Our 10-day drive from Oregon to Indiana via the Southwest followed by more time in a motel and eating out plus beginning the search for a house has made me want comfort food & junk I haven't eaten in 3 years. This round I'm trying to just be aware, and when I do eat stuff I don't normally touch, to acknowledge why I'm doing it. If I can finish this round no more than 2 pounds over by last weigh in, that will be fine. Better will be to finish where I was -- 146.8 at the end of R31. Then back to actually paying attention & losing.
Goals this round - Replace my scale, and finish round no higher than my last weigh in of 146.8.
5'3", 65 yrs.

Haven't replaced my sale yet, still living in motel because our stuff hasn't arrived. Sigh. Trying to eat properly. No idea about my weight, but I did buy size 10 jeans tonight, so there's that!

I'm finding myself wanting to eat junk I haven't bothered with in 3 years. Still in the motel, movers apparently aiming for the last day of their delivery window. Sigh. I'm going to try at least to get a scale tomorrow to I can see how much damage I've done over the past 13 days.

I sort of stopped posting last round because there was nothing new. 156-157-156-157... I actually have been doing quite well with exercise and been OK on nutrition but a little on the high side for calories. Still calculate that I've had enough of a deficit to lose at least a tiny bit this month but nope. I feel like I've added some muscle in the last month, I mean I physically feel stronger (I've added some strength training TRX and yoga), but the tape measure isn't giving me any love, either.
02/28: 155.5
When I stepped on a second time it was 156.0 but I'm claiming the lower number anyway. Good day for nutrition and water, a rest day for strenuous exercise but I did take a walk and did restorative yoga.

I have an interview for a new role tomorrow and I don't fit in my suit and shirts (WOO) I do fit into my smaller suit which I haven't fit in this well for the last 2 years!! So I am currently buzzing but extremely nervous, I really want this job! Wish me luck!

I know it's hard when the scale isn't cooperating, we have all been there! Stick with it and do an assessment:
1. Are you weighing and logging everything? If so, then stick to the plan. It's science. It works. Have faith in the process. If not, tighten up your logging.
2. Are you ovulating or expecting your period? Hormones have a big impact on water retention which shows up on the scale as a gain.
3. Did you eat lots of sodium yesterday? Also a big factor in water retention.
My bet is that your big run is making you retain a bit of water while your muscles repair themselves. Make sure you drink plenty of water and you should see the scale come back down. Big hugs, hang in there!12 -

I guess it's to be expected after a heavy weekend. Considering changing my GW for this round but also know it's gonna be TOM so not sure. Calories and water on target yesterday. Plus I invented an amazing new low-cal, high-protein, DELICIOUS choc orange puddingy thing for dessert
02/28 - 62.8kg (-0.5kg) - Wow, another whoosh.
I've got the cold so maybe it's dehydration? Or maybe the hard work I never saw the result of last round is finally kicking in... Fingers crossed for the second. Already past my goal weight for this round and only 300g off my revised goal!
03/01 - 62.9kg (+0.1) - YES! The loss is holding.
Tiny bump but whatever. I meal prepped on Sunday and took all my food to work. Then the snow came and now I'm working from home so all my good food is sitting 15 miles away in a communal fridge! Going to face the blizzard today to get some healthy stuff to avoid the trash my partner keeps in the house. Yesterday was hard work without my planned meals - I don't know how people manage to stay within their calories without prepping and planning!
03/02 - 62.5kg (-0.5kg) - Down down down!
Really feeling like I am making progress which is great. This is the lightest I've been in my adult life AND the closest I've been to goal weight, only 3.5kg to go. These 10 day challenges are amazing to keep focused, thank you all so much! Revising my goal weight for the round again. Looking forward to a big salty dinner tonight so not expecting the scale to be pretty tomorrow!

02/27 181.0 Expected! Ate way over calories yesterday, no workout, and had a strawberry mojito! Back to the grind today. Ready to be out of the 180s for good!
02/28 180.4 Jogged 3 miles, chest, triceps, and abs. Was slightly under calories and drank 8 cups of water. I love water, but I find it difficult to drink more than 8 cups throughout the day. Working on it!
03/01 178.8 Slightly under calories. Light cardio and upper body workout.
03/02 176.2 Interesting. I did intervals on the treadmill and legs last night and ate back some of the calories.12 -

02/27: 155 lbs I had a high carb day yesterday. I ate rice which I haven't had in about a year, numerous tortilla chips. Is the HIIT carb cycling really working, or is it a coincidence? I wonder if this number will be up tomorrow. My guess is yes.
2/28: 156.6 I was totally right! My number is definitely up. This carb cycling thing better work, or I'll cry.
03/01: 156: Going back down again. It's March 1st already! This year is flying by so quickly. Yesterday was incredibly stressful. ISTEP is hard on all involved.
03/02: 156.4 Going to head out to TN at some point today. It's our first ever getaway and my oldest is 14! I am nervous and yet so excited. Also, TOM has arrived. I believe that's the spike in my weight right now.

2/27 = 161.6 Got in a 4-mi fast walk in the neighborhood yesterday and ate smart too. This is the lowest weight I’ve been since probably before children (28 years ago)! Headed to Florida at the end of this round, and I so want to be in the 150s by then. Fingers crossed!

3/1 = 162.4 Was in a car wreck on 2/27 and all I did yesterday was rest in the recliner. Ate ok, but exercise is so important for me to be able to lose weight. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get in a walk today.

2/27: 135.8 - so I’m planning my second diet break this week. I’ve been waiting 12 weeks for this and I’m so excited. I really think it will help renew and recharge me.
2/28: 136.0 - great day yesterday: did day 2 of couch to 5k without stopping, felt really good, then ate a huge salty dinner within my calorie goal
3/1: 136.2 - day 1 of diet break. I’m honestly not sure how many calories to shoot for. Should be interesting!
3/2: 136.6 - finished week 1 of couch to 5k. Felt great at the time but I’m a little sore this morning. I’m still worried I’m overeating but I guess time will tell.

Thank you Eviva! I was so excited to see the numbers go down so really depressing to see them go back up despite logging reasonably accurately (I don't count my running calories so always think I've got a teeny bit of leeway).
