I'm in for my sixth round :) Fifth round was a write off to be honest, but had a great few days away in Amsterdam a great Christmas, daughters birthday and still got New Years to go - but need to start back somewhere!

    Round 22 start weight - 151.40
    Round 23 start weight - 145.80
    Round 24 start weight - 147.60
    Round 25 start weight - 141.60
    Round 26 start weight - 141.90
    Round 27 start weight - 146.20

Loss to date - 5.2 lbs

12/29 - 146.20. Oops!!!! Went to the gym for an hours PT today, drinking plenty of water but have loads of goodies in the house as my daughters 10th birthday party disco dome and sleepover so going to try hard to resist.....

12/30 - Didn't weigh in - house full of 10 years old this morning post sleepover so by the time I remembered I had already eaten! Carb laden dinner last night though (turkey risotto) so probably wouldn't have been good reading! Ache a lot from gym session yesterday - only been off a week! Good food day planned today though and aiming to get back to drinking plenty of water .......

12/31 - 146.20 - so stayed the same ho hum..... Not been too off track but did eat some of my daughters birthday cake and need to get back to eating more fibre and drinking more water to get things moving I think as still feel so bloated! Out tonight to a friends for New Years Eve which will involve all round a table talking, drinking and knowing my friend way too much bad food so going to try and resist the worst of it ....

    01/01 -
01/02 - Back to work & school day
    01/03 -
    01/04 -

01/05 - Away for weekend (taking my Brownies to Butlins for the weekend so will need to try and choose wisely from the food on offer) and unable to weigh
    01/06 -
    01/07 -

I'm in. I was going to give it a rest, but thought better of it. Lol! I need the discipline after December. Not weighing was a big mistake over the holidays.
Long-term Focus: In the normal range for my age height and build, on maintenance.
December was a very indulgent month. This round, I am focused on losing my holiday baggage.

I HAVE the power and determination to do this.

    Primary Goal - 160lbs +/- 2lbs. 1lb per round.

pretty-pink-welcome-smiley-emoticon.gif to all the Newbies, and Hi to those returning for another Round. This has given me a motivational element of daily accountability.

    Observations, and Previous Rounds
Many events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! The game continues!

A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:
    • Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
    • A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
    • A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
Don't beat yourself up over a temporary gain. Trust the process and stick with the programme.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

dumb question... how do you go back and edit your post each day??!! lol... can't figure it out!

it looks like I only have an hour to do it once I post it!
    There are two ways:
1: MFP takes you back to the last post you were reading each time you go back in. If this wasn't your own post, try to remember the page you last posted on, and go back to it. Hit the Quote button and edit out the text in the square brackets at the beginning and end, then add your new weight/comment, before you hit post. Your new post appears as the end of all the previous posts.
2: Copy/paste your post in Notes or a word document and update it each day. Then just copy and paste your updated Note/document in the thread each day.

    EW Rd. 26 218.3

    Day/Weight/Comment
12/29 218.3 Mom is out of the hospital, thank goodness, and is scheduling an appointment with her Mayo drs. I'm glad to not have gained any weight these last 10 days. I still have New Year's Eve and my birthday to get through! I can do this!
12/30 218.3 It's bitterly cold here, and I'm feeling really run down. Hoping to pick it up today and get all my water in, as well as some exercise.
12/31 218.3 Feeling a little less run down today, going to get in some cardio today and keep drinking lots of water. New Year's Eve! Luckily I'm celebrating with my 14 year old so I won't be drinking!

@Bevvykay part of the reason I love these challenges is that tracking my weight daily I see a pattern of ups and downs which are averaging out to downs each round. Welcome to the group! Here is an example of my MFP graph. I take pictures monthly and intend to print and string them together to see my progress.

12/27: 160.0 Almost forgot to update...why are some habits so easy to break & forget? W-I not a surprise, have been enjoying Christmas goodies for several days & no treadmill since 12/15 oh my! Back at work, will get back to treadmill this week, I promise.

I've cut back on carbs the past couple of days. I don't plan to go too low - aiming for 40 net carbs/day - and about 90 grams protein, the rest good fats. I have to say that the fats are making me MUCH less hungry, so my calories are actually lower. New go-to breakfast -- half cup liguid egg whites microwaved with an ounce of aged Havarti cheese. YUM!

    12/30 - 148.8
Moving the right direction - yay!

    12/31- 149.6
This is a lovely surprise - not because I haven't been eating properly (I have), but last night my hubby made "fiesta chicken" with a seasoning packet (McCormick) and I almost couldn't eat it because of the salt. Holy sodium blast, Batman! I drank a ton of water all evening and knew I was retaining a lot of it, so I thought I'd be up this morning Yippee yay! (And no, he won't be buying any more seasoning packets without checking sodium!)
    HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL!
