    1/4 - 148.8
I'm getting a bit frustrated. I've cut my carbs back to 20-30% and calories to 1400-1500, and I'm walking 30-60 min/day. No idea why it's so slow, other than I was 145-150 for years way back when.

Are you getting closer to your ideal body weight?

That depends on whose idea of ideal I use, but I would be giddy with 135 and happy with 140, so yes, I'm close. I'm sure that's part of it, but I thought almost a year of eating more calories to reset my metabolism would make these last 10 or so pounds less grueling. Sigh. Otoh, it beats gaining!

Lol. Now that is true. There are a lot of ideas about ideal body weight. For me, I am going off what Dr.'s think according to your height. My ideal weight is 98 - 129 lbs. I am looking to getting to 125. I've noticed when I got closer to the 50% mark of my weight loss journey, I've really slowed down. It takes about 2 weeks for me to lose a half a pound. Maybe it's doing the same for you?

    Round 27

    Finished last round on 138.0

    Day/Weight/Comment

12/29 138.2 Have a slight cold, so stayed home by the fire and relaxing. Next week I’ll get back to the gym!
12/30 138.4 Creeping up slowly. But still happy with this for the Christmas period, next week back on track and back to gym. 2018 will be the year I get rid of the extra 10lbs I’ve been carrying!!
    12/31 -
    1/1 -
    1/2 -
    1/3 -
1/4 137.6 wow so surprised at this but very pleased! Have had a cold last few days and have not really logged much. New Year's Eve was a huge pig out so yay bring on 2018!!
1/5 So totally forgot to weigh myself.... Again! The next round I will do better, back to the gym next week. Even though my weight is ok’ish my jeans I put on this morning feel tight! I know I’ve lost muscle and not as ‘toned’ anymore.

    End Round 22: 193
    End Round 23: 193.2
    End Round 24: 191.2
    End Round 25: 189.4
    End Round 26: 190

    Let's do this.

    12/29 - 190 - Holding. More training today.
    12/30 - 189.6 - Stiff today. Taking it easy for a change.
12/31 - 189.6 - Going to go for a walk in a little bit. The rest was nice but back at it.
    01/01 - 189.6 - I guess I just live here now.
    01/02 - 189.4 - Back to work today.
    01/03 - 188 - Huh. Maybe I hang onto workout bloat a little long.
01/04 - 188.4 - Somewhat expected, workout yesterday and big dinner last night.
01/05 - 187.4 - I was starting to think I was lying about it being bloat. But the gym scale agreed with this number.

I'm in for my sixth round :) Fifth round was a write off to be honest, but had a great few days away in Amsterdam a great Christmas, daughters birthday and still got New Years to go - but need to start back somewhere!

    Round 22 start weight - 151.40
    Round 23 start weight - 145.80
    Round 24 start weight - 147.60
    Round 25 start weight - 141.60
    Round 26 start weight - 141.90
    Round 27 start weight - 146.20

Loss to date - 5.2 lbs

12/29 - 146.20. Oops!!!! Went to the gym for an hours PT today, drinking plenty of water but have loads of goodies in the house as my daughters 10th birthday party disco dome and sleepover so going to try hard to resist.....

12/30 - Didn't weigh in - house full of 10 years old this morning post sleepover so by the time I remembered I had already eaten! Carb laden dinner last night though (turkey risotto) so probably wouldn't have been good reading! Ache a lot from gym session yesterday - only been off a week! Good food day planned today though and aiming to get back to drinking plenty of water .......

12/31 - 146.20 - so stayed the same ho hum..... Not been too off track but did eat some of my daughters birthday cake and need to get back to eating more fibre and drinking more water to get things moving I think as still feel so bloated! Out tonight to a friends for New Years Eve which will involve all round a table talking, drinking and knowing my friend way too much bad food so going to try and resist the worst of it ....

01/01 - 147.50 - not surprised as out until 5am at friends for New Year so still had a belly full of food at weigh in this morning! did go for a walk yesterday afternoon to ensure I made my 10,000 steps for the day though  New Year and off we go. A good food day planned

01/02 - 145.9 - 1.6lbs down  Back to work & school day - boo!!! But weight dropped after sensible day yesterday and a good day planned - water intake is back up and off to the gym tonight.

01/03 - 143.70 - wow 2.2lbs down overnight! But then I drank loads yesterday, went to the loo I don't know how many times and also had a tough HiiT session at the gym last night followed a walk home the long way to get my steps up to 10,000+. One thing I have learned from the daily weighing is how much my weight can vary just from even one evening of "over indulgence" and not tracking / counting let alone the Christmas period and how long it can take to go back down. But happy so far  Just need to stay on track and keep drinking ......

01/04 -143lbs and another half a pound gone. Always a good weight loss week first week back after a holiday but going to enjoy it while it lasts as whatevers left at the end of the week I guess will pretty much be more true weight put on. Day 5 of making my 10,000+ steps yesterday too. So all good - at work and food all planned for the day and a PT gym session tonight so hopeful for tomorrows weigh in

01/05 - 143.2lbs so 0.2lbs on but I did have a heavier carb dinner last night than usual (hubby did low fat home made burgers with jacket wedges - lush!) - although still in calorie allowance so not bothered with +0.20. At the gym last night too and did my 10000+ steps. Off to Butlins in a bit so my last post for the round but intending to stay on track. There is usually so much food there - just need to make sure I choose wisely and don't get tempted ..... wish me luck! Already done my 10,000 steps for today too so off to a good start!

01/06 - Away for weekend - taking my Brownies to Butlins for the weekend so will need to try and choose wisely from the food that is on offer (all canteen style food!!) and make sure I keep up water intake. Hoping for a reasonable amount of walking and also we'll be going swimming one day but unable to weigh again until Monday morning - the start of round 28.
01/07 - Away at Butlins - unable to weigh

    Round 27:
Ultimate goal weight is 105 lbs (I am a very slow loser so this may take all of 2018)

    12/29 107.4
    12/30 108.4 too many Calories
12/31 108.4 too many Calories so can't lose any weight :(
    1/1 107.6 better - hungry
1/2 107.4 okay, back to the start. I have not met my Calorie restriction goal yet but have increased my exercise. I will be happy if I maintain 107.4 lbs by the end of this round. My goal is <106.9 by the end of January. I would like to request that the 0.5 lbs comes directly from my belly
    1/3 108.8 - whoa!

1/4 108.1 - better. Went to bed hungry but woke up feeling fine. Started lifting heavier weights past week and this typically increases my appetite and I gain weight (not all muscle/water either). Am curious to see what my weight will do if I keep my Calorie Restriction for the next 3 days and continue to lift. Especially changes in belly fat

1/5 107.3  1600 Calories while exercising more aggressively may be the adjustment needed to manage hunger. current kcal goal is set to 1500 per day. I have to sneak up on weight loss at this point.

@SheilaBoneham If you have cut grain and sugar from your diet, your body may hold on to weight to heal itself from the inside out. Don’t give up. It’s a process. If you look at my spoiler you will see my average losses have been quite low.

@hedyk One of our cats developed diabetes. She drank lots of water and ate a lot and kept getting thinner. Hyperthyroidism causes weight loss, hypothyroidism causes weight gain.

@archersport when is your due date?

@TerriRichardson112 I love your little dancers. They made me smile!

For those who FORGET to weigh, can you put you scale in a location that makes it impossible to forget? If I were at home, I would post a pic of the bathroom I use in the morning.

Age 60, 5'4" [lost 1/2" somewhere, not the measurement I wanted to lose]
SW 195 [joined MFP Nov 2015, lost 9.5# & got serious Jan 2017]
    1st Goal 150 in a livable way = It's. Not. A. Diet.
    2nd Goal 145 = normal BMI
    UGW Range 140 - 145

My scale only has 1/2# increments, and I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale. Comments reflect prior day. Previous round EW 161.0 LW 157.5
    R20 SW 166.0 10/20/17 (my round 1)
    R20 EW 166.5 LW 164.5
    R21 EW 164.0 LW 163.0
    R22 EW 162.0 LW 162.0
    R23 EW 162.0 LW 162.0 = included parade day & Thanksgiving (no food/drink logged)
    R24 EW 159.5 LW 159.5 = walked Jingle Bell 5K in 44:37 & pace 14:22 / first time in 10 years my weight is 1-5-anything!
    R25 EW 160.0 LW 158.0
    R26 EW 161.0 LW 157.5 = included Christmas (no food/drink logged) & several gatherings
    Round 26 (previous round)
12/19: 158.0 Battling a cold, workouts on hold. At least Christmas decorations are almost done. Net calories red (barely), sodium green, fiber 20g & net sugar zero - how did that happen? 18c water. Fitbit 10,525 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 39 floors.
12/20: 158.0 Net calories red, sodium green, sugar red mostly from fruit, fiber 20g, and 16c water / trying to flush my cold away. Workplace snowshoe hike at lunchtime / 0.42 miles. Fitbit 11,013 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 32 floors.
12/21: 158.0 Little surprised / workplace Xmas party at lunch yesterday, then went overboard with Christmas peanut M&Ms while decorating at home. Still no workouts due to busy-ness and my cold. Fitbit 8,612 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 31 floors. Total guess for calories (did quick log instead of guestimating every bite) & 16c water.
12/22: 157.5 Day off from work, finished cleaning & decorating. Gave in to leftover pizza hubby brought home, but limited myself to two slices. 14c water. Fitbit 7,696 steps, 250+ steps 9/14 hours & 15 floors.
12/23: 157.5 Vacation/holiday, slept in, round trip by car 2 1/2 hours & niece's Christmas concert = sedentary afternoon. Wrapped presents in evening. Fitbit 8,753 steps, 250+ steps 8/14 hours & 16 floors. 12c water.
12/24: 157.5 Little surprised I'm maintaining, have been getting into Christmas candy since 12/22. Stopped logging food last night after supper & net calories red. But keeping active with Christmas preparations. No "workouts" this week except shoveling snow and snowshoeing. Fitbit 7,703 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 25 floors. 10c water.
12/25: 158.0 Christmas / dinner w/ extended family / not logging food or beverages / Merry Christmas friends!
12/26: 159.5 Yesterday was a day filled with faith, family, fun, food & adult beverages. Totally worth it! Now, to freeze some of the goodies so we don't eat them all up this week.
12/27: 160.0 Almost forgot to update...why are some habits so easy to break & forget? W-I not a surprise, have been enjoying Christmas goodies for several days & no treadmill since 12/15 oh my! Back at work, will get back to treadmill this week, I promise.
12/28: 161.0 Happy hour with former colleagues / enjoyed adult beverage & dinner / net calories red even before I got into pistachios for evening snack...ack!!! 13c water. Fitbit 7,873 steps, 250+ steps 11/14 hours & 26 floors. Considering I'm 3# up during the week of Christmas, not so bad. Used to be lots worse in past years.

12/29: 159.5 Net calories red & 12c water. Fitbit 9,124 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 34 floors. Getting back into my groove.
    12/30: 159.0 Walked 3 mi. treadmill / 51:07. Fitbit 13,675 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 25 floors. Registered for my third Badger State Brewing 10K (3/31).
    12/31: 161.0 Got into leftover Christmas goodies. 12c water. Walked 3 mi. treadmill / 50:31. Fitbit 12,434 steps, 250+ steps 914 hours & 11 floors.
01/01: 162.5 Expected: New Year's Eve splurged with hubby on special treats all evening long and did not log food or beverages. I'm sure net calories were horrendously red. Totally worth it! :p And now it's out of my system. :D
01/02: 163.0 Very sedentary day: car round trip 3 1/2 hours & niece's bday party, plus back hurting. Net calories red & 10c water.
01/03: 162.0 No treadmill since lower back still hurting. Net calories red 18, sodium & sugar both green, 14c water. Fitbit 7,577 steps, 250+ steps 12/14 hours & 30 floors.
01/04: 161.5 Tried an easy walk on treadmill 2 miles / 37:42, then my back stiffened up again. Reminder to self: don't overdo. Net calories, sodium & sugar (fresh orange juice & Activia yogurt) red but not horrible. 14c water. Fitbit 12,659 steps, 250+ steps 14/14 (boom!) hours & 35 floors.
01/05: 159.5 Little surprised, it was food day at work for coworker with Christmas bday, but I was very picky about what I ate & had very small portions, ate healthy rest of day. Guestimated & logged best I could. 13c water (not sure, kinda lost count). Not doing treadmill until my back doesn't twinge when I wake up, almost there! Fitbit 8,453 steps, 250+ steps 13/14 hours & 29 floors.
