Speaking of weight...I had my ID checked the other day, and the person narrowed their eyes and was like, “when’s your birthday?” I told her and then she looked at the picture again (I guess) and was like, “oh wow.” I still have NSVs at the most random times and I’m on maintenance.29

Takeout or delivery pizza (Pizza Hut, Domino’s, Papa John’s, Little Caesar’s) was a once or twice a week thing for me, since I used to eat nearly every meal out. I’d usually get two larges and bread (because coupons, what a deal!) so pizza for like two or three days ... and then I’d alternate between places because there is nothing more embarrassing than having the same delivery guy come to your house twice in the same week. I had some pretty shameful habits.
But I love pizza. I tried cutting it out entirely, but craved it. Since I’ve mostly stopped eating out (in three months, I’ve gone out maybe 10 times vs. twice daily), I’ve found the best replacement is gourmet frozen pizzas. My favorite so far has been Table 87’s Coal Oven Pizza with Mushrooms and White Truffle Oil, and the whole pizza is under 500 calories, so I can splurge once, not kill my day and not have leftovers to kill additional days. (Don’t know why MFP didn’t post my whole comment the first time!)
Thank you for the advise about frozen gourmet pizza's. Take out is a must for me because we are so busy. But if we have a frozen pizza (and maybe a side salad) that would not derail me too much. I don't intend to never eat pizza or Chinese again. They are just so easy to over eat because of the deals/coupons. So I am trying to stay away. [/quote]
This made me laugh. I used to deliver pizza and was super judgy about people who ordered pizza every day. I always wanted to tell them we have salads too, but I knew it was none of my business. I'm glad you found some delicious pizza that meets your goals and no longer have the shame of being the too frequent customer.14 -
I bought a belt a few months ago, and I've never adjusted it to any other than the first (loosest) notch. Today I've got it on the 2nd notch.23

I'm still dealing with a cold that's lasted over a month now. Feeling frustrated, tired, and hungry I decided "what the heck, let's pig out". I went to the pantry, opened the door, and just stood there. Looking at all of the food while saying," not that, too much sugar, not that one either high in sodium, too many calories.....etc". I eventually just closed the door and walked away. I guess after eating healthy for over 9 months, that had just become the norm. Feeling pretty satisfied. Down 56 lbs so far.33

Two today! I bought junk food, but didn't overeat. I had two servings of cookies and put the rest away. I did go over my calories, but not as much as I normally would have. I'll take any progress!
And I did go to my local Goodwill, tried on some 18s, they pulled up but I couldn't zip them (as expected, but didn't even expect to be able to pull them up). Found a 22 that did zip up. It's snug, so I'm not quite there, but I bought it anyway. It should loosen after wearing it a bit, and I'll shrink into it soon (as long as I don't keep going over my calories, ).
A year ago I was in 30s. Today I bought a 22. The last time I wore a 22 was in 2010 before my bipolar disorder got really bad.35 -
Yesterday was really stressful - today was just as bad.
Along with everything else, I was trapped in the house waiting for the plumbers, taking care of a sick teenaged girl. I found myself getting really antsy, unable to concentrate...
Did I distract myself with any of the tasty goodies in my house?
No.
No, I did not.
To be fair, I did open the pantry, and stood there for a minute, asking myself, "What do you want?"
Upon reflection, the answer, apparently, was, "A walk." I had to wait for the plumbers to leave, then picked up my other daughter from school... I explored the neighborhood for 45 minutes while she was at physical therapy, then dropped her at home and got the dog. We walked around the dog lake until the wind picked up too much.
I had a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day - and what I really wanted was a walk.
And I was disappointed when I couldn't take one 'long enough.'
This, my friends, is an NSV!

I have two. I bought a stash of candy bars, and there are still some there. I have had them for weeks now, and have one as a treat when it fits into my day. The second had me giddy. I could zip my prefat boots all the way up. This was huge for me because this time around gaining weight is the first time I noticeably gained in my calves...I was devastated a few winters ago when they didn't fit.21

I've had a bag of very tasty Tootsie brand caramel green-apple pops that a rowing buddy gave me in October. I eat one now & then when I need a pre- or post-workout carb boost (only 60 calories, but all sugar). There are still quite a few left.19

My waist beads that usually sit at my waist like a tourniquet fell down under my belly15

I got to wanting/craving my number one go to, bad for you, junk food. A Reese's peanut butter cup blizzard from DQ. Yes I know it is winter. Yes I know how many calories is in one of them. My wife just so happened to have a gift card to Dairy Queen and has tempted me by giving me this already paid for opportunity to fall face first into this ice cream dream and off of my diet. That was the 18th of this month. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks. I still have the card in my pocket. Six months ago I would have eaten 10 by now. I keep thinking I will fit it in one day... but when I can I think about the effort it took to get the room for it. I hope this means that I am healed of eating everything I can. At the least it means that I am two weeks deep in a little victory of my own!
PS I will eat this little bit of heaven soon enough. I will just wait for my calorie deficit and temptation to align.35 -
Everyone always talks about running out of belt holes on here. I can never relate because I have a belt with holes all the way around. Decided to see how much slack I have. Yeah that’s a lot of extra belt

Today’s NSV for me is I don’t need to take ibuprofen. I used to need to treat back aches every workday by about noon—-haven’t need to in the last week! I credit it to losing 33 pounds and lifting weights. Squats and deadlifts are my friends.29

Today was the day for me. I had been sick since Christmas, coughing and no energy. Had told myself I would start exercising and eating right after Christmas. Had been not active on here or at home for 2 years. Today I got into my work out gear, have ate healthy and logged all my food. I have felt good all day and not hungry. Just starting to me is big.32

Right ! I use it cause i thought it was a good thing like "unbelievable in a really good way" or something i doubt there is a negative button on a community that is all about support in my opinion.7 -

I believe the idea stated in the thread on this subject was that having 75 people hit "woo" on the latest apple cider vinegar thread or whatever was preferable to having 75 responses all saying, "You're full of it." No matter how polite other posters try to be, that many negative responses feels overwhelming to the OP. Woo provides an outlet for negative responses but in a controlled way. And it also enables new people to see at a glance that a majority believes the latest fad is not a good thing to latch on to.
I didn't realize that meant we were going to lose awesome, though. I really miss awesome, because so many people here are awesome!11 -

Worked 10.5 hours, took a break to go to the gym, and went back to the office to crank out another 3 hours.
The NSV is that I went to the gym because I got tired of sitting and wanted to move. I've worked long days before but they usually mean I get little to no activity.
NSV 2: I bought dinner at the gym! No drive-thrus for me!30
