It's the little things . . .
I should also thank the person who suggested Parkrun - I think it was @Tacklewasher - it's totally addictive and gets the whole family involved. Three of my family now run every week and we all volunteer. Between us, at Parkruns, we have volunteered 248 times, run a total of 371km (232 miles) and made lots of friends.
Awww. You made me blush...
Yeah, I've done a lot of them but I've not been as faithful as you have. I've done 28 so far. My wife came out to a few, and says she want to do more but we keep getting this white stuff all over the place and she'd thinks the dogs need cuddling because of it (or else she just wants to stay warm). I'll go today but it's hard to motivate running through 3-4 inches of this crap.
So, I guess my NSV is that I prompted you to try them. :flowerforyou:
And I went, so that's my NSV. Part of the path was plowed and part wasn't. But the sun came out and it was a good run regardless.

At the end of the day, after work was over, a couple of coworkers came up to me and told me how amazing I looked. One talked about how before my face was more "jolly" (lol, I actually like this term for describing a heavy-set face), and now it's more chiseled. Woohoo! I'm getting a chiseled-looking face.
Even before that, one coworker I work with more often was talking about how my face was looking stronger and more and more cut as the days go on. He even joked that I should grow out my goatee again and go as a bond villain for Halloween this year.
It feels so good knowing that all my hard work is making a visible difference and people are noticing.36 -
I've logged in for 30 days! Still been logging everything I eat even if it's crappy and makes me cringe haha, but I'm getting better with my eating habits.23

My wife and I joined a gym at the beginning of the year and I am making steady progress with both cardio and weights. Today I had one of my best weight workouts and maxed out on one of the ab machines.17

Ok, so I had a SV, but the real one is the NSV - the heartwarming feeling of success and power, realizing that this is in my own hands. I'm on my last leg, so sticking to tracking and losing makes me feel like I can do anything in the world! The motivation and dedication to do better rubs off in other areas of life18

I got my first bike ride of 2018 done! We've had too cold and too wet and I've been too busy otherwise. But today the rain stopped and the temps climbed a bit, I got done with my chores and away I went.23

I remember my excitement when I crossed the 30 day mark! It's my 39th day today. I think I felt like I had accomplished something huge because in the past I'd never stuck to lifestyle change for more than 2 weeks.17 -
This is a weird one. There was room on the couch with me lying down on it for my cat to come lie down next to me, instead of on top of me. She’s never done that before — I don’t think there was room!32

After a couple weeks of yoga, I can bend over and touch my toes!24
-
Needing a belt again on work pants and jeans!15

I showed a new acquaintance a picture of myself with my family from December. She started gushing about how much thinner I am now, even though it's hard for me to see much of a difference. She kept going on and on about it, which was a bit embarrassing! Still an NSV though since it was nice to hear confirmation that my work is paying off.22

I did an 8.2km hike this morning! The evelation was 480m, so I had to stop more than a few times. But I did it! And I feel awesome!20

Awesome! Yes, definitely!3 -
Took one of my sons out to lunch today. We were shown to a booth that had the tiniest gap between the table and the back of the bench seat. I thought that there was NO WAY I was going to fit in there, but I did. With lots of room to spare.
It made my day but I also realised that my spacial awareness is more shot than my son's is (he's in the middle of a growth spurt and thinks that he's shorter than he actually is).
ETA: I nearly forgot! We were looking at the dessert menu and I was briefly tempted to have brownies and ice cream but then realised that I didn't actually want that, so went for a small amount of ice cream instead. Result!28 -
I have two! Yesterday I went to sit down on a chair and nearly fell off it because I was too far away. I realized my body is still getting used to a much smaller bum.
Also I fit into a skirt today, that I haven't been able to wear for a year.23 -
I have a winter coat that since i purchased it, i had to zip it up around my waist and slowly pull it down to around my hips (so tight!) This week, i can finally do it up around my hips with no issue!! Can't wait until it is too big on me27

Did not finish my meal tonight eating out! Instead I have lunch for tomorrow and stayed very close to my calorie goal, win!25

Yesterday I went hiking up the same hill I hiked up last month. Only I did it rather faster...
Also, I am the only person in the world who thinks cinema seats are getting more spacious I went to a film last week and was astonished at how much room I had! I mean, I know I’ve lost a lot of weight, but apparently I still expected the arms to be digging into my hips...29 -

I used to only have one pair of jeans to wear cause I was too embarrassed to buy new jeans when I was Asian obese/ overweight. I found out today that I fit into a size 32 again! Yeah, I have new jeans without buying new ones.20

I've got a couple this week:
1. Scale hasn't moved (I'm even a bit up from over the weekend) but I desperately need to punch a new hole in my belt. Is this.... recomping??
2. I have THICK thighs. I went to shave my legs yesterday, put one on the side of the tub and went around to shave the hamstring and THERE WAS A WEIRD DIP. I've gone to a couple of spin classes and deadlifted a couple of times this month and there's a muscle forming under the fat and it's like pulling the fat up in the middle. I don't even know how to describe it but IT'S THERE! I even jumped out of the shower to show my SO and he was floored.
3. Bought spin shoes. Never in a million years did I think that I could stay through a whole spin class, let alone like it enough to keep going back!!31 -
I've moved from 42-44 inch waist pants comfortably into a 38 inch waist (I even wore a pair of 36's that had some extra give in the waist). I also had to swap out the belt I've been using for a smaller one since I had punched so many holes in it.21

Went to Red Lobster with my mom and grandmom for lunch on Saturday and we were seated in a booth! I looked down at the seemingly small gap between the table and seat and thought “this is gonna be tight”, but NOPE slid right in with plenty of room to spare!30

I love this!! I started 7 months ago in about the same spot, and aspire to be where you are in 5 more months—guess I’m gonna need to try some kale!!!11 -
I just threw away a cupcake that a 1st-grader gave me. She brought them in for her birthday and left it on my desk for me while I was out doing lunch duty for the bigger kids. I hated to waste it--would have probably told her no if she had asked me (at least that's what I'm telling myself!)--and I ALMOST ate it for that very reason, but I've just finished lunch and do NOT need the extra calories. It actually felt pretty good to toss it!22
