it.

No races ... just ongoing long distance rides.
We were supposed to be doing one this coming weekend but had to put it back a week because a simple tooth extraction turned into a complicated and difficult surgical extraction. We'll wait to do a long ride until I get the stitches out and can eat food again!

Canadian flag?
Actually, it's Senna-era McLaren F1 car. The red is the same Pantone code as Marlboro red, and the name is written in the same font, albeit stretched horizontally to better fit the shape of the downtube. The main "tell" is the barcode stripes on the top tube. In the early 90's, when the first European countries started banning tobacco advertising, they used the barcode logo to replace the Marlboro name at races in those nations:

Scott, aka Raven. Although I must admit its fun to say I ride Scott.

Oooh...bike porn...lol! I always joke with a friend of mine who likes to take pics of her bike while we are out on the trails. I just recently got back into biking. I had a road bike in high school and loved it. I bought a mountain bike in college and did some trails but nothing serious. I had a hardtail I bought a couple years ago and started going on some trail rides the local bike shop guides and got totally hooked again. I only did trails this summer and now we do some night time winter rides which are fun. I have a half a pic of my bike...lol. It's a Specialized Rhyme Mid Fattie (not carbon ). I should have bought the carbon but I bought my son a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR at the same time so I'm majorly bike poor!
Thinking about either a fat bike or maybe a Specialized Diverge for road/gravel.

Geez, I gotta take some pictures! My bike is a Nishiki Kodiak! I've owned it for 25+ years, and while it's heavy, I wouldn't part with it. I've ridden it countless miles near the city of Gunsan and later, near Clovis, New Mexico. My new slicks are out for delivery as I type this.3

This summer I got myself a Waterford road bike and it was build to fit my long legs and short torso. It is very comfy, more upright for my aging neck. I am so happy with it. It looks something like this, baby blue. I love it,
got some thicker tires, it rides beautifully.

Squeeeee another Waterford! Mine is second hand, but built for a fellow shorty. I've been riding it as much as possible before the snow comes.
