My waist beads that usually sit at my waist like a tourniquet fell down under my belly15

I got to wanting/craving my number one go to, bad for you, junk food. A Reese's peanut butter cup blizzard from DQ. Yes I know it is winter. Yes I know how many calories is in one of them. My wife just so happened to have a gift card to Dairy Queen and has tempted me by giving me this already paid for opportunity to fall face first into this ice cream dream and off of my diet. That was the 18th of this month. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks. I still have the card in my pocket. Six months ago I would have eaten 10 by now. I keep thinking I will fit it in one day... but when I can I think about the effort it took to get the room for it. I hope this means that I am healed of eating everything I can. At the least it means that I am two weeks deep in a little victory of my own!
PS I will eat this little bit of heaven soon enough. I will just wait for my calorie deficit and temptation to align.35 -
Everyone always talks about running out of belt holes on here. I can never relate because I have a belt with holes all the way around. Decided to see how much slack I have. Yeah that’s a lot of extra belt

Today’s NSV for me is I don’t need to take ibuprofen. I used to need to treat back aches every workday by about noon—-haven’t need to in the last week! I credit it to losing 33 pounds and lifting weights. Squats and deadlifts are my friends.29

My NSV is I was given a skor chocolate cupcake and I didnt eat it! It was between this one cupcake or lunch for calorie intake.16

Today was the day for me. I had been sick since Christmas, coughing and no energy. Had told myself I would start exercising and eating right after Christmas. Had been not active on here or at home for 2 years. Today I got into my work out gear, have ate healthy and logged all my food. I have felt good all day and not hungry. Just starting to me is big.32

Right ! I use it cause i thought it was a good thing like "unbelievable in a really good way" or something i doubt there is a negative button on a community that is all about support in my opinion.7 -

I believe the idea stated in the thread on this subject was that having 75 people hit "woo" on the latest apple cider vinegar thread or whatever was preferable to having 75 responses all saying, "You're full of it." No matter how polite other posters try to be, that many negative responses feels overwhelming to the OP. Woo provides an outlet for negative responses but in a controlled way. And it also enables new people to see at a glance that a majority believes the latest fad is not a good thing to latch on to.
I didn't realize that meant we were going to lose awesome, though. I really miss awesome, because so many people here are awesome!11 -

Worked 10.5 hours, took a break to go to the gym, and went back to the office to crank out another 3 hours.
The NSV is that I went to the gym because I got tired of sitting and wanted to move. I've worked long days before but they usually mean I get little to no activity.
NSV 2: I bought dinner at the gym! No drive-thrus for me!30 -
Hit the gym 20 times in January and binged only 1! Hope to make the latter 0 in February!19

Finally! Some measurement changes. I haven't had significant changes since December. I probably was in maintenance from all that holiday season good eating. I have no regrets and plan to enjoy myself and splurge every holiday season
Feb 2017 vs Feb 2018 measurements
Bust: 36B now 32D
Waist narrowest: 30in now 26.5in
Waist belly button: 32.5in now 28in
Hips widest: 47.75in now 42.65in
I'm a believer. Eating at a healthy sustainable deficit/CICO is the most mathematically straightforward no cost best approach to weight loss.25 -
I actually deloaded my weights when I started feeling rundown, rather than being a hard-head and trying to push through the pain.33

That's awesome! I used to feel like it was a "bad workout " when i wasnt ferling well, and couldn't push through my regular weights. I would end up sick for days after doing too much. Then I read about deloading on here a while back, and decided to do that instead. So much better!5 -
Had to go down a size when buying jeans today. I have another pair of the same model and I thought them getting looser just meant they'd overstretched. Nope! (Also broke my step record today, 17,000+ steps. On a workday, too, and my job is a very much a desk job.)17

I tried on a pair of size 8 Abercrombie & Fitch short shorts, and they fit! (A while ago, I was wearing size 14 granny shorts.)12

My mom bought me a tiny chocolate heart candy thing for Valentine's day. It's Palmer brand chocolate (for the non-US MFP people, Palmer is a VERY cheap and inferior brand of chocolate, even by US standards) and the total container is 300 calories.
I hate Palmer chocolate. Always have.
In 2016, before I started back here I would have eaten the chocolate anyway.
Yesterday I thanked my mom, took the package home, and told my husband I have no intention of eating it. If he wants it he can it, if he wants to he can throw it away.
I bought a 24 pack of cherry candy canes the day after Christmas, because Iove the cherry ones. I still have over half of them. I eat them two at a time, but again, in 2016 they would have been gone by the first week of January.
I'm still struggling in a lot of ways, I have more bad days (going over my calories, but staying under maintainence) than good (staying at/just under my calories) right now, but I'm getting better. Tomorrow afternoon and this weekend I'm making a meal plan for next month, which will help consideribly.33 -
One of the students at the school I work at (someone whom I don't even know) commented to me that it looked like I was slimming down.
Also I was able to turn down a cupcake at work today (it was a student's birthday). Made me sad, but proud at the same time.18 -

Nice. Don't waste the delicious points on inferior chocolate!
Have you tried the Warheads candy canes? I like the cherry ones too, and thought the Warheads ones were really good!4 -

I still have lots of candy canes too! It’s funny, I probably would have eaten them all by now too before I started this. At this rate I’ll still be eating them in July.

@quiksylver296 No, I haven't! I'll look for them this Christmas though! I tried the Now n' Later cherry ones and thought those were meh. If you like cherry Now n' Laters you'd love them though.Mellykay88 wrote: »I bought a 24 pack of cherry candy canes the day after Christmas, because Iove the cherry ones. @Mellykay88 What a problem to have, right? I want to see how long I can make them last!0 -

I’ve only been “back at it” for about four weeks, but I’ve been walking consistently since then to prep for a treadmill stress test (I was born with a heart defect and do stress tests about every three years to make sure everything is functioning). Last time, I was in the best shape of my life and I got to Level 5. This time, somehow, I made it to Level 5, too. I was so sure I’d get no farther than 3, but I did! It was a great feeling. My new goal is to finish it someday.22

Clothes are fitting looser after a month back calorie counting and lots of running! Progress feels good!19

I've posted on here before how I've struggled with binge eating, and my #1 trigger was being home alone. I would even fantasize about my DH going on a long trip and all the food I would pig out on.
Well, this NSV feels like a life achievement goal. DH is on his fourth work trip, which means that I've been home alone more this month since ever before. And NOT ONE SINGLE BINGE. My eating does change when he's not home (more fruits, maybe Oreos for dinner? Lol) but I haven't gone over my deficit or eaten out of control ONCE.
I think the biggest change has been to structure two planned refeed days each week where I eat at maintenance. It's helped me stick with my calorie allowance on the low days (because I know a higher calorie day is coming soon) and taken the guilt out of eating full-carb-fat delicious food without going over my maintenance calories twice a week. Knowing there's a refeed day coming has totally taken away my urge to binge. Plus I'm finally losing weight again! Down 3 kg this month.
Over the moon happy :-)47 -
Went shopping for some sweat pants today and I now wear an XL. Woo!29

My partner works shifts. And his nightshifts would be the days where we both ate high calorie food.
Thats why i started meal prepping. I make him dinner-boxes (which i really enjoy) for the next day.
That really cleaned up my eating habits and his as well.
Win!
and...
i have bones in my neck-area. They are ever so slightly apearing in my neck. Might be the mythical clavicle where i heard people talking of.
