Things crop up at the oddest moments...
My NSV seems simple: I wore sweat pants to the dog park.
I bought them on impulse a couple of years ago, washed them, and could never quite bear to wear them. Today, I put them on. They clung to my belly, and probably showed every extra pound - but, still, I put them on. Then, I wore them out in public. It's the first time I have worn sweats in public since I was a thirteen-year-old running cross country and hurdles, when my mom told me that my muscular butt and thighs were grotesque, and that I should never _ever_ wear sweats.
I quit running track.
Late college nights, dance classes, two babies, pneumonia, flu -- I've never worn sweats.
I'm 52 years old.
And today, I wore sweat pants in public.
Man, reading this made me teary eyed. I know your mom loved you and all of that as mothers do (generally) and said what she felt she needed to say at the time...but it just goes to show how careful we have to be with our words. That one comment to you drastically changed the way you saw yourself to a degree- I am sure not just in sweats. I tend to be an over-thinker as it pertains to comments and people's feelings (especially children), but reading this comment will make me even more cognizant of the things that I say to my kids...not handling them with "kid gloves" per se' but realizing even more the lasting effects of things we do and say...I guess that is my NSV. Thanks for sharing. :-)

I think all US states put weight on the drivers licenses, and most people lie, lol. What country are you in? Am I wrong about all states?
BTW, I'm quite a bit lower than my license shows now, which was a huge lie at the time.
Iowa used to put weights on licenses (I don't know if they still do); Texas does not.3 -
I'm no longer snacking in the evening. If I get the urge to eat something, I usually go get a glass of water. A lot of this process for me is mental and setting new habits. I find most of the time after dinner I'm not actually hungry, just bored, and looking for something to occupy my time.28

biked 100 miles this month. We have had above average weather for January the last two weekends. Last weekend I was able to get out twice and this weekend three times. On Friday it was in the 50's but very windy so picked a path were the wind would be mostly at my back. The first part of the trail went northwest so had to pay attention to not get moved off the path, then once the path went north it was better but did encounter some snowy patches.
Saturday I was close to talking myself out of going to get the last twenty miles in, Was very tired but decided that while I might be more tired after the ride most likely it wouldn't kill me so I went. And yes I lived to tell the tale. It was bike expo day so there were a lot of people out on the trail there was some wind but not as much as Friday.19 -

Iowa no longer puts the weight on the license. When they did they would ask you if you wanted to change it and no I don't want to change the weight from what I weighed when I was 16.13 -
So last year my size 48 work uniform pants were getting uncomfortably tight. This year my still new 36 size jeans are getting loose...30

From the last few days:
- More fit on the my 32nd birthday than I have been for years prior.
- Went for my first training run today and enjoyed it.22 -
Despite all my reasons/excuses, I’m still here. Chronically ill without any energy but I’m still logging. And logging honestly. Right now it doesn’t matter to me how long it will take, as long as at some point the weight goes off.
Not so much of a NSV as a reminder to me and others. You are still here. You’re still working on it. Doing this is so much better than just ignoring it and hoping it will go away.42 -

I'm in Tennessee and I know my driver's license used to have my weight, but it doesn't now.
Ditto on Texas. Used to but doesn't anymore.2 -
My NSV, as I've actually already posted elsewhere today but what the heck, is that as of today all of my torso measurements are somewhere in the 30-inch range, whereas when I started in May 2017 all were in the 40-inch range. I've shifted measurement 'decades'!26

I bought size 12 jeans this past weekend. I haven't been a size 12 since high school-- circa 1986!! Doin' a little dance of joy!31

Made it to the gym 5 days last week even though I was busy and had a little bit of a cold. Didn't make any excuses.
Went out to eat a couple times but instead of pigging out I ate a reasonable amount and saved the rest for leftovers.
Despite all of my efforts, I was 4 lbs up at my weight in time. But I didn't let it get me down, I know it's just water and will go back to normal eventually.15 -
I'm in a can can dancing group. We had our first practice in over a month yesterday. I rode my bike there, managed to make it through all of practice without feeling like I was going to die, and then biked home 24

A few months ago I bought new bras, because my old ones (50DDD) were WAY too big in the band and falling apart. I bought 44DDD and they fit "well enough". The underwire (new for me, I always wore soft cup before, because I never found underwire that went big enough) didn't rest on my ribcage between my breasts. Pretty close, they were comfortable, but not there. About half an inch off, I think they were. Still comfortable, but if I was wearing a snug shirt you could see the wires.
Today, those underwires rest on my ribcage between my breasts! I'm only two or three pounds down since I bought them, but I guess that was enough to change how they fit? I don't know, and I don't care. They fit better!
Darn straps are too loose though, they are as tight as they can go, but they slip off my shoulders. I need to take a needle and thread to them I think. (Cheap bras from Walmart, they don't have a lot of adjustment available in the straps, not like a lot of brands do)
AND I think I'm about to drop a size in pants. I was a little too big for a 22 when I bought my 24s, but now even after washing my 24s they are a bit loose. When I wear them for a couple hours they are a lot loose. I'm going to try on a pair of 22s payday and if they fit, or barely don't fit, I'm going to buy them. I hope they fit. I haven't been a 22 since just after college 17 years ago.36 -
I bought size 2XL shirts. I started out with 6XL's.51

I had to start wearing a belt to hold up a pair of pants that at one point I could barely button.25
