So many fantastic races were run this weekend! Like @lporter229, I'll offer a blanket congrats to everyone to avoid offending anyone I miss (I suppose I could've stolen @7lenny7's list of racers, but that would be just cheating ); I enjoyed reading all race reports!
@7lenny7 and @MNLittleFinn You both have nothing but my deepest admiration for taking on what will be one helluva tough race. Taper well!
@Elise4270 We just started watching A Series of Unfortunate Events on NetFlix...yeah I know, everyone has already watched it and I'm pretty late to the game, lol.
I'm supposed to be tapering this week ready for this weekend's Texas Big Star half marathon. I guess I'll be starting the taper tomorrow instead! It also really doesn't help that all the Easter chocolate that was on sale at the store now seems to be sitting in my house.
Must. Resist. Chocolate. Eggs.

Ya Gary.. I've seen it, actually I rewatched it last weekend.. How about Stranger Things? That's an Awesome watch. I like kid shows too.
Warning: ya watch stuff with the kids and forget the adult world exists.... 80% of what I watch it something my kids watch. I'm not complaining. Love tv with the offspring.2 -

No run today. The weather was ick, and I was starving when I go home! I swapped and did tomorrow’s strength training and a short walk after letting my dinner settle.
Reading everyone’s race reports gets me so excited for my far-away marathon, but then I get nervous and start freaking! I’ve done multiple halfs, so I KNOW I am capable if I stick with my training, but it is still nerve-wracking to think about.
Upcoming Races:
Phoenix Rising 5k 4/21
Wineglass Marathon 9/305 -
So, next chapter in way too much info about Eponine's health...
No running yesterday or today. Had planned on running yesterday, but my anxiety had a tight grip on me. I spent the day sewing (I'm designing a quilt pattern and I want it as done as possible before my surgery Wednesday). Around 1 am, teething toddler wakes up because his Motrin has worn off. My husband takes him downstairs for his next dose and a snack. I feel a trickle of something, head to the bathroom, it's like a crime scene. Call my sister (the ob-gyn), get in the shower to clean up, and get ready to go to the ER. Luckily my mom was visiting so she could babysit while I had CT scans the following morning, so she stayed with the teething toddler while my husband drove me to the hospital.
Short version - I got lots of blood work done, ultrasounds and my CT scans. My bleeding slowed and I got sent home. My oncologist called, it's technically the C-word. She saw nodes in my lungs, I think the word is metastasized. We'll skip the surgery on Wednesday and just go straight to a single agent chemo. Most people tolerate it really well (no weight loss, no hair loss) and the C-word responds very well. I start tomorrow afternoon.
I spent most of the day today sleeping. I'm not sure how I'll be feeling/when I'll get to run again. But at least I don't need to recover from another surgery.29 -

@eponine1984 No words, just hugs and prayers.
Yeah, wow. Sorry.1 -
Oh no, @eponine1984 . I'm just so sorry and wish I could do something more than just send hugs and all the positive thoughts your way. Hoping for swift and effective treatment and that you have lots of care and support.1
-
@eponine1984 I'm so sorry.....my expressions of sympathy and support feel like an inappropriate and meager response....but I offer them....3
-
Oh @eponine1984 So sorry to hear. You and your family have our thoughts/ prayers.

4/1 - 4/8 ADK vacation, no running!
4/9 5miles
Got home Saturday afternoon after a 12.5 hour car ride! I got it in my head that I want to redo my kid’s rooms a few weeks ago and decided on the way home that we must swap the furniture in the bedrooms so that I can start on their rooms. So being the loving and amazing husband he is, he unloaded and unpacked all our gear from our trip, then helped me swap furniture!
I spent most of Sunday prepping the walls and painting both bedrooms! My arms are feeling it for sure. Both rooms look super cute, but now I need to organize all their clothes and toys... ugh, that’s an even bigger job than painting both rooms!
So today I headed out at 11am to run, a little bit scared after taking 9 days off. I felt good! Ran just over 9 minute miles. So taking a week off won’t kill my running after all
3/18/2018 Shamrock half marathon

Oooo... So many new things to watch. @shanaber I started Mad Men then DH found this dumb show, Psych and I've bee watching it. It's funny dumb so I don't have to think much following along!
I'm gonna check out Eureka, although I'm almost positive DS and I watched it. It was great! I saw Orange is the New Black some time ago... might pick it back up. Dh will question the woman on woman sex... And I'll have to endure his teenage boy like jibs. So...
I'm taking notes on all the other suggestions. Thanks!
ETA DD brought me a pizza. OMG. I just might break my "diet"... Although I have a business trip, and new clothes that I need to be able to wear...
And @katharmonic chocolate mint chip is my favorite.
Another USA network goodie is Monk. One of my favorite shows even though it’s been over for years. Thank goodness for reruns.1 -

@shanaber, @PastorVincent eh, the moment has past. I'm reminded by my niggling hamstring concerns and hip tightness, that running wouldn't be the wisest thing to try without the official go ahead.
What's on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon? And what can I binge eat?
Coming from the one who got a lecture from her pt today for the 4 miles yesterday... I am proud of you for resisting.
Also- my current Netflix binge could solve both your issues - great British baking show like I’m binge watching this badly enough I’m not keeping upwelling on this thread...0 -
April: 20.1 mi/70 mi goal
All of the race reports and pics from this weekend are really impressive and lovely—congratulations to everyone who raced!
I had a nice sunny post-work 5 mile run tonight. The temps here in Seattle are pretty ideal (I think 60 tonight?)—wish I could share with everyone! But not the rain, which is supposed to return tomorrow. I have another work trip later this week, so just trying to log some miles while I can.2 -
