Even the scale hasn't moved in a little while, my body is still changing.
When I buy a new shirt, I now need to make sure it's sized to fit my shoulders properly; whereas my breasts used to be the problem.
Boot-cut jeans are no longer more flattering than skinny jeans, because my hips and butt are narrower.20 -

I recently had this same realization! I don't need to buy the xl shirts and flare cut jeans. Small and skinny still seem unreal.9 -

I am still really attracted to the plus size racks at Target. I don't know if I really like the styles better or if it's just habit – and I haven't been plus size in a year. I keep catching myself over there and then consciously steering myself away.12 -
I can feel my hip bones!19

Today I went clothes shopping in the sale. All my size 14 (UK) dresses are a bit big on me now, so I was delighted at thinking I must be a size 12.
I bought three dresses. All size 10. There were two other dresses I didn’t get because the smallest size was 12 and it was a little big, especially as I’m still losing.
WTH. I honestly thought my frame size meant I would bottom out at a 12. Also, I’M STILL OVERWEIGHT. I have no idea what is going on anymore.

@ceiswyn You look great! I saw your other thread about 'fat redistribution'. Take the size 10 wrap dress as a trade-off. I'd love to wear anything that was fitted through the torso but they simply don't work with my shape and proportions (even when I'm not fat), so I say enjoy the win.8

You make a good point! Thankyou2

My NSV is that, even in my first week back after re-gaining 35 of the 45 I lost, even while 100% bed bound due to a Synvisc reaction in both knees (they are like watermelons!), I’m staying within my calories. Probably won’t lose any, but hopefully won’t gain either. In the past, I’d be so depressed I’d go crazy binging. Proud of myself.39

Saturday is becoming my day to check the success forums and reflect on my week, and it's been a pretty good one! Yesterday I registered for my first ever 5k, just like I promised myself last year that I would. It's hard to think that I've stuck to this so long and I hope the good times keep rolling.
A second NSV yesterday - I was watching a movie at home, twisted around to grab something, and HOLY KITTENS! I've got muscle definition in my arms and shoulders! Just a little bit, but I don't think I've ever had anything resembling definition before. My husband says he can see new definition in my legs, too. Freaking amazing. Lifting weights is my drug.
And last but not least, tomorrow will be two weeks since quitting smoking. BOOM!44 -
I've been lifting free weights for a couple weeks now, and my clothes are fitting better. My weight has started the same, but my measurements are changing, and it's a wonderful experience.25

I started my journey on my own after a T2 diagnosis last year, but joined a weight loss program at work earlier this year thinking that I was doing it either way, so I might as well get the extra help! Everyone at my current job has been so supportive. My NSV this weekend is that the health coach at work recommended I try yoga, so I went to the free outdoor yoga class she was going to this morning, and it was hard to hold some of the poses because I’m still so big (CW: 293.4), but my body felt very relaxed afterwards and I liked it and I want to do it again. So unlike me to get up before noon on Saturday for a fitness activity. Who am I now? LOL31

I realized today I was really stretching my arms out in front of me to reach my steering wheel. I had to move my seat closer to the wheel a lot because there’s so much less of me between the seat and the wheel now! Haha26

I love this!! I've driven my same car since I started my weight loss/health stuff almost a decade ago (it was new at the time). It still amazes me how far forward I've moved the seat and how I can actually use the center armrest easily (had to have it up at first when I was 130 lb heavier). My car used to seat three people comfortably and now it seats four because I'm way up in the steering wheel even with my long legs14 -

Hihi the fat rolls on my lower back are no longer in the way, so I sit further back on the seat. This means I have to have the seat further forward or I can't really reach the steering wheel.9 -
All my good workout pants were dirty, and I had a choice between a fugly pair of shorts and a pair of size S workout capris that I have never been able to fit into (purchased online). I grabbed them and tried them on, thinking as I did so "I'll probably NEVER be able to fit into these, even at goal" and surprise, surprise, they fit!36

I’m wearing size XL again!
But this time it is boys shorts XL not women’s stretch pants/bottoms (and getting tight) XL. Boys shorts are inexpensive and come with pockets- and I really probably should have ordered the large, not XL because they are pretty big at the waist!28 -
After going through the torturous process of bathing suit shopping ladt week, I picked two suits that were what I thought were passable, but I was still not thrilled with how I looked in them. I felt like I was seeing no progress despite my 13 lb loss so far and was so disappointed.
I’m on vacation now, and wore one yesterday. I saw myself in the mirror and I looked so much better in it than last week! I don’t know if it’s just a better mirror, I’m a bit tanner, or whatever, but for the first time in this journey I feel like I’m making progress!36 -
Hit 3 Goodwill stores yesterday and came home with 4 brand new yoga pants, 4 knit tops, a soft leather tote bag and a navy floaty cardigan. The bag was $25, the rest were $3.49 each, minus my 10% discount card. With 25 pounds gone and another 35 to go, shopping Goodwill lets me toss/donate my old clothes as soon as they seem baggy. I've developed ninja skills at skimming the racks and recognizing my favorite brands--Danskin, Christopher and Banks, Ralph Lauren, NYDJ in the latest bags.22

Nice scores! I wish my Goodwill stores had discount cards...what!? I guess they're all run differently. I notice differences even between TX, OK & MO so that makes sense.
I scour Goodwill for Loft, Gap, Madewell, and vintage LizWear and Esprit. Had a few finds yesterday myself!

I love that dress. I am having the same realization wrt still overweight but significantly smaller size - I fit into 2 pairs of smaller pants that I thought I would have to get down to 60-62 kg to wear - but I have another 7 kg to go and still overweight yet they fit (tight, but fit) - I guess they'll be looser when I get there!8 -
My back boobs are gone. My back is still fat, but it doesn't bulge out under my bra. My "B" belly only looks like a "B" when looking at me from the side, the sides of the top part of the "B" don't stick out anymore. They still stick out at the bottom, which is where I'd been measuring my hips at - right below my waist, but not as much.
I'm more like a rectangle right now from the front than an overflowing hourglass, and I couldn't be MORE thrilled.
I can now feel the thing on the end of my thigh bone at my hips. So I have started measuring my hips down there. Is that more accurate? I've been so fat for so long that I have no idea where my hips are! The widest part of my body was about two inches lower than my waist. These hip bones are about seven-eight inches lower.16 -

Well, a few weekends ago I went hiking and when I put my favorite pair of pants on over my thermal leggings (hazards of hiking in Wisconsin in February) they were a bit loose. Didn't seem too bad and I was happy at the sign of weight loss. I got ready as usual. Well, unfortunately (fortunately?!) they were far looser than I thought and kept sliding right off my bum withing minutes of getting on the trail! I ended up having to use my emergency para-cord bracelet as a makeshift belt because there was no way I was getting through that 13.2 mile hike with those pants!
If only I could afford new REI hiking pants!
Hold out for one of their garage sales. I've seen some good hiking pants on sale but haven't bought any yet.4 -
My new, smaller work pants are already starting to fall down!16

I finally had to buy new underwear!
-20 from my previous lowest weight (-72 from highest), and this was the only wardrobe item for which I still owned accommodating sizes. Obviously I was in serious denial....19 -
Was able to back squat 185 pounds tonight, improved PR by 20 pounds

Another swimsuit NSV. I decided to try on my 2 piece bikinis since I lost about 1/2 inch from my hips. I had bought some 2 piece sets at the end of the summer and during the winter because they are on clearance during that time. They all fit pretty good but still a little snug around the hips. So I thought by this summer they should all fit comfortably. Well! I tried all of them today and they are big now The tops are now huge since I dropped from 34C to 32D. I honestly never thought that could actually happen to someone like me with my big hips. I’ve been told my entire life I’ll never have small hips. I also bought this 2 piece side tie bikini swimsuit from H&M. When I tried the bottom in December, i tied the side knots to my liking. Today I tried on the same bikini bottom and had to loosen the knots and tie it again much smaller and it was still big! I pretty much waisted some money. Thank goodness they were all on sale or clearance. But it’s a good problem to have. This summer will officially be the first summer in my adult life that I’m smaller with a normal weight. I’m super excited! I will make every effort to go to the pool or beach every month.23

Your hips are around the largest part of your butt. Right below my waist has always been bigger than my hips so I had no idea either XD3
