@Bex953172 With my last baby, the nurse said it was time to start pushing. I looked at her and said, "I am not ready to have this baby!" She replied, "Well, honey, it doesn't matter. This baby is coming out whether you are ready or not!" Enjoy the many lasts that is coming with this baby. With my last one, the nurse asked if I'd like for her to place a mirror at the foot of the bed so I could see the baby coming. I didn't think a thing about it. (it was a self standing mirror). Oh my gosh, it was...well, I can't explain it, but I'm so glad I had the opportunity to witness the birth as it was happening. I think it was calming and encouraging...I got to see what all this pain and such was all about. We are all excited around here, anticipating your announcement to your MFP friends.
My word haha I think my mw said something similar to me “bit too late for that sweet, she’s coming whether you like it or not!”
I don’t think I could stomach a mirror haha
Last thing I want is to projectile over the baby
Although with Marley I’m glad I asked cut cord and stuff, that was nice as i couldn’t do it with my first with the complications I had. Tbh I’m GLAD it’s the last of everything5 -
@Bex953172 Yes, the cutting of the cord is probably similar to my opportunity in watching the baby...just a connection there that I didn't have with the others.
Well, I certainly didn't mind the last stinky diaper...I was mindful that these were the last of the cuddles and snuggles with a wee one, the last nursing, the last bath time in the kitchen sink, the last lullaby, etc. I've enjoyed each season of Mom-hood, including the one I'm in now. I'm always a mom but these days I get almost giddy when one of the children calls asking for advice or help, etc., lol! "I'm needed! I'm still needed!!!"3 -
Day 20:
The Usual Goals:
My breakthrough today was that when plans changed to include eating dinner out, I was able to trust my judgment of what and how much to get, I ordered what I wanted, estimated portions and didn't blow my kj limit.
OH yeah, I just did that -BOOM-
I'm starting to believe that I can (slowly) learn to make the changes in my life that I need to, to be healthy.
I was however seduced by the frothy embrace of La Cappuccino, but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity I swear! (I haven't been out in like, for-ev-er)
New Goals
Day 21:
kj limit aka The Green Mile
watch out for sugar and sodium
avoid gluten, dairy and coffee
Complete 2hrs on exercise bike.6 -

Yeah I do agree. You don’t miss all the stinky, hard times but all the nice stuff like cuddles and the last shared bath and stuff!
Haha we’ll always be needed
I can’t believe that I’m gonna be wiping 4 butts (including my own!)
Really need to get my 4 yo to do it herself, she has a couple of times but prefers me to do it...
I think she finds it funny because it stinks haha5 -

Well when her bum gets numb from sitting on the potty waiting, waiting, waiting, on you to come and wipe, she will probably get fed up and do it herself, lol!!!

Great for you!!! You had a good day.
The thing I remind myself about alcohol is that even if the drinks are low calorie, they cause me to lower my guard and eat amounts and stuff I normally would not, due to them not fitting on the log amount. Then I go through the self-suffering and berating and condemnation. It's like I just sabotaged myself!!!

Look at you---being in complete control of your food, instead of it controlling you! Double Woo-hoos! And an inspiration to the rest of us!
And it's not just that you CAN make the changes in your life that you need to, but that you ARE making those changes!
Have a La Cappuccino, but own it. If possible, pre-log it so you don't run up the numbers. If you haven't pre-planned on having one, order the smallest one, and log it...even if you know you are going to go over your numbers. Knowing that you are in control and are taking ownership of your choices, will help lead you to victory.
Peace and joy5 -

She uses the toilet!!
And she doesn’t even use a child seat anymore!
She didn’t take to the potty that much, she did use it but oreferred the toilet which obviously at the time was amazing progress, I was very proud how quick she learned.
Yet she still won’t wipe her own butt
Although it’s just occurred to me she’s gonna have to do it by September because she starts school!
Last hurdle to get her fully independent on that!4 -
Thank you, everyone, for all of your advice and prayers. The DH told me this morning that he is okay, and I am going believing him. The DH did confess to me that he is afraid that he will turn into his father after his mother passes. His father was not a nice man to his mother. There was significant abuse to her while my DH was young. There were some other extenuating circumstances with that but I reassured him that he would not turn into his father and that if there was anything like that, I would not leave him. There would be repercussions and lots and lots of therapy and things, but I mean to stand by my vows until one of us dies. He seems to be in decent spirits and can still laugh and joke. Now that he is awake we talked about somethings. We are together and some quality time this morning. I think we will be okay.
@Bex953172 I can't believe your baby girl is going to be here so soon! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see pictures! I, also, think that watching the birth of my child might gross me out. But I won't know until I actually have one! Lol. I'm hoping to at least be pregnant by the end of the year.

Oh! The DH and I just got home from a little lunch date. We stopped by our local(and awesome) pizza joint and had a few slices. It's been a while since we've had pizza(or gone out) and it was really nice. Kind of terrible on my waistline, but it will probably be fine. I have some exercise things to put in and I'm going to do some things outside today(It's 75F out!!!!!). And dinner is going to be a relatively low-calorie affair. Lol. It was nice to get out of the house with the DH and spend some time together. We played catch in the driveway last night as well! It was really fun! I haven't thrown a baseball/softball in probably 15 years. I quickly got back into the swing of things though. The DH is waaaay better than me. But it was still a blast! I want to do it again tonight but his arm hurts so maybe not. Lol.3

He will not turn into his father.
The fact that he himself is choosing not to want to be like that says so!
(Apologies in advance for the massive geeky comparison but..) remember in Harry Potter when the sorting hat tries to put him in Slytherin but he asks to go into Gryffindor but then in later films he worries that maybe he’s more like Voldemort than he thought because the SH tried to put him in Slytherin and he only wasn’t because he asked and Dumbledore is all like “and that’s what makes you different from Voldemort”
yeah, it’s like that5 -
@Bex953172 I love that geeky response! I'm a total Potterhead! But yeah that makes a lot of sense. I know that he won't be. I just know. But he has a little trepidation because other then my father, he's the only father he's ever known and he definitely was NOT a good role model for a growing boy. He does concede that my father is an amazing man. I know that Daddy wants to spend more time with him. They just work so much and are doing a billion other things that it's hard for them to get together. But I really think that he can learn a lot about being an amazing husband and a stupendous father from him. Lol1

Wednesday Weigh In:
I began my health journey 1/1/18 at 177. This week I am at 161.5.
I have continued to keep my focus on the process.
I am learning and practicing that "sacrifice is giving up something good for something that is better." Peace and joy!

I had a NSV today! I have been putting off trying on a shirt that the DH got me a few Christmas's ago. It's a Pittsburgh Penguins T-shirt and it's supposed to be an L/XL but it's more of an S/M. It was always really really tight and if I stretched up even the littlest bit my belly would pop out. It made me so sad because I loved the design and the cut but it was just way too small.
Before our lunch date today I was getting dressed and it's super warm today so I decided to wear jeans and a T. Well I finally bit the bullet and tried it on! It goes way down past my stomach now! It's a tad bit tight but nothing too alarming. In fact, I wore it to lunch and I'm still wearing it now! I'm so happy! I love this shirt so much and now I can finally wear it!!!!!!8 -
