Unexpected results of weight loss

The last couple (honestly more like 3-4) of months I have been horribly with a f-it attitude. Just didn't care. In the last couple of weeks I've started making minor efforts again. my last couple of periods I have had more/swings mood swings, headaches, cramps, and the normal symptoms associated with it than I ever had when I ate that bad before because my body is reacting negatively to the large amounts of crap I have been shoving down my throat. It kind of actually helps as it is further motivation to keep trying to make good choices and improve my health again.7

Does anybody else have like, a double bum effect going on? I've got my nice, new muscular butt up top, and my sad old flat bum below. Its making it kind of annoying to wear jeans hahaha12

Constantly having to raid my 14 year old's closet and drawers to find my clothing that has suddenly gone missing.12

I totally understand this! I was just joking with my husband the other day that my butt has a butt because the lose skin has gathered right below it. It's especially noticeable while wearing stretchy spandex workout pants. I just figure they're my victory flags for losing all that weight!16 -

Putting the tray table down on a plane and it NOT resting on my belly! No more seatbelt extenders either! I fit in a restaurant booth, and finally, I can see my toes when I look straight down!21

Not much at all for me. I'm at just about 20lbs down (48lbs from my highest weight) but I've gone down 3 pant sizes in that 20 lbs. Muscle I guess? Hahaha2 -

Yes those chairs suck. And sitting in the tub is not too comfortable either.

Omg, yes!! I thought my butt was the only sad, saggy, double rippled butt out there!!7 -
Unexpected side effect #5 for me: Realizing I'm not big anymore. I still associate myself with being a larger girl.
I spouted off with, "Yeah? I have a big fat a** for you to kiss too..." and had my friend and coworker return with, "Um... no you don't."18 -
Every time is squeeze past people without asking them to move I feel like a superhero33

Ok, so I'm just starting out and don't have a story of loss YET! But, I can say since starting keto and getting more physically active I have:
*little to no depressed episodes (I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety since 2010)
*tons of energy and motivation
*more patience with my children...like buckets, and buckets of patience
*more grace and forgiveness toward myself
*much less bloating!
It can only go up from here.

I have lost just 17 pounds, but that is more than I have ever lost in my life. I've always believed that I really wasn't capable of weight loss
That said - my unexpected result is that I have an overwhelming freedom. I have realised that I CAN change my life - I can change my weight, so that means I can change anything else in my life too. I am free from the life I was led to, and have the chnace to become who I'd rather be!
And it all starts with 17 pounds52 -

I have two unexpected results. First is the fact that I seem to be cold. I wear a lot more sweatshirts. I live with someone who is always warm. Before I was too. Now I find I am cold and need an extra layer of clothes.
Second is, not to take this to a bad place, as parts of my body are shrinking others parts seem to be growing. Basically as I lose belly fat it isn't hiding other parts. Sorry if too personal.21 -

@mtews63 Don't worry, you're not the first to post about an increase in 'usable inches'. More power to you, and fair play for when us girls bring up TOM or bust measurements.
I have a possibly weird question regarding your feeling cold all the time. This is another one people bring up frequently as they lose the weight, but since you mentioned that you're living with someone who is always warm you might be in a position to assess: Even though I'm in a deficit I eat a lot of fat and I've been wondering if those who feel like they're cold all the time have changed their diets significantly since starting to lose weight, and if that plays a role. I mean, obviously the fact that you're not walking around with as much insulation anymore is the biggest part of it, but I've lost nearly 50 now and have just about dipped into the normal BMI range, but don't feel any colder so was curious if another component of it is that my inner furnace is burning hotter due to the high fat content of my food choices.
I guess the question is whether you and the person you live with are eating the same meals, or if maybe you've switched to steamed veggies (just as an example of a low-fat food, no judgement) while he or she is still having spoonfuls of peanut butter (again, random example).11 -
My stomach went flat (flat flat ) even though I’m nowhere near my goal weight. I’m oddly surprisingly warmer. Not wearing a coat now for about a month and a half and went out today in a dress (40 degrees).10

I'm just starting but already I am getting back towards pear/hourglass shape rather than apple!9

Has anyone else noticed that their hair feels thicker and more lusterous? Not sure if it is from better nutrition or something else.6
