I didn't know it at the time. But I started this challenge on Feb. 14th at (Male/30/ 5'4", 195 lbs), when I set a utterly vague and completely non-committal goal of trying to do a little better for myself in no specific way and somehow 50 days later I weighed in just under 175 pounds. I started going to the gym every other day and from that I started eating right too. After weighing out the first meal I never stopped, and for the past 30 days I've counted every single I ate thing down to the gram with a 1500 Calorie/day goal, which I've stuck with quite strictly. I'll enter again though today for the next 20 lbs, down to 155. I don't know what happened to me, I just popped off that day.

Yes, it has been a couple of weeks since my last post...But here I am. Doing fantastic! Keeping on track, not feeling denied or missing my extra chocolates.

This past weekend was our first shakedown backpacking trip for our July New Mexico trip. Nine Scouts (teenagers) and two adults, one of the Scouts couldn't make it. We had a GREAT weekend. I ate a lot (we tend to do that to stay fueled) and still managed to drop 1 lb during the week.
More important, I felt great and we all had a blast. What a great group of guys.

Making great progress. I am actually a bit ahead of plan. Knowing the first lbs are easier and the last few can be quite a challange. But I am ready.
Thanks for keeping me on track.
