□ I started with a Personal Trainer on January 30th, so I'm restarting my weight for February based on his scale (fully clothed with shoes). I'll roll over my pounds lost tho.
He's told me NOT to weigh myself, and he will weigh me every 2 weeks. He also told me I may gain weight the first couple of weeks (muscle), but then I should start losing. My food program now consists of 1600-1800 calories, is low carb, and includes some protein powder. I haven't felt hungry even once since I've been on it. Must eat at least every 3 hours. After my 1000-1200 calorie goal, seems like I'm eating soooo much!
But, he told me if I do everything exactly as he says, I can have the body I want in a year, possibly sooner. "Trust me." So I am.
Feels good so far! Really excited about this, as I've never tried this Personal Trainer thing (could never afford to. Not cheap, that's for sure), but so far it's been the ultimate accountability method, and I hurt. lol
Now that I'm financially able to, I'll "invest" in Ryan (my trainer) and MYSELF as long as I need to to make my ultimate goal of being healthy and hot! Woo hoo!
The "before" pictures he took crushed me, and it took me a couple days to turn that around from depressing to motivating. But I did. And everyone at his gym is sooo encouraging.
Found out I can do awesome planks, but my balance sucks, and I can't even manage one good push-up! Aaargh! He gave me a somewhat left-handed compliment, "You're in better shape than I thought you'd be in!"
We'll see where I'm at a month from now.
I'd like to share my ongoing PT experience when I check in with you guys every couple weeks if that's ok?

I'm still going to try to meet my original February goal, knowing I might not hit it, feeling up for a little challenge lol. I'm noticing my clothes are fitting a bit better and I've gone down a notch on my belt. This challenge tread has really helped my to stay accountable month by month. Excited to see where end of February brings me!

STRUGGLES and SUCCESSES this week:
Super-busy this week, plus sick husband and daughter, plus cold/icy weather, meant there were several days I didn't get a good, long walk in.
On the other hand, that hasn't derailed me. (Nor has the trip to the Indian buffet, from which I learned the important lesson that I just can't - and, Lord help me, shouldn't - eat as much as I used to!)
