Dang, Freud was born 150 years too early. Just think of the psych theorys he could have drawn from this group and our fascination with poop and pooping!! LOL0

Average 8-9 times a week, once a day + a bonus here or there. Strange shapes due to surgery years ago.
No need for a squatty potty now, but as I get older and my arthritis gets worse, considering a "right height" potty.
May need a squatty potty to go with it.3 -
Once to twice a day usually. Always early in the morning. Then the other time is all over the place- (As far as time is concerned)I am pretty good about using the toilet.1

You of all people should know how important pooping is to some people! @JerSchmare

Way to suck the fun out of a party6 -
I have IBS-D so it depends on the day but it's usually a party 2-6 times in the morning and throughput the day if I have a flareup0

I don’t have a Squatty Potty, but I have a little step stool under the sink and just use that to elevate my feet. And I’m a once a dater mostly0

Freud would have loved that one. LOL1 -

?? how do you get things done and go places? lol

But we're all clearly having fun doing just that.
If you don't find this *kitten* thread a pleasure you don't need to pile in5 -
Best part about this thread is that it's in the Food and Nutrition section4

Well I think the foods you eat make all the difference, so it's kinda in the right thread
They should make a new sub forum that is nothing like chit chat/fun and games, but can be used for topics like this that aren't really general diet and weight loss or food related. I've had a few questions in the past that didnt really fit in to either category, so i just plonked them in wherever.2 -
RuNaRoUnDaFiEld wrote: »I think this is quite an excellent thread, on a health/fitness site: I suspect many people wonder if they're normal, but hesitate to ask.
It's probably my inner li'l ol' lady breaking out, but I don't understand why so many people hesitate to discuss things that literally every (healthy) person does. Discuss in the right situation only, of course!
I agree with the bolded, just not sure it should be in the food section
Well- it's not really fitness- and it's most directly related to food- sooooooooo- LOL here it is. Sorry??
There are definitely times it qualifies as exercise, though!5 -
Ah I'm still jealous. You people and your chia seeds. I just drank castor oil and I still can't go Doubt a stupid seed will do anything.0

This thread may have jinxed me. I usually get three square poops a day but have only pooped twice in the last FOUR DAYS.
To some, that's perfectly normal. To me, the world Is ending, the apocalypse is nigh, and there is nothing else that I can think about.7 -

LOL I'd be in panic mode too! Hopefully your innards sort themselves out soon xx0 -

From what I've read, you apparently need the power of Chia seeds.
This thread is an experience2 -

I'm not sure whether this is 'insightful' or 'inspiring'. I think maybe a 'horrifying' button is required.3 -
I'm making chia pudding for dessert tonight, so I'm expecting an out of body experience tomorrow morning!5

I'm almost tempted to see if they sell poo knives on Amazon, but I'm scared of what will show up, "People who searched for 'poo knives' also searched for "insert horrifying item you never knew existed here".4 -

Someone care to explain the concept of poo knives on here so that I don't have to google it?0

Supposedly some people create such mammoth deposits that they will not fit down the drain when flushed. So they need to be dissected into flushable pieces.1 -

I have witnessed this in person (not the dissecting part, though).
My senior year in high school, I had stayed late one day to take care of something for a teacher and on my way out, a buddy who had also stayed late grabs me and pulls me into the boys room to show me what he'd discovered...a HUGE log, a solid 3 inches in diameter, reaching full depth into the bowl and sticking out of the water by a good 2 to 3 inches.
Too bad this was the same year YouTube was born and the camera phone/picture sharing craze hadn't yet begun...1 -
Yeah when it literally coils up and out of the water- sometimes- you really just want to document the food baby you birthed.
And that is correct- sometimes- it will not flush. Usually I just use the plunger- but I've had to do the plastic bag/glove method before when something won't plunge. woof.
Pooping is a real thing. I need that toilet that sucks down like 29 golf balls or something.2
