What's the pettiest reason that would make you stop dating someone?

She smelled like soup. She smelled exactly like Campbell’s Beef Vegetable Soup.3

I took her out to eat. I said I wanted the salmon, she suggested I ordered a burger 'like a man'. I order the burger, but I never asked her out again.0

I was dumped for being too sarcastic....i actually laughed when he told me because i happen to love my sense of humor and someone who cant appreciate that just isnt right for me. He also made my life way easier because i was trying to find a nice way to dump him for being a wimp he was also most likely somewhere high up on the spectrum and a few of his quirks were just not things i could see myself handling long term.3

-Poor/nonexistent hygiene/dress code
-Huge difference in/lack of morals (I’m a decent Christian and, according to my moral code, you need to be one too)
-Hits me then lies/tries to disguise it as a love pat (no, precious. Smacking someone in the kitten when you know that there’s a wound down there is domestic violence. Go see an anger management shrink and maybe turn yourself in to the police before I do it for you, please and thank you.)
These things aren't petty, they're actually extremely good reasons to leave someone.1 -
Guys who are not funny. At all. Never, ever. Buh-bye!0

The pettiest reason I ended a relationship was that they used idioms incorrectly all the time. For example, she used "tomayto, tomahto" as a segue out of conversations constantly, even if it made no sense in context. It drove me crazy.
ETA: Or maybe the one I stopped talking to because they pushed my dog away, because my dog has stinky breath, that may be slightly more petty.1 -

I don't think I could tolerate the practice of adding little cartoon animal ears and noses to their pictures. Or cartoon flowers or glasses...4

This made me laugh.
Sometimes just to be annoying I’ll tack on a ‘no bragging’ when it’s completely irrelevant. Nobody has dumped me for it yet so it’s not as effective as the tomato tomahto thing, no bragging2 -

In fact, it's a requirement. The only requirement...1 -

I do this, no bragging2 -
If he had yellow teeth
If he had back hair
If he smoked2 -
Her mom was crazy and I had had enough of the crazy women at that point in my life.2

Friend of mine has a no-date rule for any women who has a name ending in "ee" sound.
Jenny
Stephanie
Darcy
Penny
Maggie
Debbie
etc.
Looking back at all my exes, I'm thinking there's something to it1 -
Slurped cereal too sexually
Planted nightshades next to geraniums
Owned too many Kirkland products
Started pinning denim themed wedding ideas on pinterest
Referred to me as the "boo thang" when talking to her girlfriends
Unable to regulate swamp butt during movie nights
Denounced my mom's taste in home decor3 -
If they can’t spell words correctly when they text on a regular basis. *sad* It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me.0

Some guy I once dated made me pay first for an ice cream date that was $7 dollars, it wasn’t the price but the principle of it0

If she has a cat, and I didn't know before we went out. Cats are a deal breaker for me. I don't actually consider this petty, but I imagine others would.
If she has a "Who rescued who?" bumper sticker or magnet on her car.
if she doesn't know the difference between your and you're, or to vs. too vs. two.
If she insists on taking her pet with her into public places. That's a pet peeve of mine. Pun fully intended.
If she does not appreciate a good pun.
If she refers to her pet as her fur baby.
If she posts every other thought that crosses her mind on social media.
If she posts in the MFP chit chat forums.
If she doesn't get my sense of humor.
If she is a foodie.
If all her friends are guys. Not a jealousy thing, but every girl I've known like that has turned out to have SOME kind of issue that I couldn't deal with, so it's just an early warning flag for me now.
If she wears a lot of makeup and obsesses over her nails.
If she wears costume jewelry.
If she's a poor speller.
If she texts while she drives.
If she pays more attention to her phone than the people around her.
If she plays Candy Crush.
If she's a fanatic about a sports team.
If she wears Birkenstocks.
If she never exercises.
If she likes to make long lists.
If she doesn't know better than to go out with a guy like me. MAJOR red flag there.
If she's petty.
If she uses the phrase "I know, right?"
If she uses the phrase "a whole 'nother"
If she has a cartoon picture or a meme as her profile pic.
I know, right?0 -
I stopped talking to a guy because he hired a photographer to take pictures of himself and proceeded to make a second Instagram because he thought he was #modelling (yes, he even hashtagged it)1

Sooo you're telling me you are available?1 -
I once broke up with someone because he was WAY too nice. I was 18 at the time. He always wanted to help me with things, always gave me compliments, asked how I was doing (literally 15-20 times a day) etc.
Other time I broke up with someone because he wouldn't let me pay for a few dates.1 -
Not petty but ... bad breath and sloppy kisser deal breakers0

Yeah, we'd never have gotten along. I have a cat, but don't advertise it lol, I was a groomer for 20 years, fur baby is a safe phrase when dealing with very picky, obsessed pet parents, costume jewelry is fine with me, I'd rather spend my money on gadgets than glitter, but I do like actual glitter, Canfy Crush knockoffs are fun, and I LOVE cartoon pics and memes
Good thing my husband gets me0
