5th January: 118.5lbs
12th January: 118.0lbs
26th January: 117.5ish????(Scale battery died, so have been weighing in at school.)
26th January: 118ish????
Successes of the week: I guess my weight is ok for now? Will just keep using the school scale this month, as well as summer clothes as a guide as to how it’s going.
Challenges of the week: As always, I keep getting hurt when I try to add weights to workouts. I think the ankle weights are involved with the inner knee trouble (as is the too-tight adductor,) and I strained a delt just trying to lift 10lb weights. So, trying to rest and hoping that knee issue isn't a tear. Mostly the problem that is decades of being sedentary has given me a ton of unbalanced body parts, so I am prone to injury from poor posture and form.

Success/struggles of the week: At the risk of sounding like a complete drama queen... I almost died on Monday while eating lunch. Heimlich maneuver and everything. Tuesday became sort of a “*kitten* it” day as a result... and the rest of the week has been a struggle to get myself back on a small deficit plan. Suddenly the numbers on the scale just don’t seem so important anymore.
Idk. I’ll get back into the groove of things before things get too out of hand...17 -

starting weight: 400 that's where the scale stopped
Total lost: 220

Maintenance: 6 months now
Struggles/ Success: Still coming to terms with some weight regain necessity. Trying to get my hormones back to slighter normal. I know they will never be the same. Blood sugars better at times. Success, PRing at the gym! Actually seeing some muscle gain! Working with my coach and RD to gain .5lbs a weeks for a while. Also, knowing that weight gain on the scale is also water weight and glycogen as I have increased my carbs in the last 3 weeks. Still makes me nervous.

Success/struggles of the week/month: Another challenging week. I can't seem to get my eating and logging under control. My moving avg the past few weeks and month is climbing. The FLU thing really took me for a loop and although I am gradually recovering the binging in the evening needs to stop. The temptation of course is to restrict but I know that will just lead to more eating. Feb has typically been a rotten month for me diet and SAD wise. Glad it's a short month. I am hoping holding myself accountable weeklu with this group will help me from just slipping completely off the edge of the mountain again.13 -

What an experience! Glad you're being gentle with yourself. Great that someone was there to perform the Heimlich! What was the offending piece of food? Just curious!1 -

Success/struggles of the week: The water weight I gained two weeks ago is finally gone.It took me a few weeks to get rid of it. I downloaded the Happy Scale App to keep me sane and watch my trend for the past week. It is helping me to not panic so much when I see a spike up as the trend has been downward.

Thanks @pkweier, @mk2fit, and @Rachelmilloy - very scary experience indeed. I spent a lot of the night crying, trying to come to terms with it. Just glad my lunch mate was fast acting and knew the Heimlich - also glad that my doctor says no permanent damage to my throat or lungs.
Sad thing is the offending food wasn’t even something awesome like chocolate or jelly beans - it was a rather large pickled brussel sprout!13 -

Successes: lost about 1.7 lbs. in a week on new weight watcher freestyle plan, apparently. Even though 1 week can be fluctuation. Beans, yogurt, fresh corn, and peas and salmon are "free" so I indulged in some of each. I was afraid I would see stable or gain as a result of being free on freestyle, since I'm quite small, but for this 1st week it's worked well for me. Crossing fingers. I feel more in sync with maintenance thread because I've been around maintenance for about 7 years, other than these past months.
Challenges: I am not getting much exercise at all, or getting out a lot other than for work, and that is somewhat of a downer. I feel tired, but this is pre-WW. Not sure if what's up. Got a regular check up and blood tests, and we'll see if anything shows up. My GP who's really sweet and attentive, with a great memory, and really caring, but not young, seems to have serious health issues and seems unlikely to return. I feel really sad about that.6 -

Success/struggles: Worked out more last week than I have done in a long while, and it felt great: running, interval training, yoga and stretching. Lost a pound, which is nice just to know that my weight isn't just continuously creeping up. Who knows how much is ever really water retention and just normal fluctuations when it's within such a tight range, but generally I'd like it to come down a bit more around 112 lbs, just to be right in the middle of my goal range.6 -

Sucesses/Struggles: Not much to report from this week. Weight seems stable. Clothes still fit. As a matter of fact, I've been strictly wearing dresses and skirts to work for about 2 years now (I hate dress pants and can never find any that really fit). But with the drastically cold weather we've been having I'd like to have a few pair for really cold days. It's frowned upon to wear jeans around the office, even though I have a few times this year. Dug around in storage clothes and found 4 pair of pants that I kept for "keeping sake", all too big. One pair "works in an emergency" like today where it's 5 degrees. They are baggy, but they will do. Because of my height and leg length there are basically 3 stores I can find reasonably priced pants that fit, New York and Company, Old Navy, and JcPenny. 2 out of the 3 only carry talls online. And the other one I haven't shopped in for 2 years. Since my serious LuLaRoe addiction started in 2016, I haven't had to deal with the crap shoot that is buying dress pants. All the styles are strange, most are "curvy" fit (I'm not curvy any more, I do know that). And since losing the weight, I'm not even sure what size I am. So I ordered the smallest tall size JcPenny had (6 different pairs) online yesterday and we'll see what happens. I don't have much hope.
I'll talk to you all next week. I hope you are all kicking butt and taking names.9 -

General update: I've been trying mini cut/bulk cycles, staying within my 110 to 120 lbs. The last bulk cycle went from 10/31/17 to yesterday, so I am starting a cut now. My lifts improved and I added 1.25 inches to my hips, but I didn't get to the top of my weight range. So from what the numbers look like, I'll add about 250 cal/day over what I did the last few months to my next bulk cycle (which starts in May). I am also upping my cut cycle calories by about 120 cal/day basically just to match what I actually ate on my last successful cut.5 -

Success/struggles of the week: I guess everything is going good. I seem to be maintaining. I was up almost 2 pounds after eating at my favorite BBQ place Friday, but the water weight has already dropped off. I do think it is good to weight daily. If I only weighed once per week and had a fluctuation like that it would have left me very frustrated. But instead I was expecting to be up and I was. And I was expecting it to come back down and it did. This is my second month averaging 119. I hope that my average stays here. All through 2017 I averaged the same for about 2 months and then dropped down. I am hoping that I have finally found the right weight. I feel good here and I am happy with the amount I am eating and the amount I am exercising so hopefully I can hold steady here.

Success/struggles of the week:
I'm a day late with my weigh-in. I've not seen the 71s since April/May 2018.
This week I celebrated 1000 days of logging on MFP!!! But, I didn't actually do anything to celebrate. Just said "well done" to myself.
Through the week I did a good job keeping to my daily steps goal, however, I struggled immensely over the weekend. Yh, I did it but, it was not easy at all. (Reason: migraine and cold).
My appetite has dropped considerably over the past few days. I don't feel that interested in food.
I'm beginning to see a pattern with my monthly eating habits and appetite. It seems as though I over eat at least 1 week/month and under eat 1 week/month. It's not intentional. I guess it balances each other out.

Successes/struggles of the week: very glad to have turned my "weight-gain" ship around. Yeah it's true what all the maintainers say: "if you hit your upper limit, just revert back to a deficit"... and kind of gratifying to go through that experience - feeling confidant that I will always be able to do that when I need to. Loving my new Fitbit with the heart rate feature, it has really inspired me to exercise at a higher intensity. And it has a feature that enables it to assess one's cardio fitness - and feeling kind of awed and proud to have it call mine "excellent" for a woman 60 plus (hehe yay for low expectations).
HAVE A FINE WEEK Y'ALL!

Quickly first, THANK YOU for this group! Has anyone else struggled to find the right amount of calories to maintain? When I hit 124.5 I went to 1500 cal/day to maintain (1535 is "recommended" for me) I gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks! yikes!
Any recommendations from your experience about how to find the right maintainance point ? For now, until I lose the couple of lbs, I am back on 1200/day. When I'm ready again, I was thinking about increasing 100 calories a week or two to try to get a better sense of what it will take me to maintain. Any other suggestions?
(FYI I'm moderately to very active - backcountry skiing, mountain biking, hiking/backpacker as well as weight training and HIIT)6 -
