For the last month, many of us were on the November thread for this topic. The goal for me is to decrease alcohol consumption; your goal may be different. Thread is for sharing thoughts and ideas.

Thanks for posting a December thread. It helped me knowing I was going to have to be accountable to keep myself in check in November.
For me, my goal** is going to be to average 1 drink or less a day, with no more than 2 drinks in any given day.
(**Well, maybe except for when I go to my mom's at CHRISTmas, when all bets are off during those days of survival...I need lots of grace (and sometimes alcohol) when I go to her place, but it will all settle out as I typically do a dry January.)8 -
In again this month. Goal will be the same as last month. Similar to @b3achy, my goal is to average one or less drinks per day with no day being over 3 drinks.
Funny you say that about your mom's house. That is where I lost it in November. LOL8 -
Hi all! This is intriguing to me, so I am going to follow the thread...maybe join next month!3

This sounds like exactly what I need!6

I'm in. Formerly daily drinker but was totally dry yesterday. I look forward to being more active with my health and interacting with others who have similar goals.10

Keep on keep'n on!
3 glasses of pinot noir last night but not out of control. Would have been better to stop at 2, but a big improvement over the same social event in October. Feeling more positive about having reasonable control and still enjoying good wine.
I may have a tougher problem with Scotch and Cognac when imbibing with old friends! But just moving forward with wine will be a huge improvement.10 -
I would like to join. I find my alcohol use increases dramatically during the holidays with all the family, work, etc parties. I can only take so much family togetherness. LOL
My goal is to eliminate weekday after-work drinks and limit myself to two or three glasses of wine on the weekend. Starting today.6 -
B-day party last night. I did pretty well. 2 vodka drinks at the party and a Manhattan at the cocktail lounge we went to afterwards. My goal was to be able to keep track of my food and beverage consumption, which I did so I guess that's a success.6

Well, day 1 of December and I really screwed up. Went out with friends. Drank way too much. Regretting it today. But life is all about second chances and forgiving yourself. Today , I"ll start fresh. Xoxo5

Went over my 3 last night just relaxing on a Friday night. I did well for me, I guess, because a normal Friday evening after-the-work-week-is-over celebration usually involves more drinks than that.

Count me in. I found the November challenge very helpful.....4

Did good last night, but was at a church group gathering (pot luck holiday party). Today, needed the carbs after all the exercise I did, and since I have a paddle tomorrow...(so 1 light beer, and a skinny cosmo (with only 1.5 oz of alcohol and stretching it with seltzer water)).
1 Dec: None
2 Dec: 2 drinks3 -
I’d like to join as well please. Wine can be my downfall. I know December is crazy socially so realistically it won’t be as dry as it could be. I’m keen to cut down, not drink in the week & be much more careful at weekends. Come January I think I’ll have a few weeks off completely & reintroduce as a treat.3

No alcohol yesterday - felt so awful from Friday night's festivities. Will plan on no alcohol til next Friday. Will also try to stay under my calories count all week.7

Believe it or not, this is really good for me for a weekend but I’m working towards lowering these numbers.3 -
Driving hubby to a Thai meal tomorrow and will not be drinking. Yesterday was a bit naughty as champagne was involved but I had been quite good during the week.2

Back in line, no alcohol today.6

I'm in! I am generally under my calories for the day when I add my food but, once I add alcohol I blow it. My goal is no weekday alcohol and moderation on the weekends. Good luck everyone!5

already started this yesterday....I love my wine and having way too much daily for quite awhile. So I am in to this challenge...and so so needed. I mixed my white wine yesterday with diet gingerale and a lime twist....able to cut down quite a bit. Have a way to go...I have been drinking about 4-6 glasses a day, starting at noon at times, so this is all day long, sipping. I also have diet soda mixed with water in a big water bottle that I sip on throughout the day. I switched to mostly white wine with added ice to start and now I am working on the added diet soda. I know that my weigh gain has been from drinking wine and really need to cut down for health reasons....I am committed...Thank you anyone for support.10

I do the SAME thing!2 -
After doing so well on Friday night, I didn't fare so well on Saturday. My husband was outside putting up Christmas lights and we had a brisket in the smoker, which pretty much serves as an open invitation for anyone in the neighborhood to stop by. So it ended up being one of those days where I poured a glass of wine around 3PM and ended up going to bed after midnight having completely lost track of whatever I ate or drank. Those are the days that I am trying to avoid! I did manage out make it out yesterday for an 8 mile run, so it couldn't have been that bad, but it still leaves me feeling disappointed with myself. No alcohol yesterday, but today we are going to the Steelers/Bengals game. Heading down early to tailgate. Will try my best to keep it in control.4

Blew it yesterday - weekends are tough! Going for none today so I can eat all of my calories.3

I plan on going out of town again next weekend so I'm gonna try to let that be one of the few times I drink this month. Even then I want to set a limit for myself. I need to put a cap on it around drink 4.4

Gonna follow this thread and maybe join in after the holidays.3

I'm in too! tonight I will also start the 30 day shred and see how it goes. Anyone else doing it, I would like to have a "buddy" but I might need to be on a new thread for that? I looked but found this one and I need to cut out my daily wine too.2

67 days alcohol free and I've lost around 18 lbs! Once I got through the first month it was easy to keep it out of my routine14
-
Just started today. Time to get thin again5
-
I'm going to cut out alcohol during the work week, including Friday
A maximum of 5 beers on Saturday and Sunday. Which is an awful lot, but a huge improvement for me. I started this last Monday, the 27th. I bought some growlers on Sunday, and I totally overdid it Sunday night, and I then ordered a bunch of food.
