A few months ago I bought new bras, because my old ones (50DDD) were WAY too big in the band and falling apart. I bought 44DDD and they fit "well enough". The underwire (new for me, I always wore soft cup before, because I never found underwire that went big enough) didn't rest on my ribcage between my breasts. Pretty close, they were comfortable, but not there. About half an inch off, I think they were. Still comfortable, but if I was wearing a snug shirt you could see the wires.
Today, those underwires rest on my ribcage between my breasts! I'm only two or three pounds down since I bought them, but I guess that was enough to change how they fit? I don't know, and I don't care. They fit better!
Darn straps are too loose though, they are as tight as they can go, but they slip off my shoulders. I need to take a needle and thread to them I think. (Cheap bras from Walmart, they don't have a lot of adjustment available in the straps, not like a lot of brands do)
AND I think I'm about to drop a size in pants. I was a little too big for a 22 when I bought my 24s, but now even after washing my 24s they are a bit loose. When I wear them for a couple hours they are a lot loose. I'm going to try on a pair of 22s payday and if they fit, or barely don't fit, I'm going to buy them. I hope they fit. I haven't been a 22 since just after college 17 years ago.
Someone on this board made the suggestion to purchase clothing from thrift stores as the weight is coming down. Then just "donate" the too large clothes back. I really liked this idea because it sure can get expensive---and part of the reward of losing weight is to wear smaller sizes and good fits! Keep chugging along, you are doing fabulous work!11 -

Yeah, I should do that. The Goodwill in my town never had my size jeans when I was bigger (lots of obese women in my town, small Goodwill), but now that I'm a 22 maybe they will. If not, I can drive to Fort Worth and go to the many thrift stores up there. I have plenty of tops, but I need a couple pairs of pants to last me until summer. Then I'll need some capris/shorts, as the ones I bought last summer will be too big! What a problem to have, I'm used to needing to get bigger clothes. I like getting smaller.
I seem to lose weight in my lower body faster than in my boobs, so I'll likely stay a 3X top for a while while shrinking in the pants sizes. I can't wait to get down to a 2X top though.13 -
I think all US states put weight on the drivers licenses, and most people lie, lol. What country are you in? Am I wrong about all?
Some do, but not all. CT doesn’t.
I'm from CT, and we don't have our weight on our driver's licenses. Thank god. LOL4 -
NSV: as I'm losing weight (currently down 47 pounds), I am noticing things about my body I never noticed before. Yesterday it was that I have bones and tendons in my feet that I'd never seen before. It's the little things that make me happy! LOL18

NSV: Being described as petite by a colleague. That was really wonderful.
Started in a 16, noticed my 12s are beginning to be a little lose in the waist.20 -
I went on a date yesterday. Wound up lasting 10 hours. We had dinner, coffee and snacks while watching a movie. I didn't go over my calories and the scale actually went down this morning! (SV is that I hit 70lbs this morning. Lol)42

Today a former co-worker called out to me (huge building, different companies at this point) and asked me if I "was smoking crack or something" due to my weight loss. I told him "Nope, MFP, try it out".21

Flat BP 220lbs 12x - I need more plates

My told me I looked thinner and I had never told them that I was trying to lose weight!16

I had lunch with my family today. It was my daughter's choice, so we had pizza and ice cream. I had one slice of pizza then stopped. I shared one scoop of ice cream with my husband then stopped. I was totally in control and I was proud of myself.39

1) I went to my boot camp class today. Even though I was tired, it was snowing and cold outside, and I was still sore from Friday. I argued with myself the entire drive there. But, I DID IT!
2) Went to Marshall's to look for Jillian Michael's Bodyshred (and found it!). While I was there I decided to try on jeans. I started this journey in a size 18. I am currently in a comfortable 14. Just for kicks, I grabbed a 10 and a 12 off the rack. They were stretch jeans and I wanted to see how close I was to those sizes. I tried the 10 first and low and behold, they went on and buttoned! They definitely weren't attractive but they were ON! The 12s also fit beautifully. Now I can say I'm in a stretch 12/regular 14!14 -
Signed up for a local gym a few days ago, and followed through on trying the boxing class tonight! Love, love, LOVED it. I have a new go to! Now to request a schedule adjustment to have Monday and Wednesday evenings free to box....15

When I joined MFP I wore a size 24.
Yesterday I went out in a size 6 dress and got plenty of compliments on how well it fit and how good it looked.
And I kinda agree!

I'm waiting for this moment so I can say yes LOL6 -
Doesn't deal with my weight but health wise- I haven't had a cigarette in 2 days!52

I played tennis. For the first time in 12 years. I felt energetic, did not feel sluggish and I could hit the ball! I ran around and didn't feel like death at the end of it! best thing was I *regretted* not wearing smaller pants! Yes - they were falling down!
I bought new gym tops, one size smaller. I bought them smaller on a whim - I didn't try them on. I was stoked when I put it on for the first time today and they are a perfect fit!19 -
Started half marathon training in the beginning of January and still going strong even with some setbacks!24

Last night at crossfit I was able to do a personal best of deadlifting 200 pounds, been struggling to get past the 195 mark and finally did22

Takeout or delivery pizza (Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Papa John’s, Little Caesar’s) was a once or twice a week thing for me, since I used to eat nearly every meal out. I’d usually get two larges and bread (because coupons, what a deal!) so pizza for like two or three days ... and then I’d alternate between places because there is nothing more embarrassing than having the same delivery guy come to your house twice in the same week. I had some pretty shameful habits.
But I love pizza. I tried cutting it out entirely, but craved it. Since I’ve mostly stopped eating out (in three months, I’ve gone out maybe 10 times vs. twice daily), I’ve found the best replacement is gourmet frozen pizzas. My favorite so far has been Table 87’s Coal Oven Pizza with Mushrooms and White Truffle Oil, and the whole pizza is under 500 calories, so I can splurge once, not kill my day and not have leftovers to kill additional days. (Don’t know why MFP didn’t post my whole comment the first time!)[/quote]
Thank you for the advise about frozen gourmet pizza's. Take out is a must for me because we are so busy. But if we have a frozen pizza (and maybe a side salad) that would not derail me too much. I don't intend to never eat pizza or Chinese again. They are just so easy to over eat because of the deals/coupons. So I am trying to stay away.15 -
Speaking of weight...I had my ID checked the other day, and the person narrowed their eyes and was like, “when’s your birthday?” I told her and then she looked at the picture again (I guess) and was like, “oh wow.” I still have NSVs at the most random times and I’m on maintenance.29

This made me laugh. I used to deliver pizza and was super judgy about people who ordered pizza every day. I always wanted to tell them we have salads too, but I knew it was none of my business. I'm glad you found some delicious pizza that meets your goals and no longer have the shame of being the too frequent customer.14 -
I bought a belt a few months ago, and I've never adjusted it to any other than the first (loosest) notch. Today I've got it on the 2nd notch.23

I’ve found my collarbone!19

I'm still dealing with a cold that's lasted over a month now. Feeling frustrated, tired, and hungry I decided "what the heck, let's pig out". I went to the pantry, opened the door, and just stood there. Looking at all of the food while saying," not that, too much sugar, not that one either high in sodium, too many calories.....etc". I eventually just closed the door and walked away. I guess after eating healthy for over 9 months, that had just become the norm. Feeling pretty satisfied. Down 56 lbs so far.33

Two today! I bought junk food, but didn't overeat. I had two servings of cookies and put the rest away. I did go over my calories, but not as much as I normally would have. I'll take any progress!
And I did go to my local Goodwill, tried on some 18s, they pulled up but I couldn't zip them (as expected, but didn't even expect to be able to pull them up). Found a 22 that did zip up. It's snug, so I'm not quite there, but I bought it anyway. It should loosen after wearing it a bit, and I'll shrink into it soon (as long as I don't keep going over my calories, ).
A year ago I was in 30s. Today I bought a 22. The last time I wore a 22 was in 2010 before my bipolar disorder got really bad.35 -
Yesterday was really stressful - today was just as bad.
Along with everything else, I was trapped in the house waiting for the plumbers, taking care of a sick teenaged girl. I found myself getting really antsy, unable to concentrate...
Did I distract myself with any of the tasty goodies in my house?
No.
No, I did not.
To be fair, I did open the pantry, and stood there for a minute, asking myself, "What do you want?"
Upon reflection, the answer, apparently, was, "A walk." I had to wait for the plumbers to leave, then picked up my other daughter from school... I explored the neighborhood for 45 minutes while she was at physical therapy, then dropped her at home and got the dog. We walked around the dog lake until the wind picked up too much.
I had a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day - and what I really wanted was a walk.
And I was disappointed when I couldn't take one 'long enough.'
This, my friends, is an NSV!

I have two. I bought a stash of candy bars, and there are still some there. I have had them for weeks now, and have one as a treat when it fits into my day. The second had me giddy. I could zip my prefat boots all the way up. This was huge for me because this time around gaining weight is the first time I noticeably gained in my calves...I was devastated a few winters ago when they didn't fit.21

I've had a bag of very tasty Tootsie brand caramel green-apple pops that a rowing buddy gave me in October. I eat one now & then when I need a pre- or post-workout carb boost (only 60 calories, but all sugar). There are still quite a few left.19
