Food, because I wouldn't last half of that23

What kind of fast is it and why are you doing it? People use the word "fast" for so many different things now.

i would keep the black coffee on tap with lots of water. Also, to keep my minerals up, I would mix 1 tbsp apple vinegar, 1/2 tsp pink himalayan sea salt, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar and 1 whole lime with 16oz of water and chug once a day. That's it. Any caloric intake no matter how small could spike insulin levels and negate any benefits of my fasting.32

What are you hoping to accomplish with such a horrible idea?10

There are no health benefits to fasting. Unless it is for religious reasons best to avoid.

Check out Valter Longo, Jason Fung or Cole Robinson on youtube. There are many benefits to fasting. The first two have written books about the science behind it. There is even a fasting center called True North in CA.39

Don't know about the other two, but Fung is a crackpot woo peddler whose "theories" have been soundly debunked by actual science. He's a laughingstock amongst evidence-based researchers. Just another one like Dr. Oz who has sold out his credibility in the medical profession in pursuit of fame and big money for peddling his garbage.18 -

That's absolutely hilarious!
Unless of course, if you're serious.12 -
I do a modified 14/10 eating window. 48 hr fasting? Well different strokes for different folks I guess. I would probably fall out. Best of luck to you.1

IMO, a fast means nothing but water or maybe other largely calorie-wise liquids (black coffee), unless it's some specific religious fast with different rules.
Fasting for weight loss or "health" or whatever is stupidly trendy at the moment, IMO, including ridiculously long and probably unhealthy fasts. That said, I don't think 48 hours is a big deal (have done them 36 hours for religious reasons, wouldn't be much different).
Why do you ask?4 -

I usually do 16/8. Fits my life. Thinking about a 48hr fast.6 -
Wow! A simple I don't fast would have been suffice. No worries.7

There are lots of different kinds of fasts, so it's hard to say without more details. Water fasts, juice fasts, egg fasts. There are religious fasts that allow nothing between sunup and sundown. There are fasts for medical procedures (definitely check with your doc if this is you - they vary from procedure to procedure).
The best thing I can suggest is to decide what kind of fast you want to do first, and then follow the rules from there. One person's fast might be nothing but water while someone else gets to have jello and gingerale. Just "48 hour fast" doesn't tell us anything.1 -

TBH, your question was vague, no one here can read minds. You posted a question 3 days ago and only returned to it today. What gives?7 -

Ketoers are usually all about the water fasts (only water for 48 hours) or the egg fast (eggs, oil, and cheese in set amounts). But again, it depends on what you're looking for. They'd be very different kinds of fasts.0 -

Just trying to see what others experience is with such a long fast

You do not need to fast to detox. That's what you have kidneys for.9
