Hi all, despite the cold, I did manage to get a snowshoe in last night.
Took this picture on my way home today at lunch. It was -24C without the windchill. It is supposed to drop to -44C with the windchill tonight.

I lost 3 lbs this week....so, yeah, am ditching the water weight big time. Good. Project Sugar Expulsion is Day 5. Yesterday’s headache was HARSH.
I have gotten 260 minutes of exercise, though, so far this week. BOOM!4 -

Beautiful snowshoe today. It has warmed up so much overnight. It was -34C yesterday morning, and this morning it was -7C! By the time I headed out it was -4C. It was blustery, but in the bush, it was perfect! Good workout from breaking trail.5

Pulled the ground blind out for the winter since the hunting seasons here are closed.2

Back to logging my food, water and exercise. Starting to use my Contigo container all the time now and that will make sure I get enough water everyday (I slack on the weekends when not working).
Had to make a sandwich this morning for my lunch since someone ate my lunch!!! So bad with the bread that I have been cutting out but at least I have lunch to eat at my desk then can hit the gym.0 -
Stronglifts done.
Picking up a Sole F80 on Friday and selling an elliptical.1 -
I'm turning 43 next week and I hit an all-time high on the scale this past year. Running out of time to turn the ship around, but i'm gonna be here every day to keep me honest. I'm terribly competitive, either in the weight room, the dojo, the track, the obstacle course, whatever. Any new friends to help keep me motivated and to help motivate are always welcome.

Master's Hammer and Chisel, Chisel Cardio...DONE!
It's less than 3 weeks until my daughter's wedding! So much still to do, but we're on track to get it all done on time. I feel like I'm in the last 10K of a marathon. I'm probably going to sleep for a week when this is over.3 -
Walking and abs today, rest days are nice too!0
-
First day back at work after Christmas, so walking there and back (a bit over an hour in total) is the most exercise I've done in daaaaays. I'm exhausted. That really isn't good. Takes so long to build up and goes so quickly. I will do better!2

50 min power walk done! Phew. So happy I went today. Will be easier tomorrow2

a little late to the party but my goals for 2018 is to get back down 170lbs or less. I rode my bike a lot in 2016 and made it and I felt great. I would love to get back down to that weight or less in 2018. All of 2017 I was around 174-6. I did about 1000 miles less in '17. I would like to lose a couple of inches in my midsection and trim up my torso.1

Took this picture yesterday while out snowshoeing.

All Autumn I wanted to figure out how to add in 1 more day of cardio per week (for sleep regulation....so, don't kill me that it isn't "more WEIGHTS"...), and Monday has an after work class time that I committed to. I MADE IT ONCE ALL AUTUMN. No bueno. So, I made a wager with 2 gf's at the gym and NOW I am being held ACCOUNTABLE for showing up to this class! TONIGHT IS DAY 1. BOOM!2

I hope you guys don't mind me commenting here since I'm slightly (but not much) younger. I find the older I get the harder it is to take physique to the next level and even maintain. Here is my current workout routine: https://fifteenminutestoflawless.com/2017/12/09/my-workout-routine/.
Would love any suggestions you guys may have, especially around toning my midsection!1 -

Knowing that I no longer have the chemistry to maintain muscle that I had when I was younger keeps me motivated to workout! It's amazing how fast we can lose our fitness after 40 if we don't stay active!2 -
Hi All, I am 41, 5'3 and currently 70kg. I would like to get down to 58/60 this year and then focus on getting strong and defined. Looking forward to support from here. Good luck to everyone with your goals.3

I know I'm still 2 months (and 8 days) from officially being able to play in this sandbox, but I LOVE this group!! 2017 saw me pretty much reach my maintenance weight and start exercising regularly 6 days a week. 2018 will be the year of strength and flexibility - I adore running but really need to make sure I'm covering all my bases. All the lifters on here give me models to look up to4

Hi Cool Ones,
Welcome to the Noobs! Also great to see all the activity from the "veterans".
@sdereski - beautiful pictures as always.
@Beeps - Woohoo! More cardio is a good thing.
Finished an 8 week training break that included a trip to see my son (and my dog!) in Oklahoma. He's a waterfowl hunting guide who travels between Canada, Missouri and Oklahoma each fall, so I don't get to see him much. It was great to spend time with him chasing birds and socializing.
Now its back to work with my coach, starting with a 7 day/week training regimen. The first training block is bike and swim focused. Each week includes 4 bikes, 3 swims, 3 runs, and 2 strength workouts. The first race on my calendar is a half marathon in Las Vegas in April, but my real focus is on building endurance for a June half distance triathlon (70.3) and then my goal race, which is the Ironman Mont Tremblant race in August. I will follow the same dietician's plan that I used last year to drop weight while training. Hoping to reach a racing weight of less than 175lbs. Will see how that goes.
With two challenging bike courses on the calendar, I broke down and bought a new bike. Hoping I'll get to go fast on it one day, but for now I'll have to settle for riding it on the indoor trainer.
