This week's successes: I'm now getting up every morning at 5:00am - a good 90 minutes earlier than before to have time to focus on what's needed for work, what's needed for personal life, and exercise. In additoin to finishing couch to 5k week 2, i started a 30 day "Ease into Yoga" program I found on youtube. I forgot my lunch on Wednesday and opted for an UNWICH at Jimmy Johns - much better for you!
This week's challenges: Eating out Saturday night turned into a bit of a free-for-all and loss of self-discipline. I let my old adage "I deserve this" "I'm celebrating" "I can have a night off" so I ate way too many calories. But I picked up right away Sunday morning and got in a run and snowshoeing.
Non scale goals: Run 3 5K's and a 10k in the fall. Compete in 50 mile endurance rides on my horse.
When I reach my WL and NS goals: Buy a carbon road bike so I can FLY...(I miss riding bike; don't own one anymore)

I'm pretty sure most restaurants are more than willing to cook up a special dish just for you, if you tell them that you have special diet needs,(or even just tell them "hey I'm losing weight, so I need a more low cal meal etc"

This week's successes: Many successes this week. I felt great. I managed to eat well, exercise, go out and have fun with my friends and loose weight. My husband and I went on a 30km/1000m elevation bike ride with a friend yesterday. I love exercising with friends. It always brings a fresh and fun atmosphere. We all loved it and I'm sure we will be doing more of it.
This week's challenges: I was sick for the first couple of days at the beginning of the week. I decided to not do yoga for 2 days until I got better, and I think that was a good idea (I usually decide to power through it). I also made healthy food choices to feel better quickly.
Have a great day you bunches of losers!
I also love bike riding. I have a road bike. It is nice to ride with friends. We are currently doing night riding because of the heat. We ride somewhere have a coffee and ride back.

I know how you feel. Can you measure your progress with anything else than the scale? Body measurement or fitness level or pant size?
I made sure to take baseline of all kinds of different metrics so I don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't move.
Keep at it. That weight will come off eventually. Sending skinny vibes!5 -

Little late, but i'm in
weighed in Sunday, 1-21: 269 lbs.
I have been struggling with an achilles injury after trying to go too fast too soon. I started walking on the treadmill back in December, when I weighed 274 lbs, and I began walking/jogging before my body was ready. After a great workout (for an overweight, out of shape dude) on December 30 (2 miles in 29 min - with some incline) , I could barely walk for a while. I have been trying to walk this past week with some success (after having a nasty cold for a few days) - but I began stretching and doing exercises just to get the body more fit.
I am feeling pretty committed, and started logging all my intake again here on MFP - 3 days straight....
Hope this is the jumping off point to a healthier life9 -
you can do this zonnebloem....if I can...you can!!!! xoxooxo (we are already friends and I stalk her daily and cheer her on! )4
