It seems as though your coworker may have snitched on you and complained to your boss. That is really unfortunate. She should've been an adult and pulled you aside herself if she had a prob with you.
Sadly that is the world we live in now though. Many people feel like the world revolves around them and cry like babies when they don't get their way.
I would avoid that coworker in the future if at all possible.

Hmm. Seems like you need to be a little more stealthy about it. Next time, wait until a coworker temporarily vacates their area, then toot there. That way, they will think the other person did it!13 -

That said, I’d also be a bit peeved if someone was completely unbothered about making an uncomfortable work environment, be that farting, bad body odour or whatever else. Yes it’s natural but that doesn’t mean you can just go stinking the place up and not think that’s somewhat inconsiderate. Nip somewhere discrete to do it, mash every, uh, the bathroom?24 -

I agree. This story is heckin funny but I'd be ticked off if I worked with someone who was ripping butt all day and stinking up the place and then told me not to spray something.22 -

I agree it's funny, that's why I posted. But that's a lot of assumptions from details not given in my story -- I had worked with the coworker for 20 minutes at that point (ever, it was her first day). She'd already sprayed the room once. I hadn't tooted between her spraying the room the first and second time, I wasn't even in the office for most of that 20 minutes (I had to leave as the smell was bothering me, and hence why I didn't put it together that she was spraying for my toots).

Well, when they are that foul, 20 minutes isn't near enough time for the stench to subside. I am guessing the first dose of spray didn't cut it, which is why another treatment was required.10 -

Me too.
I mean, sometimes I have to do it at work. The difference? I have a private office. I mean, I'd still be horrified if my colleagues found out/knew, but I wouldn't blame them for being horrified.
Have to fart? Go find a bathroom. Go find an empty hallway. Don't stink up the place for everyone else.10 -
I taught middle school for a couple of years before movin' on up to high school. I was in a small, windowless classroom with 7th graders, some of whom devoured huge pickled sausages for breakfast. Needless to say it was a stinky situation. Had to move one little girl to a seat in the rear of the classroom so she could hang her rear out of the door whenever, which was quite frequently; she loved those pickled sausages.11

How about: you could use some manners and excuse yourself if you need to fart? Toilet or bathroom is appropriate.
Normal bodily function, sure.
No need to abandon all etiquette just because you work with nurses.
A sick patient needing assistance is hardly the same as a coworker stinking out a shared workspace.21 -

So colleagues have complained about you? If so then you should either find a job where you don't annoy people or eat differently. Seriously, if you are farting then you are eating too much protein. Your body cannot digest as much as you put in. Thus eat less of it.6
