One step at a time, concentrate in having a good day today and so on, too much pressure could backfire, if you lose 200 lbs in a year or you don’t you’ll be much better by then ;) Good Luck!!!

That first 100 lbs can come off pretty fast, after that you will likely lose steadily. I thought I was the only person here needing to lose a good amount, you are not alone.

I'm so glad surgery went well. I was wondering if you found a ride. Stick with it, and us, and you'll make it!

Set up your stats in MFP and see what it gives you for calories. Get a food scale and weigh and log all your food.
i changed the calories it seemed high to me, i set it at 2500.

MFP does over estimate in my opinon. 2500 should be plenty, I think. And at your weight you will probably lose really fast. :) If you can, try adding a little exercise, even if it's seated! If standing is an issue even stretching for a half hr while you watch tv or toe touches, etc can be better than not moving at all.
