Congratulations @zdyb23456 on your 5K time
Congratulations @abutcher2122 with your personal best
Great job @MNLittleFinn with your 50K
Great job @MobyCarp on your 15K. Glad you're on the mend and preparing for Boston.
Great job @hjeppley on your 50K.
Congratulations @cameronheel on your marathon. Great time.
@juliet3455 you are so right. My friend is training for the same half I was supposed to ran and it's killing me to listen to her. Right now Skip is in Costa Rica for spring break. I'm so jealous.

I will keep quiet about training for it then. Sorry that I won't see you up there in Lynchburg. Mend up @skippygirlsmom

@hjeppley - Wow, that looks like one tough time. So impressed that you toughed it out. Amazing accomplishment. And kudos to that volunteer...talk about going above and beyond!

@MNLittleFinn - You are amazing my friend. I hope this doesn't come across as patronizing because it's not intended that way, but I am completely floored by how far you have come since I first started on this thread. Your dedication and determination are impressive!

@cameronheel- That is one heck of a first marathon! Congrats!!

A nine mile run for me this morning. It's my first run over 10k since my half marathon back in November. Plenty of other runners out and about in the snow and lots of encouraging waves and a 'good job' from the runners running down Heartbreak Hill while I was running up it.

I was nearly home when I realised my run would be less than nine miles, so I added a couple of turns, ran against the tangents, and ran to the top of the street and back again to hit 9:01 miles. My husband was looking out of the window watching my antics and laughing his head off at me.

I had to run past my house to the top of the street to get at least six miles. It never used to bother me until joining this thread!!!

I was so relieved to learn I wasn't the only person who did this.

I think we all have done it many times. It is annoying to load your run log for the day and see 6.99 miles or something. :)

I also have to fill my tank to an even dollar amount. For some reason, it annoys me to see someone allow the gas pump to stop on like $23.87 and just put the hose away.

I always stop at an uneven number so I know if I need to dispute a charge on my card, which I’ve had to do a few times when someone stole my wallet

Question – What is post holing? I’ve seen this description before on here but no clue what it means!

I think this is when you are running in deep snow and you leave holes in the snow where your legs were. Runners behind you might use the same holes to make their run easier? I am not sure - I have not run a race in snow that deep! :)

@MobyCarp thanks for the insight on the cadence issue. I think I will use the data and try to see if there is any connection to cadence and injury for me. I think my form is good and mostly my cadence is natural, I cannot for the life if me contiplate a slower pace with a 180 rpm cadence. When younger I definately went for longer strides which was most likely not good but when you're under 20 youth will protect you.

@cameronheel - Congratulations on joining the 1% of Americans who have run a marathon! If I run my next marathon as fast as you did, and finish in decent physical shape, I'll count that as a success.

@garygse - I'm contemplating a trail half marathon on June 9. Took a drive out to the site today; the hill on the *road* is impressive, and the race is on *trails*. If I do that one, it's nearly certain that I will have a half slower than your last one.

Ran a slow 5 miles this morning- felt heavy and sluggish. Glad when I was done. Hopefully my 7 scheduled for tomorrow is better.

We are taking the kids camping next week and I’m planning on taking the entire week off from running! I haven’t taken time off from running in almost 3 years and that’s only because we took a 8 day road trip. I’m not sure how I feel about it.

@NikolaosKey You've smashed your March mileage goal. Awesome stats.

I aimed low, since I didnt know how the piriformis will behave. But it went fine!
