So Apparently my last post was too long to post.

3/22 & 3/23=351.2 *So yesterday, was busy! from the time I got up till the time I crawled into bed..today has been the complete opposite of yesterday super duper slow. I'm planning on getting a daily burn exercise in, Today lunch was Asian Porkchops. Which was surprisingly delicious.I have dinner going which tonight is a free recipe I got from Easy Chinese Chicken Fried Rice.
Backstory When I first moved in with my cousin it was Aug 2007, I can say looking back now we were beyond unhealthy. We both had been brought up if your sick go to the dr. Well, She had to take a hand full of medicine every morning and night. Now let me try to say a handful can be different for each person her hand full was 15 different types of medicine.Ones for her Thyroid, her Shingles medician because back then it our health was the last thing on our mind in the terms of how we look at our health today. I was taking ADD meds and Asthma meds and Headache meds almost on a daily note. Get up get a surgery filled breakfast brush your teeth with chemical-filled toothpaste. Here an interesting note on ALMOST ALL products on the market if you happen to have ever seen a small green, blue, black or red tiny almost barcode looking square on the bottom of toothpaste, shampoo etc. kind like the pic below..Yeah let that sink in for a moment. even before this we were battling for breath when we walked out to check the mail. Or when we would walk we twist an ankle. How many of you Yes! you have twisted an ankle then couldn't walk. Or even eaten something then later your visiting out Great Hidden closest friend, in the middle of the night the toliet then wondered and thought "It must have been something I ate or Maybe I'm getting sick" Let me run and call the dr and go in to get more pills I have to take. Yeah you and me and her both.
I'm in Hope that by people reading my post I can share how me and her both No longer take any medician from the dr. Yeah, her thyroid and shingles meds she doesn't have to take them anymore; Nor do I. That all ended 3yrs ago because it was 3yrs ago when we started putting the puzzle together. Now by cooking and eating our food from the house not processed foods from the quick grab isle I'm late I need something fast for dinner isle. Well when we figured this out and started changing the weight fell off and we didn't end up daily in the gym and we didn't count calories.So I hope everyone has a great night and I'll see you all in the morning time.
3/24=351.2 *Blah!! So today I have a slight headach most of the afternoon. So this evening is just a quick post. Today lunch was Chicken Miso Ramen. And I really ate bad after that; I had left over pasta and made spagehtti then ate a big bowel of that. then to top it off I ate a big whole chocolate bar. I'm sure today will catch up with me tommrow.4 -

3/19: 223lbs. I decided to cut my calories this round to see if my weight starts trending in the right direction. Today was a good day overall. I kept my calories below 1800. Walked 10000 steps and worked out for 30 minutes.
3/20: 222lbs. I’m glad to see the scale finally drop a pound. I ate about 2200 calories today, but I walked 11000 steps and had a 35 minutes weight lifting session.
3/21: 221.5lbs. 2200 calories, which is still more calories than I originally planned for this challenge. 12000 steps and a 40 minute workout.
3/22: 222lbs.
3/23: 222lbs. Walked 9000 steps and lifted weights for 45 minutes.
3/24: 222lbs. Walked 10000 steps and completed a 30 minute workout.

3/19 - 98.6kg - very full weekend, too much salty meats and snowed in so couldn't get out for a run… should be a nice whoosh over next few days as I was down to 96.6 on sat, so 98.6 this morning can't be true weight gain… can it?! husband is home for next 10 days though so he's on strict orders to make sure I stick to my plan! I have reset my calories to 1kg loss per week and I will NOT eat back calories from running…. I have a bar of yummy chocolate waiting for me for Easter!
3/20 - 97.3kg Now there's a whoosh…. :-)

3/22 - 97.7kg finding it hard to log food as I'm deep into thesis work! I have an assignment due soon so my time is being devoted to getting that done. My calories haven't been too bad but I'm not going to get to run until Saturday… :-(
3/23 97.1kg I dunno how. Bad food choices, even though I was under calories, I think. Possibly due to the fact I drink a lot more water while studying?!
3/24 98.2 i just don't know… I walked, rowed and did spinning followed by a bit of landscape gardening…. How?!

3/19 266.2 I have been gone for a few rounds and have really struggled lately. I have been gaining & losing the same three pounds for a couple of months. I think getting back into the 10 day challenge will me get moving in the right direction again.
3/20 264.4 Not surprised at the drop. I feel like I'm carrying a bunch of water wt and bloat. I fully expect to drop 5 lbs during this round which will put me where I should be prior to the last couple of weeks. I'm really focusing on eating lots of veggies and fruits and avoiding processed foods. I also walk 8 to 10,000 steps a day everyday; if I don't the scale really doesn't like me at all. This morning its a veggie omelette, green peppers, mushrooms, onion, maybe a little zucchini if I have some. Reinventing the wheel is hard but sometimes thats what it takes.
3/21 262.9 I figure I have another pound to go then the water wt will be off and it will get tougher to move the needle. Over 10,000 steps yesterday was a plus. I plan to eat light again today and should have another day or two of wt coming off.
3/22 263.9 wow was not expecting this, but just a minor set back. Onward!

3/24 264.8 I think I can get 263.2, -3 lbs this round would be a good number. Man these days go by quick wow.
3/25 264.1 I'm watching my eating closer from 4pm to bed. I do really well through 4 pm but it seems I get loose with the eating later in the evening, I need to work on this.

3/19 276.9 Not starting off great but all good I know it's water walked a lot yesterday and was under calorie goal
3/20 275.1 Love it when the water weight goes away changed my exercise this week instead of 3 cardio / 2 strength reversing them as would like more muscle definition so 3 days of lifting with light cardio and 2 days of heavy cardio see how that route works.
3/21 275.4 A tad up but still happy got a day of lifting and some cardio if I can get to the gym got 2 inch snow already and still coming down but roads look clear
3/22 275.7 moved wrong direction but actually went over calories yesterday not by a lot but first time in a long time be nice if weather would decide between winter and spring so can go hiking more. Going to do cardio day at gym did get measured yesterday at dr and gained 3 inch on my chest so lifting weights does work.
3/23 275.3 going right direction again good burn at the gym today getting ready for more snow tomorrow might get a quick hike in this afternoon ahead of it since this weekend looking like not getting outside
3/24 275.6 Just stalling out this round feel I'm eating good and under getting good exercise body just sometimes doesn't know to shrink some fat just doing some light cardio ahead of snow storm coming in
3/25 275.7 My body just doesn't like losing this round was low exercise day yesterday and snow storm so really just watch tv so that didn't help but was under my calories have anthor rest day but hoping does get warm enough to do a short hike this afternoon

Nothing works unless you have a sustained calorie deficit over time. Anything will work if you have a sustained calorie deficit over time.
Motivation is overrated. What you need is education, willingness to eat less, a good plan, and discipline to stick to it.
According to John Walker's The Hacker's Diet which is an interesting perspective on "diet" page 54 you take in 13.5 lbs of food/water/oxygen a day but depending on how efficient everything processes we don't operate on a perfect 24 hour cycle to use all that so you get those fluctuations. I think that is semi comforting to keep in mind we are not robots and CICO doesn't operate at perfect 24 hour scale either.6 -

3/19 - 248.8/ It was an eventful week, to say the least. My eating game was not up to standards, nevertheless, I started this week on a good foot and looking forward to whats to come!
3/20 - 250.0 (+1.2)/ In all honesty, I knew this would happen, and I think this might be the case for tomorrow. I haven't been eating well since last Thursday. But tomorrow is a new day. I plan to workout tomorrow before work. I'm ready to forgive myself and change the direction.

Back again! Hello everyone!! My motto this week is "write it before you bite it" as I haven't been super consistent logging my food lately.
SW - 182.4 - March 2017
Original GW - 145 - Smashed this in October 2017 and maintained around 143 until the winter blahs and my crazy freelance schedule got the better of me and I put a few back on.
New GW - 140 - really want to work on getting another 5-7 off from where I am now and committing to fitness so I can participate in some adventures with my boys over the summer...no more watching from the sidelines!!
3/18 - 147 - coming in from round 34
3/19 - 147.4 - weekend aftermath...blaming it on the beer. We were super active so I can only hope some of this is also muscle recovery as well.
3/20 - 146.4 - One year ago today....I started tracking my food and weight everyday with the intention of losing 20lbs before a big family vacation and then to keep going to lose a bit more before the summer. I've gone from barely squeezing into size 12 pants and covering my top with flowy XL shirts to not event hesitating to go to the size 8's and smalls and even bought a pair of size 6 jeans last week. I'm participating in sports and activities with my active kids instead of watching from the sidlines!! I'm very proud of myself...it's hasn't all been down...but I didn't let the upswings derail me. Weighing and checking in here everyday has made me very mindful of how my choices affect the scale and what those trends really mean in the long run. I still have some goals to achieve but if this chocolate/craft beer/wine loving mama can do it so can anyone!!

3/23 - 144.0 - Still coming off!! Hoping to get back down to 143 before we leave on vacation next week...if I can only keep the wine in control this weekend.
3/24 - 142.8 - Yep!!! That happened!!! I expect this will rebound a bit over the weekend. I think I will back off the deficit a bit and start eating more of my activity calories back.

It's just natural fluctuations in your body. Don't worry about it. Just keep doing "all the right things" and the scales will go back down. Make sure you are accurately tracking (weighing if you aren't already) everything that goes into your mouth and keep exercising when you can. If you have a calorie deficit over time, the science of your body makes sure that you WILL lose.5 -

3/22 = 157.0 So happy about this and praying the bounce won’t come. I will NOT feed a bounce!
3/23 = 157.0 Traveling to my parents’ house for the weekend. Their house is full of everything I ate growing up, SO I will really have to be strong to maintain through the weekend. I do not want that stuff. I do NOT want that stuff. I DO NOT WANT THAT STUFF!!!
3/24 = No scales today at my parents’ house, but I was pleased with how I ate yesterday. So far, so good! They are impressed with my weight loss, so perhaps there won’t be as much unintentional sabotage on anyone’s part.
3/25 = No scales again today. I did well eating yesterday and even made time to go to the gym with my 87 year old dad! He hadn’t been in months, but wanted to join me. Mom and I went shopping. She was shocked to see me with my new body in much smaller size clothes. It felt SO good! Dad said, “you must be the thinnest you’ve been in a really long time.” I told him, “I’m the thinnest since 1983—way before children!”

Have been hovering around same weight neighborhood for months. Hoping to find my enthusiasm for logging every bite as I seem to have misplaced it. My goals for this round are to exercise 5x per week and log every bite and sip. To eat cleaner than I've been recently which means staying away from processed foods.

3/19.. 145.4 Woke up with a big weight gain - 2 lbs. Hoping water weight. Gym today.
3/20..145.2 Had a good workout at gym and recording every bite.
3/21..144.8 Better. Right direction. Got quite a way to go to get to my before holidays weight but did it once, can do it, and more!, again. Snowing, snowing, snowing. Doubt I'll get to gym. It will be the elliptical today. And egg whites and mushrooms and spinach! Went to store yesterday. High protein, low carbs works well for me. Enjoy your day wherever you may be.
3/22.. 144... Getting there. Looked back at food diary from a year ago when I was actively losing and going back to some of my practices/food choices from then. It's helping. 50 min ellip yesterday and lots of veggies and protein. And water!
3/23...143.6 Better. Loving mushroom/spinach/egg white scramble for breakfast. It works for me. Got in some HIIT ellip yesterday. I thought I'd never be able to do high intensity as I have asthma issues and get short of breath at times. New med and something I saw recently about hiit made sense. The instructor said your body doesn't know about clocks: ex-most trainers give you a time for working hard and then resting. This video said just go at your top speed for however long you can and then rest as long as you need to reset. This made so much sense to me. Enjoyed doing it this way yesterday.

3/26: 179.3 —in the interest of oversharing.. It is now "that time". And my weight ALWAYS spikes. I confess that I hate seeing 180 on the scale, but... My body fat % is dropping. I lifted heavy again yesterday, and am seeing gains, so I'm not going to freak out too much. I also took my oldest daughter out on a date last night, and we ate all the food. I'll recover by this time next week.

3/19 - 199.2 - good start after being unable to workout all last challenge that would be why I skipped it. Goal is to drop another 4-5 this round so I can completely kiss the 200’s goodbye!
3/20 - 200.2 not sure I like weighing everyday. This one is frustrating. I haven’t been able to workout for over 10 days and still can’t. I guess I’ll have to cut back on more calories or do a better job drinking more water. Trying to keep my head up. I can do this!!!
3/21- 200.4 I’ve been staying under my calorie count my only challenge is I can’t workout for a couple of more days. This is pretty frustrating. I’m 5 weeks into my new Keto lifestyle and I thought the lbs would come off a bit easier at this point. Ho hum….
3/22- 198.6 - not sure I believe it since I drank last night. Stressful week and still can’t work out due to my ankle issues. I’ve been under in calories everyday. We will see if this holds I have my doubts.
3/23 - 199.0 - not thrilled about this and was not going to post but it helps to write it out. I can only hope that my body is adjusting. My clothes fit better than they have in months so I have to think I am losing more than my scale is letting on. I will keep my macros in check all weekend and keep plugging along. I’d really like to be in the low 190’s by middle of April but that might be a bit of a push.
3/24 - 196.0 yeah right- I have been staying in my macros and been stagnant. Went out with friends last night and had several drinks so not sure how this is possible. I’ll roll with it but not thinking it will stick.
3/25 - not weighing today. Tomorrow is weigh and measurements. Didn’t track a thing yesterday and had two glassss of wine. I’m sure I know what the scale will say. I’ll put the 200’s behind me by the end of this challenge though. Thanks for all the support.

I'm a little frustrated, so yesterday (3/23) I calculated my average calories over the past 3 weeks. The result - 1548 - aligns precisely with my TDEE per the sailrabbit.com calculator, so I believe I am eating at my current TDEE and I am making 1548 my new daily goal. When I try to eat less than that, I wind up really hungry and go over the lower goal, so I am rethinking.
Then I read a slew of articles on BMR, TDEE, calories, healthy weight, and so on. As a result, I've concluded that, although I would like to lose a bit more, I am currently at a healthy weight and I feel good about myself, and I have revised my goals. When warmer weather arrives, I’ll be exercising more, and will no doubt lose a bit if my caloric intake remains steady. Most important is to live a healthy, active, conscious life, and that is my primary goal. No diet, no extremes, just healthful foods. I hope you don't mind my hanging in here as I maintain/lose a little.

Round 8 for me (6 full rounds plus 3 days), and I'm getting smarter every day. I'm also kinder to myself, more reasonable, more forgiving, and just generally better. 3/19 = 205.2 (-1.4). BOUNCE BACK™. I'm going to differentiate this loss with everyone's favorite rainbow unicorn, the WHOOSH™. I had a big gain on the last day of round 34 (2.2 lbs), and this is my body beginning to recover from that. I ate well yesterday, was under calories, drank plenty of water, and under on sodium. I have basketball tonight, which means a trip to the gym as well. Good start to this challenge!
3/20 = 204.6 (-0.6). Another BOUNCE BACK™. Good day at basketball yesterday, ate well, drank enough water, good on sodium. The sins of Sunday have been erased; it only took two days this time. I can pretty much predict my weight trend every night at this point based on my behavior during the day (thanks mostly to for tracking). I know a bunch of you have probably reached that point, but it's still pretty cool. Missed the gym last night, so I'll be lifting weights and doing HIIT tonight.
3/21 = 204.8 (+0.2). I felt a little out of control yesterday. Snacks were flying my way (some of them guided by my hand), and my wife bought me dinner (really hard to track), but I think I did okay. I was probably over a lot in salt, though (teriyaki is the devil). My wife was home early, so the gym didn't happen, either. The next stage in my development is motivating myself to get to the gym on non-basketball days (this upcoming Monday, for example). It's easy on basketball days, but mostly "miss" when basketball doesn't happen. I'm thinking of trying SL 5×5, but I need to make sure my knees can handle all the exercises before I get too excited.
3/22 = 203.8 (-1.0). And that's a WHOOSH™. Inching ever closer to onederland, I'm at an all-time low (since restarting MFP). Met all my eating goals yesterday, and snacked on fruit instead of crap last night. It's raining all day today, but it's basketball tonight. I will not miss it, nor will I miss lifting weights with my wife. Motorcycle life!
3/23 = 202.0 (-1.8). I had a really good night at basketball. It's relatively normal for me to have a good drop when I play. I ate within calories (didn't eat any of my 1250 exercise calories back), was over on sodium, and was a little light on water, at least for a basketball night. I have a really nice dinner out tonight; going to try to keep portions under control. I'm also trying not to get too excited, but ONEDERLAND is within reach. It will be my goal for next challenge.
3/24 = 204.8 (+2.8). Before I understood my pattern this would have been incredibly upsetting. It was a cheat meal. I did the best I could with it, and at least it wasn't 4.0 lbs (which had happened before!!!). It was tasty, salty, and fantastic, and I have only minor regrets (as I avoid these situations as much as possible). Basketball and the gym are happening this morning, and I have 4 days to work this off. Even if this challenge ended today I would be 1.8 lbs down, which is pretty great. I'm hopeful. Taking 80 ounces of water to basketball today.
3/25 = 204.8 (+/-0.0). Played basketball, ate back a little less than half my exercise calories. Went over my salt intake with dinner again (pizza, kale salad). I'm hoping to get back on track after the cheat meal two days ago, and that today's weigh-in (no drop after basketball) is an additional consequence. My brother-in-law (personal trainer) is going to teach me tonight proper form on the exercises I need to do SL 5×5. I'll be starting it this week while basketball is off for spring break.
