A few of my friends joined MFP too. They said that they've been following my progress on Facebook and wanted to know how I'm doing it. I've lost 56 lbs so far. I'm happy to say that one of them has lost 20lbs and the other 10. I'm so proud of them.

Last summer, these were a bit baggy but they fit. Today, I can literally fit two of me in them. They may, in fact, become a skirt because the one leg currently fits loose over my hips.

I planned in my calories to eat a bunch of hot Cheetos as a prize for eating so well and when the time came I had 0 desire to eat them, so I ate fruits and veggies instead. Mental progress!36

Trying on shorts to replace last summer's now way too large (and also now gone to GW) shorts. Bought 32" shorts, but tried on 30" shorts that I could actually button and zip up. They were just a little too tight and the last thing I want is to look like I am trying to wear clothes I am outgrowing. I felt a little vanity looking in the mirror at one pair in particular that I did buy. It's hard to believe I really did it.21

This is partly a scale victory, please forgive me. I haven't been able to exercise except arm exercises for three weeks now due to waiting on an appointment with a doctor. The NSV is I have been eating at maintenance (no extra calories because no exercise), logging everything, recording my scale weight and trying to take it with a grain of salt even though it was depressingly going up due to the swelling in my injured leg. In the past I have always gained back weight after being injured or sick so I was unable to exercise, and I vowed not to do that this time. The scale victory is it's working, today my leg was a little less swollen and my weight was down lower than before I was injured. So I am definitely still eating at maintenance and not gaining, despite being unable to earn exercise calories! And not eating my feelings despite being depressed about my situation!
Appointment tomorrow, y'all wish me luck, I need it!20 -

On behalf of @JuliBiGoolee why did this get flagged? I once got flagged for answering this question too. What gives? Do people think that flags are like bookmarks or is something more cynical happening?8 -

For simple patterns (read small things), I tend to pace around in front of the TV. Not cardio but a slight increase in NEAT nontheless.
My current project just doesn't allow it. (End stage of a sweater. Just too bloody heavy on my wrists).4 -
Being able to alter the pants I'm wearing to remove approximately 4 inches from each leg from the hips to the ankle. What a difference it made in their fit.11

One of my coworkers also noticed, which is nice considering I'm only down about 4 lb. since the beginning of 2018.
I went to a health event recently and there was a silicone model of what 5 lbs of fat actually looks like... it is a lot more than you think!

I have a sticker that says, "If knitting were exercise, you could bounce a quarter off my *kitten*." I'd be in amazing shape.

I had the same thing happen when I went to my nutritionist 2 weeks ago. I made a comment about "I know it's only 7 pounds" and she stopped me and pulled out something that looked just like that but it was a pound. She made me hold it and said "you lost 7 of these!"14 -
I lost 2 inches off my waist in 2 months!17

I've noticed that since now that my clothes are either sized medium or large, I can fit a lot more in my large suitcase that I could with my sized 2XL wardrobe. Wow, even my luggage can now be a smaller size. Haha.
This is so great. I love that I can hang up more of my clothes now that they are smaller. When I would hang most plus-sized tops & dresses on plastic hangers they would pull down and get lumps near the shoulder. Now things hang neatly unless they're very delicate/sheer or extra heavy items.

After having a very round baby face my whole life I was able to finally lose baby fat from my face! I have a jawline!22

Hahahahaha!
Got a new NSV today, too. I was going to bed last night, and I realized all my dress pants were dirty.
Threw them in the washer, promised myself I would get up early to throw them in the dryer ... and woke up late! I was so mad at myself! I put everything in the dryer, thinking I would wearing slightly damp clothes (the worst) so I wouldn't be late to work.
But while I was waiting, I decided to try on a smaller pair I had that was way too tight to wear in public two months ago. Not only did they fit, they were loose! I had to wear my belt, and what started as a crappy, hectic morning turned into a great one!37 -
I've spent the past two days in seminars for work, meaning a lot of sitting and little walking, hotel lunches, and boring topics (I mean, some folks can get excited about auditing, but I'd rather be out counting steps). Anyway, two NSVs:
1- because Monday was my birthday, I allowed myself a brownie with lunch. ONE brownie! And not the biggest brownie on the tray either. And didn't feel the least bit guilty (I'm 3 lbs from goal).
2- after getting home yesterday, there was still daylight left, so I went for a 2.5 miles walk before supper.25 -
I did 4 pull-ups with 25 pounds added to the weight belt!!!29
